Yeah this is too much trouble. I won't bother. But I do keep a toon logged off at a portal for seals endeavor. BUT it doesn't count towards achievement unless you actually go in a portal, closing one doesn't can't for achievement but it counts for weekly and daily.
I really expected SOMETHING for just being here 10 years. Something available ONLY to players that have had forum or game accounts for 10 years.

Good luck you only get 10 slots per house and that's including the important banker and merchant.
There are already a lot of items locked behind achievements. For example, you can get dyes, non-combat pets, emotes, furnishings, etc. for completing achievements in-game. The items aren't put into the crown store. You just automatically get them when you complete the achievement.
I don't see the difference between that and having to go to the crown store to pick up a free item tied to an achievement. The only difference is that you have to go to the crown store to get the item. In other words, there's an extra step, but otherwise no difference.
They’re trying to get us to do content by dangling a free carrot.
The things currently in the store are time-limited (as the monthly extra things in the store during the last few months had been). Reason:
True, but the OP doesn't like them because they involve a specific activity, not because they're time-limited. However, that is a small difference between automatic-achievement items and crown-store-achievement items.
But if you enjoy doing an activity, there's no difference. The only drawback to the time limit is if you can't play the game during that time period for some reason.

Buy a bigger house? And I do not mean for crowns. There are plenty of them offered for gold in game. Many of them do not even require any achievements.
Be careful what you ask for: if the item isn't locked behind an achievement, then it will cost money.
I agree. Although actually it's not even questing (OP wrote about a dislike concerning questing). It's just running into the portal and killing a list of enemies, plus the last boss x times.
Of course it doesn't change a thing if it's an activity one dislikes. But it's the way it is, I guess. I've been lucky this time because I already had the achievements before (I did a stupid amount of these portals after Blackwood was released for the furniture that sometimes drops with the boss chest), but who knows what it is next month. If it's PvP achievements one month, well, bad luck for me.
That was EXACTLY my point: ZOS aren't going to give the item away for free: there's always a price, whether the price is an achievement, an ESO+ subscription, or crowns paid for with real life currency. So I wasn't calling anything free.Be careful what you ask for: if the item isn't locked behind an achievement, then it will cost money.
You can't call it free if it requires an achievement that may include a DLC that you may or may not have. It's not free and ZOS might as well charge crowns for the item if it's not going to be available for everyone.

@ESO_player123 Even the biggest houses only allow 10 of either or a mix of, mounts, pets, house guests, bankers, merchants in TOTAL!

I misunderstood in this case (I thought the poster was unhappy about the total number of slots). Yes, the game does not support making a zoo.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Deadlands a free DLC?
