10 year anniversary achievement is too much... ?

Hello! The truth is that the game is 3 years old but since the missions are not mandatory to do endgame I never did them.

I feel that the achievement is very demanding, and it is not fair for those of us who play and do not do history nor for those of us who do PvP I suppose too...

Can someone tell me if they think I can finish all the achievements. in 1 month?

Is it tempoary? I didn't see any mention of a deadline to complete it, so I assumed it was a permanent addition to the game.

I think if you really wanted to dedicate yourself to doing all the quests, you could get it done in that time frame.

However, you have as long as you want to get it done--the achievement will be available forever--so don't rush if you don't want to. The article does kind of make it sound time-limited, but it isn't.

I don't see what the issue here is. They added a cool new cosmetic for those who want to complete an epic pve quest. OP calls this "very demanding" and "not fair." Why?

Because they (like a lot of people it seems) assumed it will only be available tempoarily.

That would be in line with other recent bonus rewards, like the costumes for having done Wrothgar achievements or the current house guests for doing some housing achievements.

I only have the Gold Coast, Telvanni Peninsula and West Weald main quests to complete, but I'm in no hurry. I'm not a big fan of these skins, because to me they break the Tamriel immersion by making my character look bizarre.

I only finished my alliance DC's story in February and the Harborage quests 2 weeks ago, despite nearing 2300 CP. Now my warden healer is questing in Auridon and my stamarc in Bal Foyen and once they do their respective alliances and possibly the Harborage quests, only then will my main do Cadwell's Silver and Gold. I have done some DLC out of order but it will be a long while before I ever get to the Gold Road story, and that is ok. Questing is time consuming, and as someone who does dungeons/trials/pvp I don't get to quest much, but it is still easily achievable, it is not something that is above your average paygrade like Planesbreaker or Swashbuckler Supreme. It's awesome they have a special reward for questers :) and it will still be there, as all achievements are in ESO

You know what is very demanding and unfair? Those Glory to the alliance pvp achievements, as someone who doesn't PvP with AD or EP lol

Pretty sure some zones are literally an hour maximum listening to all the dialogue and no skips, so it's fine. It's also not some time gated thing, you can get it whenever you desire so not sure why hurry it up.

I think they're perfectly aware that many players feel this way making this is an interesting choice for a 10 year anniversary gift.

Though I don't feel the need to be given anything for the anniversary.

I'm more than happy that they stories are finally being stressed, even though that I do feel the skin do not have much to do with quests or story lines or any memorial sense.

As of fairness, if you don't beat all vet achieves, you don't get THE special mount from vet trials; if you don't pvp and become emperor, you don't get its costume or the title or to buy the throne; if you don't grind the anniversary you don't get the style pages, unless you logged into PTS back then.
So I guess your best bet might be to get yourself into some unfair ban and then rally others to swarm the forum for skin as compensation?

You want to get the shinnies in game without playing the game? There's the option of crown store. But it's certain that you can't buy any single shinny with RL cash, otherwise there would no meaning for a fictive universe to exist. And I would rather spend those money on RL stuffs to get myself some RL shinnies instead if that be the case.

Not even to mention that there are no unique and absolute definition for "endgame", and the term "endgame" doesn't literally mean the end of your game (or the very last thing you would do in this game).

    So pretty fair.

1 hour, really? I don't think I've done any zone in less than about 10 hours playing.

I doubt there's anything they could give players that everyone would be happy with. People have different tastes, one person's dream reward is someone else's junk they'll never use.

Not just with video games, I once worked in a place that was selling a series of vases for over £1000 each and I genuinely thought it must be a mistake (and contacted the relevant department to let them know) because I wouldn't have paid £10 for them, I thought they were hideous. Apparently they were a custom, very limited series by a famous artist and very reasonably priced for what they were. They sold out in under 48 hours.

Immersion? I truly don't understand this. It's a fantastical video game. If you are looking for immersion, there are many options out there for medieval games or realistic Skyrim mods. How is a skin so reality shattering? Why are you playing an MMO if you do not like typical MMO things? The game already has tons of "unrealistic" skins for arena, dungeon, & trial achievements

I think the skin is cool, and it stands out so people will know which one it is

I think it's good because I don't need the skin, but it's still a little reward for getting around to quests I wanna do anyway.

If anyone feels compelled or forced to do it, that's probably something they should work on. If they just wanted the skin, I think the work involved compared to the skin is probably too high.

I kinda wish they'd made it an outfit style where you get more pieces of it the more of the achievement that you do. There are already nice achievement furnishings for finishing the zone quests, but a bit more would be nice.

You can take the next 10 years to finish the quests for all ZOS cares. It is simply a new achievement being added with the Gold Road Chapter.

They do have one for Gold Road, similar to how Shroomtender worked in Necrom. No UESP page yet but Tianlein has a YouTube video showcasing it if you are interested

I do think one for the 10 year achievement would have been super cool though! Maybe next year they could do something like that

If you're focusing on it it's the case, if combat isn't something difficult for you to begin with. Some ad zones I remember took me less than an hour when I was refreshing them couple years back. Stuff dies fast at a glance and horse if well fed, so it's about dialogue length mostly. Edit: MQ of them, not doing zone to 100%.

Its an ugly skin I will never use, quite honestly a slap in the face as the reward for completing every main questline in the game, here are some things which would be worthy rewards for such a daunting feat.

    - An exclusive Player Home, maybe the White-Gold Tower itself as a player home.
    - A unique Mount, A Werewolf with a Saddle IDK
    - A Shehai Weapon style for all Weapons that functions like the Glombound Weapons

Because they (like a lot of people it seems) assumed it will only be available tempoarily.

That would be in line with other recent bonus rewards, like the costumes for having done Wrothgar achievements or the current house guests for doing some housing achievements.

But the mechanism of delivering those costumes and houseguests was very different, which should have suggested the availability might very well be different here. While the costumes and house guests required achievements, they were not rewards for the achievements per se. They were limited-time items made available for free via the Crown Store to people who had the achievements done.

This skin is an award for a new achievement that is being added to the game itself, not a Crown Store item being made available for free based on some prerequisites. Most achievements can be completed at any time; the rest have regularly recurring windows. The events that have achievements associated with them are the most regular events as well (Witches, New Life, Jester’s, Anniversary, Mayhem). It would not make sense to add an achievement that could only be completed during one short time frame and never again.

I wish the announcement had been clear that this new skin would be available permanently, no question, but players also have to be careful about making assumptions when the evidence doesn’t support them.

I have less than zero interest in the Brotherhood. Yet we must complete Gold Coast storyline. At least they didn't include Cyrodil - that's a hot mess for PvE (maybe for PvP, too?)

Only thing that annoys me is that it includes the newest land, West Weald. Sure, the achievement is doable in whatever time frame you want, but to include the new chapter seems a bit much. I don't normally bother getting the new content until it goes on sale after release and they've had a chance to work out the first couple rounds of bugs. Heck, I haven't even completely finished the Deadlands onwards yet on either account.

Then again, I have a full time job and many other things which require my time rather than gaming. So ::shrugs:: maybe that's a "me" problem.

I have completed every single single-time quest and every storyline in ESO. I just wish the skin would resemble the adventuers we've had rather than just being a fullbody version of the 10 years logo design.

Marks from all the creatures and entities we've fought, the sieges we've survived etc.
But no, we'll be all black with golden veins. Whatever that has to do with the stories we've played through.
