Additional considerations for the extended length of the account lockouts

When the account lockouts were first announced, the e-mail that I received said, "You can expect this to take 2-3 days to complete". But with the lockout now lasting for at least eight ten days, there are a number of additional issues that I think needs attention that were probably not on people's radars when they were expecting a considerably shorter lockout duration.
  • Mail expiration: Would it be possible to slip something into the Monday patch to temporarily disable mail expiration? Or maybe temporarily extend the expiration period from 30 days to 45 days?

  • Antiquity lead expiration: Likewise with mail expiration, would it be possible to disable expiration temporarily, or to extend the expiration period?

  • Event tickets: I understand that the inclusion of the Confetti in the announced package is likely intended to alleviate the ticket problem, but we're now looking at a loss of at least 24 tickets, and there are some people who may have purchased the Confetti pieces before purchasing other items, which means that the Confetti from the package would not offer them any ticket relief. I understand that the ticket cap likely makes the granting of event tickets impractical, so in lieu of that, I would suggest the following:
    • Unlock the two morph fragments for affected accounts. I think most accounts probably bought these already (I know I did), but I imagine that there are some who might have spent tickets on other items such as Confetti first.
    • Grant the affected accounts all of the new Impresario furnishings introduced in this event (7x replica cake slices plus this year's replica cake; all together worth 10 tickets).

  • Daily login rewards: There are two notable daily rewards that I hope could be granted to all affected accounts:
    • The costume collectible
    • The 300 Crown Restoration Potions: This is not a cosmetic and is something that aids actual combat gameplay. And because of the power is granted by the potion, it is easily the most valuable reward of the month. If you were to buy 300 equivalent player-crafted potions via the guild trader system on PC/NA, you're looking at spending about 1200 gold per potion, or 360K gold, making is by far the most valuable Daily Login Reward of the month.

@ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom If you could please do something about these relatively modest things, I would appreciate it.

    Hard agree with everything here.

It is also entirely possible that any items sold and gold granted via mail from my guild trader after the rollback time has been reverted; if possible, I would like to have any lost guild trader revenue back.

My main concern now after the announced compensation is getting the costume from the log-ins and the cake slices (and associated achievements). Potions? I have sooooo many crown potions I don't even know what to do with. If they gave those, neat, if not I couldn't care less.

Mail is a concern, along with guild store listings. No idea how those are going to be sorted. Hopefully as they look at each account and comb through it they do something to ensure any mail and sales get to us safely.

Tickets I only care about for the aforementioned cake slices. I already got the two morph pieces and the horse is now covered. If we got the slices or just enough tickets to get them I'd be fine. I usually like to top off my tickets by the end of any event to be ready for the next, but I'm so caught up that I'd be able to make up the difference with whatever the next event is anyway. So no biggie there aside from the cake slices.

If I got those two things, I would be perfectly and completely content.

Can't guarantee that we'll get the daily login rewards we're missing, but I have a feeling customer support will be helpful if we contact them. When the power was out in my city for multiple days, I explained the situation to customer support and they told me they'd send me whatever login rewards I was missing at the end of the month. So I think there's a pretty good chance they'd treat this situation similarly.

I live on the daily reward pots. I'm a tank main, so every one I get from dailies is one that I don't need to get with Columbine, while all of my DPS friends but all the spell pots they need with their weekly guild event in Cyrodiil. I know there are so many people who are all "! have 3600+ tripots, please stop putting them in!" I respectfully disagree. I need every one of those, and would happily accept donations from people who don't need them if it were possible.

But yes, that costume is something that is not obtainable otherwise. I think I did manage to get in on Monday before 9:30 so I might still get credit for Monday's rewards, but that means that if I'm not able to get in by Thursday I won't get it. But there are a lot of people who didn't get Monday's reward so they won't be able to get it unless we're unlocked by Wednesday.

I can't remember what leads I had, but I usually let them sit until we get an antiquity endeavor so I bet most of mine are expired by now. Oops.

