Now every chapter adds lots of new items, but our available inventory space hardly increases.
One forum member once wrote:
I'm sure at this point I can avert the Planemeld by simply chucking my bag in a random Dark Anchor and plugging all of Coldharbour!
:D
And even with an ESO Plus subscription, my inventory space is starting to suck. I don’t want to deconstruct gold gear just to get Transmute Crystals back!
- Lots of items are bound, and can’t be handed to another character or sold through a guild trader.
- Lots of items don’t stack, like siege gear, treasure maps, stolen vs. not stolen items.
Really the only choice is to either sell or destroy stuff I’d rather keep, or spend most of my time playing ‘inventory management; the mini-game’, not my game of choice really.
Now we’ve had a few inventory pets which increased inventory capacity in the recent past;
-The Mournhold Packrat for +5 inventory capacity (in 2020)
-The Bristleneck War Boar for +5 inventory capacity (in 2021)
-The Explorer's Pack Donkey for +5 inventory capacity (in 2022)
But since then we’ve had the Necrom (in 2023) and Gold Road (in 2024) DLC expansions, each offering an even greater variety of sets, items and mats!
Now ESO Plus subscribers have access to a separate, account-wide Craft Bag inventory for storing Crafting Materials. Craft Bags have a technical limit of 4.3 billion for each type of item, meaning that in all practicality the bag can hold infinite materials.

Since there’s an ‘Infinite Archive’, isn’t it time we got something like an ‘Infinite Inventory’ as well?

I wouldn't want infinite storage but I do think the bank storage purchase cap should increase a bit. Its been the same since launch (or at least close to) and there are so many more items now.

A 'Furnishings Bag' would certainly alleviate a lot of the storage issues many of us face.

I have ESO+, so ingredients aren't the problem. It's writs, surveys, fragments that I can't use until I have all of them, furniture, and other items. My bank is already stuffed with furniture. And as fast as I do writs and surveys, I get more. I think an increase in slots is overdue for everyone, in addition to some storage improvement for ESO+ subscribers.

I'd prefer them to address the underlying issues and prevent players feeling like they need to hold onto hundreds of items, rather than putting us in a constant loop of adding more stuff some players will want to keep, more space, then more stuff to fill it...

More storage means ppl will store more, and still complain,so never ending cycle. It's why they made collections.Too many transmute stones?Transmute looted weapons to nirnhoned for 50 crystals each, decon, and you should get about 50% chance to get potent nirncrux back, depending on passives you have unlocked. No more needing to store geodes, and make some extra gold.Furnishing storage?Just buy all the homes you can afford, and dump stuff in em,best to do it by theme.Bound items can be put in bank and other chars on same acct can get em.You get 360 spaces in coffers if you got all 8.Buy multiple accounts or get friends together make guilds and use 500 slots after 10 ppl join.Lots of ways to manage inventory, though a but larger bank/bags would help.

Put more storage in the crown store.

    Storage=Revenue.

I've been in marketing and you have a captive target market. A 100% revenue steam. You should really add a lot more inventory space ... for a price, of course. Unless the storage takes up server room, this is one time small investment (copy existing code), virtual sales that has no COGS. What are you waiting for?

I don't have inventory space issues anymore, since I started chucking all the furniture I get into a random house, and I have ESO+

however, I have always hated the 'inventory management' mini-games some games want to force people into, especially when you have the combination of not knowing when/whether something will be useful at a later date (bonus points if it seems rare/hard to obtain) and items that cannot be traded/stacked/used until certain conditions are met.

I understand the concerns with multiplayer games over potential concern for lag with people hoarding everything, but outside that? If people want to hoard items in a game, I say let them.

I don't want more inventory space because that would make character inventory management a bit much for my taste, but I DO definitely see a need for more bank space.

There was a time that ESO+ made all the difference due to the craft bag. Today10 years later, despite having an ESO+ subscription, with every DLC piling on so many new items (antiquities, treasure maps, survey maps, furnishings, etc), Lux Vendor introducing a new item every week, etc.. all the while bank space not growing to account for that growth, it's become untenable.

