Is there still anyone here with me hoping to see a fix, finally, with next week patch? Or is this thread going to be removed from sticky ones without seeing the requested toggle added to the game options?
It's time to make this a toggle zos, lots of people don't see any improvement to the inventory, opening writ boxes and using the champion points screen are instant migraines.
So sad to see a great game ruined by eco nonsense.

I still check back too, I mostly gave up hope, sure sucks after putting in 1k plus hours.
Any chance someone fixing the server could flip a switch to turn off the forced environmental features that ruin some of our game experience?
I'm guessing we are a minority, but it truly is baffling that zos cares nothing for those who are now unable to play this game.
I actually love eso, but now it is impossible to play, and has been for like 6 months.
Once again stating clearly that I want to play, but looking at inventory and champion screens especially give me a migraine and make me vomit, in that order.
Even if only 1000 of us were negatively affected by this decision, that's a thousand less people who love your game.

Last time there was an emergency maintenance issue that took about a day to fix I missed out on the end of the month Daily Check-In Rewards because it locked out the last day of the month. Moreover, I missed out on my daily endeavors. Most days, I only log infor the daily check in reward and the daily endeavors because I wait until my scheduled days off to play the actual zone, PVP content or DLC stories or work on achievements. So my question is this: in addition to plying us with gifts for being denied play on a game many of us pay a subscription fee to play (which you truly ought to do) are you going to also credit us for 2 days worth of daily check in rewards and daily endeavor points? I can't make up for what you failed to allow me to achieve. I pay for ESO Plus, and I buy the annual DLCs. I deserve to not be denied because your system went down. My PSN name is Fox_N_Vixen. I check in every day. I want what's due me for my money and my commitment.

Also, if I preview something in the Crown store like a mount, I see this ridiculously low frame rate when my hardware is supposed to be guaranteed 60 fps. It definitely makes me not want to buy anything.
I’m all for sustainability, but what’s the actual outcome of this? Qualitatively, this has been an unpleasant addition for many console players for a range of reasons. Is this affecting server performance or providing demonstrable energy consumption savings that can be quantifiably demonstrated to console players?
It’s problematic to force this on the subset of players with fewer options for interacting with this content. Disappointing that this has remained ignored. Tagging @ZOS_Kevin in the off chance that this catches his attention.

Don't count on it.
The current issue wouldn't make it possible or plausible for changing something inside the game.
And even after months of updates the Sustainability Features won't get removed. What can happen is that they will try shaping it so it bothers players less, like what they have already done.
Map is now normal again at 60fps. ✔️
Menu is still capped. ❌
Pressing enter to open chat will lower fps to 30. ❌
Being AFK will lower screen resolution and fps. ❌
Oh, look. Most of the problems are still there. Well, they really want to keep them. Companies need to have a good image out there, and Microsoft is going heavy on Sustainability, but that is "trashing" the game while they yell "don't throw trash around".

@ZOS_Kevin any word if they’re going to finish resolving the issues outlined above?
Hi all. We're gathering some feedback regarding the Environmental Sustainability Features added in U42. Specifically, we would like feedback on the following patch note:We're seeing your feedback about menus capped to 30fps is causing issues for some of you. Please let us know how it is impacting your play experience. We are sharing this with our teams to better inform them of your feedback and how we can improve the experience overall. Additionally, if you are experiencing other framerate issues with either your menus or player character, please note those here as well. Thanks, all.
- Reduced GPU use in Contextual Menus (Xbox Series X|S and PS5): When viewing most menus, (eg. managing inventory, achievements, quest journal, etc) framerate is now capped to 30fps. Some menus are exempt on a case-by-case basis (eg. conversations, various mini-games). Testing in Performance Mode while in these menus shows a 50% reduction in GPU consumption, resulting in overall power consumption going from approximately 63% of the maximum possible on a console down to 37%.

It blows my mind that someone in ZOS thought it's a good idea to implement it, and even put it as a priority over other stuff. All this while PC players have machines the size of a refrigerator, consuming 10x more power.
The decisions of the team are so bizarre that for the most time I think they're bugs and need to be reported.
Can you please elaborate what have you, or the world gained from this change? For example, console players gained a migraine.
Adding my voice to say that the blurry screen after some moments of AFK is seriously uncomfortable. It causes eyestrain and can contibute to migraines on a bad day. Please make this a toggleable option.
I thought the game was actually trying on the accessibility front, but as many others have said, this "feature" can be detrimental to people's health and well-being, and I don't at all like that it's being ignored like this.

I think that is the least of the problems... The worst is capping FPS in menus at all times, but lowering resolution and FPS when you are specifically AFK shouldn't be that noticeable or even uncomfortable, because you are AFK. No need to look at the screen at these times. I play on Xbox and there's a setting that dims the screen after 5 minutes AFK. The game lowers the resolution and FPS and the screen is dimmed, but I'm not paying attention to that, since I'm AFK.
