What are you planning to do with your new house?

I'm thinking of making it a major smuggling hub run by the thieves guild, with a market on the topside, and the cave filled with the rarest and most valuable items and artifacts stolen from around Tamriel, for sale only to the most exclusive clientele. What about you all?

    1. It will be useful for my newer characters, the next time they need access to either Bangkorai or the Alik'r Desert.
    2. I was planning to do (and record on video) a walking tour of Tamriel, and this provides a missing link.

This is a little too ambitious for me, I haven’t filled a house yet but slowly keep adding stuff as I come up with ideas.

Unsure. I was going to furnish it but then it seems really difficult to furnish? So, I think I might turn it into storage... but not sure. Though also about making it another Maormer house but hmm...

Going to use it as a sort of display warehouse for now, as I have too many housing projects already in the works and don't want to start another one.

I think the whole cave system is magnificent, and could absolutely see myself making a necromancer's lair or something one day.

You have discovered the thirty-seventh Sermon of Vivec, which is a bending of the light, long past the chronicles of the Hortator who wore inconstant faces and ruled however they would, until apocalypse.

Probably storage house for a while, like Doomchar. I need get junk from other smaller houses lol.
Tbh don't know at this moment. I don't have time and inspiration for any housing right now. But that house have some potential for big projects.

Since it fits my username so well, it's gonna be a treasure hoard.
Also, I've got the font of Auri-El shrine thingy plugging the big hole. Pity the tent can't be moved, though.

I know it's difficult to avoid with a poll, but the options are a bit too specific and mostly kind of negative. There's only one that sounds like you actually like it, and that's quite specific, and the rest sound more like feeling obligated to do something with it.

It's certainly not my dream home (Mornoth Keep remains my personal favourite) and I think if it was full of stuff it would clash with the theme of the place, but I've liked the idea of having a cave home that's not a Dark Brotherhood sanctuary for ages, so I want to do something with it, I'm just not sure what exactly yet.

I want to find a way to conceal the entrances to the cave (except the well), but something I can get through without moving them. That might be as simple as a door, or I might try to do some elaborate arrangement of rocks with a narrow path through them, I'm not sure yet. Then hide some random stuff down there.

I might also try building a camp on the surface because I like the idea of doing that, but not enough to buy Moonsugar Meadow, which seems like the ideal location for a house like that.

I have two "homeless" characters at the moment. One will move in, the other will have to wait a bit longer.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

Nothing, it will sit and collect dust until the end of time
I already have several houses, several of them extremely large, that I've barely decorated them... which is why I typically tend to buy a 'furnished' house and then just add inventory chests, etc. With this house being unfurnished, it's probably just going to sit and collect dust as I don't have time, or desire, to furnish it.

This house makes a nice warehouse. No annoying doors that make me exit the housing editor. Most large ESO houses aren't designed to accommodate the limitations of the housing editor. It isn't as open as Doomchar, though.

I'm building something fun with it, and enjoying it in the spirit that it was given. :)

There's a lot of potential for creativity and I intend to get creative with it. But it's going to be a fun project over time, and I probably won't be packing it to the rafters.

Going to decorate (already started on both accts) but it'll take a good long while as I'm tinkering around with ideas.

However, the underground passages give me a spot to hide the extra furnishings stored at Hundig's so I can finally finish that build! Definitely a win-win.

I set 6 Companion Houseguests and 3 or 4 other houseguests to walk an identical path just to see who is fastest...

I eliminated both guards and M'aiq the Liar because their base walking speed is much slower than average.

No, the results are not consistent, but whomever starts out slightly faster or slower will keep that pace pulling ahead or falling behind as they walk their paths...

Nothing, it will sit and collect dust until the end of time
I'm was kind of torn between "warehouse" and "dust-collector" as far as my main characters go since they've accumulated several mansion-class houses over the years (and bunches of stuffs through Antiquities). But then I remembered my alt account, whose housing consists of one inn room per character (two total) and Sword-Singer's. I'll probably do something with it on the alt account in due time, but probably not decorate it to the brim. It's a nice house, but it's not real conveniently located with respect to wayshrines.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

Probably just storage if and when I have excess furnishings, and as a travel point for characters that need it. I don't really think much of it as a home, to be honest - which is not to criticise it when it's free!

I'm going to decorate it but not sure what it will end up being yet. I usually start with a few things and let it show me what it wants to become. Most of my houses except for my characters' personal homes become something other than just a living space.

I will use it as a warehouse for the billions of furnishings I have no space for
Until they come up with a furnishing bag, most of my furnishings will be placed in storage houses.

I've always found it fascinating that ZOS would rather have millions of unused furnishings placed with x, y, and z coordinates taking up space on the server, rather than letting them be kept in stacks as a simple item number in a virtual bag.