Ah well, I'm not going to gripe about the rewards. We're getting quite a generous compensation, even if I did already farm all five pages before this and I haven't bought something with endeavors in ages. I just want to play again and check some things out on PTS with my actual characters. I did also want to take advantage of the XP to level some weapon skill lines now that we know there are achievements coming, but it doesn't look like we'll have much event left after this.

At least I've got other games to play while I wait. I hope that NA stays on PTS through week 3 this round to account for this so I can check out my characters there for a bit of time, but I doubt it will.

That's what I'm thinking/hoping too, is that if we can go on and say "Hey, I was one of the accounts locked out. I wound up just one or two days short of the costume. Could I snag that? I don't care about any of the rest." they'd likely be more than happy to give it. For all its faults, ZOS does tend to have reasonable support people for that sort of thing.

Assuming we are unlocked by Wednesday, I should just barely be able to get the costume collectible, assuming I did my math correctly, it'll be the last day. That means though that anyone who missed a single login reward before the lockouts, or if the lockouts aren't lifted in the first half of the week - everyone, will be locked out of it, which does need to be addressed.

Also as an avid PVPer, I was very much looking forward to those 300 Crown Tripots.

Thanks for raising those concerns. I haven't been too horribly worried about mail since I keep my mailbox clear and it's mostly the Hireling mails that need clearing anyway. I'd collected guild trader sales before logging out on Sunday night, so it's at most a few days of those which will need picking up. My trader slots were nowhere near full, so I'm doubtful that my mailbox is, either.

I'd collected the login rewards through the 14th, so I'm kind of keeping my fingers crossed that there will be at least 7 days remaining when accounts get restored (the end-of-month stuff is the usual, but the costume isn't).

Antiquities Leads are a different matter. Several had clocks ticking. While I don't think I had any which were within 7-10 days of expiring, that question has been wriggling at the back of my head for a couple of days now and there's currently no way to check on it.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

For myself, I asked if they could potentially apply the compensation towards this new account, rather than the locked one, since I already had most of the jubilee mount completed and event styles, and I have been loving the Necrom Deluxe Collection key they gave me to help me get back into the game.

I think that support can apply specific collectibles if they are missed out on due to the lockout.

Personally, I am hoping everything goes well on Monday with the patch maintenance and then the rollbacks. I am thankful for all their hard work, and looking forward to Gold Road later this year

I think the mail and lead expiration are both great points. The tickets, while they would be nice, are probably too much of a headache to figure out.
But the costume collectible (which I would almost certainly never use) should definitely just be given to everyone. It's supposed to be a 10th anniversary celebration thing, and now there's folks who have spent half the birthday party locked out. giving the costume to everyone would ensure that people who only missed it because of the PTS lockouts get it, and if people who weren't locked out but didn't log in enough to get it end up benefiting, cool. It's supposed to be a party, err on the side of generosity.

So with the Event Tickets, the minimum number of Tickets each player is expected to spend on the Confetti Packs to get the mount is 15, assuming that they do not miss a single day of the Event (including the 4 hours after the final reset).

With the compensation package, we get the full amount of Confetti Packs. That's 15 tickets worth for people who haven't bought any of the Packs.

We are guaranteed to be locked out for a minimum of 8 days, which is at least 24 Event Tickets that we're missing out on. That means that there is a minimum 9 ticket discrepancy between the compensation and our missed Event Tickets.

I've already spent 9 Tickets on Confetti Packs before I got locked out, so that makes my ticket discrepancy a total of 18 Tickets.

How do I get those? I've already purchased all of the cake slices, and planned on getting two each of the Jubilee cakes from this year and last year (to match the two each I have of all the others). How about the personality fragment I'm missing? How about building a stockpile of Tickets in preparation of the next event?

This discrepancy needs to be amended. The Seals of Endeavour, nice as they are, do not solve any of these problems.

Just adding my support for this post as well. The daily login rewards especially are a particular concern for me as well as any leads pending.

