What kind of content are you comfortable playing?

With the very generous login rewards this month of two free DLC dungeons, it seemed a good time to see how my fellow ESO'ers feel about ESO content in general.

PVP and the IA aside, what is the 'most difficult' type of PVE content that you feel comfortable completing when playing TESO?

**Edited to make the poll question clearer**

**Edited further to make the topic heading clearer**

At this point in my gaming life, I have no further interest in group content. I love MMOs for the "active world" around me, but I'm too old and crochety to mess with others in groups any more. No patience for all that now....

Well. Actually, the only reason I had any patience for it in WoW and RIFT was due solely to the fact that running instances in those games was done in my own friends and family guilds, which I ran, and ran to suit myself.

Oh, and unfortunately, the story bosses in the quests since High Isle are really now too hard for me, so zone stories are no longer included in what I love and play.

answered Progressive Veteran trials, because I've done that at least a few times and would probably be willing to do it again.

i nearly always play as Healer in Group Content and as long as i (and the group) can learn the mechanics and i am able to be there i feel like i can do anything.

    edited to add:
most of my time in eso is spent on Housing or overland daily quests though

I selected overland content only, because overland and questing is what I enjoy the most, meaning that's what I prefer to play (a la poll question). But I also do normal dungeons and arenas. Not sure why the overland option has an "only" and the other options don't.

The poll asks what is the most difficult content that you are comfortable completing. Not what you necessarily enjoy or prefer to engage with on a daily basis. Though that would also be interesting to find out!

    Thank you for clarifying!
I voted base game dungeons on veteran, no trials.
I can complete DLC dungeons on normal and normal trials, but those require prior knowledge and study, something I can occasionally do but I would not classify as "comfortable" - It requires serious effort, hence why I rarely do them.

If the question would have been what I enjoy, btw, WBs and WEs are my favourite content. Certainly not Dungeons or Trials because I am lazy by nature and I don't want to stay focused and take responsibilities for 20+ minutes, even if they can surely be exciting.
Infinite Archive is different because I can set my own clear pace, stage by stage, and quit whenever I want - I really enjoy it!

Enjoy/have fun playing - Option 1: Overland Content only (and excluding ToT) !!

Because the poll specifically wants to know what I can still comfortably complete, I had to vote Option 2 - Base Game Dungeons on Normal, no trials. Not much fun, but completely doable.

With all the rest, ESO makes me feel like an endless red-areas-everywhere-but-don't-stand-in-them chaotic dance game that I have no interest in muddling through, even if I could. And in everything harder than normal, I usually can't, anyway.
Seriously, it feels like "harder" only ever means "colour more of the ground red at any given time" or "spawn another gazillion of adds" or both. *rolls eyes*

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    Question:
"What kind of content do you prefer to play?" ('prefer' being the specific word)

    Answer:
Overland content only, (including housing, crafting, fishing, ToT). ('only' being part of what I actually prefer)

    I only PREFER Overland...

And to edit for clarity, I prefer playing content that is comfortable to me. Still my original answer.

Can't vote since there's no option for what I prefer. XD

Questing, fishing, housing, roleplay, antiquity chases... But also 6 key pledges as a duo (I tank, my friend DDs), normal DLC dungeon gear farming... Veteran DLC dungeons for monster helmets, cosmetics (I have Beast, Worm Wizard and Blackmarrow Necromancer, did the meta achievs with my friends). I've done normal DLC trials in the past but I'm about to step into vet DLC trials as a backup for a prog group, DD role.

I voted for dungeons but not trials, but it's not the difficulty that puts me off trials, it's that I've heard they can take a lot of time and I can't reliable be online for long at any given time. I don't want to annoy a group (or myself) by having to leave part-way through so I just don't bother with them. They seem to be entirely optional anyway.

It’s hard to vote on this, I guess I have multiple choices.

I would like to be in a prog trials group again but I spend more time doing overland stuff because it’s easier on me and more relaxing.

I prefer to do group dungeons on normal because it’s faster and easier on me too, and I’m doing it with randoms now.

Yes, but the heading asks what kind of content do you prefer to play? There is clearly some confusion between the heading and the question.

I voted for the first option as it's the nearest one to my preferred content - excluding ToT which I have no interest in - but my choice of gameplay is entirely about what I like, difficulty level and comfort completing it have never been a part of my gaming choices.

Progressive veteran trials with chill groups where they don't care if u wipe over and over while learning mechs. and then I'll also just join vet trial groups with almost no knowledge of what to do if I haven't done that trial enough, i don't mind playing harder content, it's fun to learn and engage in + the rewards are very good for the content.

All my dungeons on vet too, hm is fun as well, just hope the group doesn't get their panties in a twist over every little thing or have fake tank (since I'm primarily healer don't have to worry about fake heals), I also prefer to full clear dungeons for chance of script drops, luminous ink drops, etc, I play vet dungeons for making gold after all.

Why are things like housing and ToT included in "Overland"?
Apart from crafting none of your included activities are things I really do, unless it's placing a certain number of furnishings or catching some fish for an endeavor.

The only "real" housing I've done is getting all the stuff necessary to turn a house into a crafting and utility place. Even there a friend was nice enough to organize this all in a slightly more eye-pleasing manner than I had originally done.

    I chose Overland content.

Log in ---> daily endeavors ---> daily writs ---> surveys from writs ---> buy some motifs for me or alts ---> arc 2 in IA (just for daily quest + maybe some leads drop) ---> the rest of my play time in ESO mostly hunting Leads for antiques/questing

I can't see how the poll is relevant to this month's login rewards

I'm not comfortable doing housing, fishing or ToT.
I used to be comfortable with crafting, but lately the seat springs have all broken.

I have no enthusiasm whatsoever when I login now.
If that was the real question here.

I chose base game dungeons on veteran and normal trials. Base game dungeons are more fun to play as a DD. The DLC dungeons are too mechanic heavy and make me feel like I have to spend most of the fight having to do everything except deal any damage. Not enjoyable at all.

    Overland content is enjoyable too.

That's been the most useful post about the issue of 'free DLC dungeons' that I've read.

I can't really reply to the poll, as it's no question of "feeling comfortable" for me, but a question of interest.

I just have no interest running around with random people. This rules out trials (yes, I know that some people have soloed a trial, but I heard it's difficult and takes forever; I'm probably too impatient for that) and some harder dlc dungeons.

Soloing base game dungeons on normal and vet is no problem, and I've also duoed a few dlc dungeons with a friend.

But just because it's doable it doesn't mean I enjoy doing it regularly. And that's where it's a question of interest again: Running the same dungeon again and again is uninteresting for me. I'd do it once for the story, then maybe repeat a few times (over the months and years) because I liked the mechanics of some bosses. But I have no interest in seeing the exact same thing 10, 20 or more times.
