No more than 4 gems from any crate so far.
This is a marketing mistake. It's really only showing why you shouldn't buy crates.
Please go back to giving XP scrolls or riding lessons or research scrolls.
I disagree.
Most of the rewards I receive are utter trash but the gems add up over time and it's nice to have the option to buy the very occasional crate item I'd actually want to use. Few fit the Elder Scrolls aesthetic so there's not a lot of them.
And rarely but it happens, those crates give me something I do like.
Meanwhile all of my xp scrolls, riding lessons, potions etc. just chew up space on alts I don't play. Not deleting them just in case one day they make them convertible to something useful like eg. gems.
I like to use those gems to buy small things from the Crown store. The ratio for prices when buying with Seals does not seem to be 1:1 so cheaper items cost more per capita for than for more expensive items.

✭✭✭Both iterations are VERY UNDERWHELMING now. Though they have reinforced my view that Crown Crates are not worth the cost now.
Getting very few Crown Gems is of very marginal value as well.PC

Grec1a✭✭✭IMO the Order of the Lamp crates are the COAT (Crate-est of All Time) and the Xanmeer ones are the worst, so I was really hoping for gems.
Not sure what I got in my 4th crate - the game bugged out - but apart from the headdress, body tattoo, two face tattoos and the skin, everything else could be converted to gems.
My gem haul this time was a whopping 71
Love these free crates! It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...1 -
Out of 5 crates the best rewards I got were the Nightfall Sabre Cat Cub and the Lustrous Nix-Ox Fabricant Steed.
And gems, of course.1 -

Got lots of gems too though, so I'm excited to spend those on more Xanmeer loot once they return to the store.
