Can confirm that the boxes come from dolmen boss corpses and you must be top 12 in damage, and the staff style page comes from the dolmen reward chests.

Asking only because I didn't know anything about them being made available until I looked at this thread.

I got Trueflame at my 3rd fishing node. In Apocrypha.

Got Trueflame in Stonefalls where water and flame meet. No buffs of any kind. Four or five fishing holes in, bam!

Trueflame took me 4 hours and north of 400 casts. I fished in Apocrypha and Arteaum, with the drop coming in Arteaum.

Ul'vor took me 4.5 hours of running between geysers. I lost count after 30 geysers; it was many hours after than before it dropped.

Working on the Vvardenfall drops next. About two hours in and nothing so far.

WBs are 100% only top 12, just like dolmen bosses and almost every overland boss in the game

for staff of worms and ulvor staff, those come from the participation chest of the dolmens and geysers respectively

trueflame comes from fishing, literally anywhere so it doesnt matter which zone this occurs in

Honestly not bad for a "rare", fishing was fast and both vvardenfell ones were around one hour of camping so like twice longer. Not looking forward to geysers and dolmen spam.

ive been seeing mixed results on things

i know someone who spent all afternoon yesterday killing vvardenfell WBs with neither of the drops from that (they had like 100ish WBs killed and no style drops)

That's the annoying middle ground between common and actually rare, which I personally really dislike, but still better than common.

I've been farming for a day now, and there are no drops from the bosses yet. I have probably killed the boss 500 times now. I only got the Trueflame style so far.

This event is extremely disappointing. It seems that they nerfed the drop rate even further from the PTS after the tester told them it was way too low to begin with.

you dont need boss kill credit for the drop, that comes from the participation chest which requires dealing any amount of dmg to any enemy

the dolmen or geyser boss is what drops the anniversary box, but not needed for the style page

I want the boxes. Getting solely garbage and a 1 in a million chance at a style page doesn't best the mats, motifs and whatnot from the boxes.

Here's my update:

- Already recv'd Truflam from fishing nodes (4th node)
- Found Sunna Staff in V yesterday, took a couple hours (no Barbas yet)
- Recovered the Ulvor Staff in Summerset from Geysers, about 2 hrs
- Currently trying for Staff of Worms which so far is taking an extreme amount of time. Over 5 hrs so far.

I probably shouldn't post this however might as well with all the Arcanist flashing around. If you are having trouble getting credit for kills, this is what I do and it works 100% of the time:

- Overlap AOEs on everything (similar to Vat or Malestrom combat)
- Use Soul Assault on main boss OR a really strong Ult DOT
- Use Ul Regen abilities and know how to regen Ult quickly from other sources
- Profit

It's way better than spending 2 hours for Trueflame and 16 hours on the world bosses with zero drops yet.

when i was at geysers yesterday there was like 30 people at each one and sometimes the boss would almost not even render before it was dead, you do not want any direct targeted effect to try to hit the boss lol

i was doing geysers for around 2-3 hours yesterday and no ulvor staff, but i got trueflame after 60-70 fish, and staff of worms after about 12 dolmens, did not try much for the stuff from vvardenfell WBs

Yeah if the boss isn't lasting that long then Soul Assault wouldn't do much for you anyways but that's how it is for that situation. In V doing WB it works just fine, I've used it many times to quickly get my share of the damage and it always works, if it can work.

Sometimes AOEs is all you can do really or try to compete with a bunch of Arcanists spamming a truckload of damage.

So far for me the Vvardenfell world bosses have been a pain. I've been trying to fish between spawns, but it's hard to empty a hole and get back before the next boss spawns, so I've missed a few. Haven't tried the geysers yet, but the dolmens are easy box grinds. Got the staff to drop after about 5 or 6 dolmens.

I'm wondering if perhaps there's too many people trying for it in Alik'r. I've noticed the larger the player pool the harder it is to get things like leads. I'll switch gears and try a different zone.

Btw - Just to be clear, there are at least 100+ players in Alik'r for the last couple hours and pretty much everyone I've talked to have said same as me. So if some were lucky then that's good, I would be thankful for that and move on. But for most of us, at least those of us in Alik'r looking for the Staff it has been quite the wait.

i was doing dolmens in deshaan, far less players per dolmen and the dolmens are still conveniently located near shrines

I've been running Alik'r for boxes because the mobs get wiped out so fast that the completion time is optimized. I don't even bother trying to hit the trash, because they don't drop anything, other than the two side clusters that spawn with the boss. I just ride up to the boss spawn point, throw up some buffs and an altar for the players, and just load up my other bar with stackable maximum burst damage to hit the bosses when they drop out of the sky. Almost always get a box corpse that way.

As for me, yesterday got the TrueFlame and both Vvanderfell ones before 3pm. This morning I got the Dark Anchor and Summerset ones at around 6am. Yesterday, I have been farming Dark Anchor non stop until midnight. Seems to be a cool down when getting those bound styles.

Got my Trueflame Replica style from a river node in Stonefalls. It took quite a lot of holes with all fishing buffs running but wasn't the worst farm ever. I only did it in Stonefalls because that was where it had originally dropped as a "unique" item.

Not having as much luck with the others though.