While I appreciate the seals and the event items as we won’t be able to continue farming them these other items become more of a concern as the time ticks away.

I’d give them a minute. When they came up the compensation package, they also appeared to think our access would be restored by late last week. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that they will amend this package the longer our downtime goes on.

I would imagine that after 3 days without an update, and this being the first business day, that there would be an update soon.

They said they would update us after the patch today. We are still waiting for PTS to be live again (and hopefully they double check before anyone logs in).

I’m mostly concerned about the costume from the daily login. I know I logged in everyday while my account was alive. And I can miss up to 9 days before I’m unable to get it. While I’m not in desperate need of the costume, it’s 10 year anniversary. I’d like to look back on this one day. :’)

You made a good point just now. On top of fixing our account access/integrity issues, they also had to likely fix whatever caused this problem to begin with (and who knows how complex or simple the fix was), and launch date for gold road if I had to guess, has top priority.

Seems they are adding the Cumberland Anniversary Attire costume in addition for locked out accounts.

Though, considering that players locked out will be missing the entirety of the rest of the Anniversary Jubilee, even with the extension that will likely end before the maintenance to restore the accounts, will they be adjusting the rest of the compensation, or did they take that into account when setting the number of seals?

It would probably be too much to ask for them to add more, since there has already been enough back and forth on social media and these forums over the compensation.

I'm anticipating that it could take even longer than Thursday to restore all accounts that will be restored.

    Wishlist for compensation:
    * The compensation to be applied to this alt, Anachronian, instead of the locked account, Anachronia, due to the main already being close to completion of the event's unique rewards before the event ended and the benefits would be better suited for this one than the other.
    * 1 Glorious Anniversary Jubilee Gift Box per day of lockout
    * 3 Event Tickets per day of lockout, not sure how this would be handled, through Customer Support or selecting current/past ticket unlocks to apply directly to the account?
    * Bound Trueflame Replica Style Page, Bound Staff of Worms Replica Style Page, Bound Barbas Helmet Replica Style Page, Bound Sunna'rah Replica Style Page, and Bound Ul'Vor Staff Replica Style Page
    * 25x Jubilee Confetti Packs
    * Non-Combat Pet: Ayrenn's Fledgling Gryphon
    * Costume: Cumberland Anniversary Attire
    * Orsinium DLC, since it was given away freely earlier this year in March?
    * This might be pushing it, but perhaps a discount on a Gold Road Upgrade Key, Deluxe or Regular?

Not sure if I should @ZOS_GinaBruno or otherwise to forward these ideas?

That one is easy, just give everyone affected 750 crowns per missed day, that way you can either buy the tickets, or get something actually useful from the crown store other than cosmetics.
Some might complain about it, but i think it would be a good solution, especially to the ones who are still locked out.

The longer this goes on, the more I think about all the daily writs I'm not doing, the Jubiliee boxes I'm not opening, the mats, gold, recipes, transmutes, and style pages.

With 13 max toons, it was taking me 30 minutes to do 91 daily writs. 10 days is 910 writs and jubilee boxes I'm no longer opening. There are people MUCH more dedicated than I am, with 18 toons and farming world events all day. They're at minimum missing out on 126 writs/boxes per day, maybe 200 with farming, 2000 by 10 days of being banned.

The compensation was great when we thought we would be banned for 3-5 days, it stung when we learned it would be 7 days, but 10 days or more with nothing but a lame costume I won't use? I don't want to bite the hand that feeds me so to speak, but this is getting ridiculous.

Do I really think a bunch of cosmetics accounts for what is essentially, in game power through gold/materials/transmutes and 100s of styles (cosmetics) I'm missing out on? No, not at all.

1 overpriced mount (16k endeavors) which people seem to be hung up on and 1 month of ESO plus (which should be a given as we're paying for it) does not account for the amount of trouble this is causing.

Worst of all. I just want to play the damn game lol.
