Unhallowed Grave insane damage

Hello all, I had some questions. So as far as tanking the last boss of Unhallowed grave there are times when I have issues and times that I don't.
For context, I play all tank classes. Right now, I am playing my Nightblade tank. During the last fight I either die as a one-shot to grasping void (The unblockable skeletal hand) or I survive with like 8k health and I can break free and easily heal back to full.

I am wearing Turning tide/Olorime (Back bar)/ and Masters S&B, so when puncture hits, I have about 38k resistances with 40k health. I have minor protection on with dark cloak.

Why does this ability nearly kill me every time when I am completely buffed up? Does anyone have any clue as to what I could be doing wrong here? I've seen some videos of people tanking this, and they only take like 20k damage. Whereas I am taking nearly my full health bar.

You have to make sure you’re hitting resist cap at the time of the hand hitting you, and then break free after it hits you.

So while you can not block the stun, you can block the damage from the hand. Rumor has it that the new update brought back the block glitch, so yay. I've also seen that using Immovable or slotting Slippery can help with the cc to avoid subsequent damage.

Going way over the resist cap won't help you. You made no mention of the other sources of mitigation that's available. Nightblade, after all, has arguably the best mitigation toolkit.

Mass Hysteria (maj. cowardice)
Power Extraction (min. cowardice)
Revealing Flare (maj. protection)
Frost Clench (maj. maim)

For this fight, my bar setup typically looks like this:

Front: pierce, cloak, extraction, hysteria, and flare
Back: clench, siphoning attacks, blockade, chains/flex, flex

If you're running 3x DDs, you can probably get rid of chains and turn that into another flex spot. With three DDs, two DDs can kill the two groups of bombers while the third DD kills the big skeleton 2-hander. But if you don't have a third DD to kill the big skeleton before it powers up, you can prevent the powerup by using chains and clench (wait until it gets close to a pad, then chain it away from the pad, then immobilize it with clench, and by the time the immobilize wears off and it has gotten close to the pad again, it should be off cooldown for you to chain it again).