Sure, yet I (and some others with ESO+ as well) still struggle with inventory. I have to spend time managing inventory that I'd rather spend playing the game. I have to constantly sort through items to see if there's stuff I can sell or destroy, sign in with alts to see if they can remove stuff from the bank, dump furniture in houses without taking the time to decorate, do surveys and master writs to keep my character's inventory down, etc. Just because we already have storage benefits (that we PAY monthly for) doesn't mean we shouldn't get more. I also said everyone should get more slots.

I voted NO because I have enough at max inventory space and have a way of managing inventory automatically with addons marking trash and auto sell/deposit. It barely reaches capacity. But more is always welcome..

If you are out of inventory space now and ZoS doubled the amount of slots in the bank and on characters you would be out of space again in a month and wanting more.
Somewhere along the way you have to decide hey I don't need all this stuff.

Furniture is either made or bought.

    Stop buying it.
    Stop making it.
    Problem solved.

Don't ask for it to be deconstructable.
ZOS won't give you anything back other than 3 pieces of wood, a piece of bone and a Ta.

    EDIT:
Logically speaking, you can find furniture in streams, lakes and oceans, by fishing for it. Another reason not to fish.
Also with antiquities, apparently. I can't bothered doing them either.

I want a pack guar as seen across Morrowind! Why are two of the inventory pets gimmicky?

But more via another means would be welcome as well — for me the biggest difference would come from better accessible storage of furnishings. No, I don’t want to decon them. I try to minimize using “inventory houses”, in large part because the add-on, Inventory Insight, does a better job keeping track of each of my characters’ inventories than house contents.

Um, no? I want to have it available for my projects and pieces are not always available for purchase or available at a good price. Or I may change my mind, redecorate, rebuild, in which case whether I sell or keep the furnishings depends on many factors. I enjoy this aspect of the game so if intensive inventory management is the only way to do it, so be it, but I’m not going to deny that I wouldn’t appreciate expanded storage or other options.

I agree that deconstructing furnishings would be a poor option that is better not bothering with.

i wouldnt complain about more storage, but i personally dont need it

my bank is <150 out of 480 slots used

mot of my characters are at about ~30-40 out of 160-215 slots used (i have a lot of characters without even maxed mount capacity yet lol)

storage chests i mostly use for misc stuff i dont need cluttering my bank, like extra event junk, or the hundreds of xp scrolls i barely use

i personally have never used the armory system, and only have 1 set build at a time per character so im not hauling around a ton of extra gear
    plays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Sure, but what's the point of doing some of these activities if not to try for that lead or furnishing or whatever? Getting loot is a huge part of MMOs. If players have to get rid of stuff they really want to keep, or don't pick up stuff they really want, it's not a fun gaming experience.

I blame ZOS for the bad inventory management. Sometimes there's 7-8 items in a reward coffer. Or a mudcrab will drop 3 items. And they keep adding stuff, stuff, stuff, without increasing any limits. It's all to push people to subscribe to ESO+ out of frustration so at least ingredients are under control, but there's so much stuff now that even an ESO+ subscription doesn't help as much as it used to.

I don't need more bank space. It's hard enough to search thru as it is. What I need is a furnishing bag. That would really help.

And if not a furnishing bag more storage chest would be good. Those I can use to sort my inventory and file things to make them easier to find.

This is the way I feel.

No, I might not use all the furnishings I get right away, but that doesn't mean that in the future I won't use them. I don't want to find the perfect use for the Tall Papa's Lamp, then have to go find the lead for it, then go dig it up, and then hope I remember exactly where I wanted to use it.

So, until I have that place I want to use it, I want to be able to store it.

It is the same thing with other furnishings, and basically other game items. I would far prefer to NOT have to run around trying to obtain the items I need, when I need them, because I can't store them due to inventory management.

As for buying them from other players, sure, but why would I when I can obtain them myself, albeit before I have a use for them?
