This on PC I say armory is mostly used going between PvP and PvE or Tank and dps/overland.PeacefulAnarchy wrote: »swapping out a couple of skills and gear isn't a big deal on PC even without addons. Can't speak for the controller interface, though.
Armory allows you to swap cp, skill morphs, stat assignments, mundus and ww/vamp, so more than addons can. Meanwhile the limits on armory slots mean the armory isn't useful for the kind of fight specific setup switching you're talking about.

Sorry but they do. Try switching all your gear in 0,05 sec on console. You just can't do it. And we are talking about some instances where your time impacts your score.

It does when you are talking about World Records, as World comprehends PC, Console, NA, Europe, etc., all together.

No, "world" does not cross the PC-Console border. "World" can encompass NA vs. EU or XB vs. PS, but the people who care about these things make a distinction between PC and console.

What they encompass is simply their opinion, but not how a World Record works.
A World Record is a WORLD record. A World Cup is a World Cup, don't care if a team is stronger or weaker, if it has better infraestructure or worst. World Record means the TOP score, time, etc. in the planet.
Whoever tries to separate or make it look different is completelly wrong.
In any case, you can make "vAA PC Score Record", "vAA Console Score Record", "vAA PC NA Score Record", "vAA EU Score Record" and so, and each will be the BEST score record on each server and/or platform(s), but only the TOP Score of all those will be the World Record.
PC is a computer, Xbox, etc. are Consoles, NA (whole America in fact) and EU are Continents, the World is Planet Earth.
For the purpose, imagine Guinness accepts TESO, go to Guinness Records and try to put Xbox High Score Record as the World Record if there is in fact a higher score in PC. Good luck with that.

Those who care about this stuff know the difference. For the rest it does not matter.

They can care, know and tell the story they want, but reality is other and the World Record will always be the top one.
World Record is only one, the rest are just records.

It's not working here like in your IRL examples, all score pushers making a platform distinction. Opinion of people outside of their group aren't much relevant, those are different environments still.
Agreed. Their reasons for not allowing us to use the Armory Assistant in places with leaderboards is flawed.
- Anyone can still swap gear, skills and champion points manually because this game only prevents changing these things while in combat. It's definitely not like in Destiny 2 where some activities literally lock your loadout preventing you from changing anything.
- Changing gear, skills and champion points manually with the Keyboard UI only takes a fraction of the time that it takes to change them with the Gamepad UI.
- PC Players can also change gear, skills and champion points with just ONE button click thanks to addons, because for some odd reason the devs allow addons to work in leaderboard activities.
Everybody should be allowed assistance with changing their gear, skills and champion points in leaderboard activities, or else nobody should be allowed. Balance. Equality. Fairness.

As mentioned in one of the posts above, Armory allows change of Mundus stone, morphs, and ww/vampire state. To my knowledge, addons cannot do that.

And? The benefits and help that addons provide is a far bigger deal and creates even more imbalance.

We are on different platforms and not competing with each other unless we are talking about World records (and I'm not convinced that it's a problem either; I already stated my opinion on that matter). Yes, a lot of those addons would be great if added as QoL to the game. But we are not there yet (and not sure if we will ever be), but that is not the reason to advocate for not allowing them.
