Orsinium being given is fine. Many of us bought it years ago. I didn't enjoy it and wouldn't feel strongly about it, but certain NPCs + overhyping became abrasive over time. But new players should try for themselves, regardless of opinions.

My real answer would be Other:

The most useful would be Southern Elsweyr.
If you know, you know. I'd be grateful for that during times I don't sub.

Imperial Edition would also be nice, if only to buy the house for gold.

    Anyway, the official article says:
Don’t worry, this is only the beginning of the 10th Anniversary fun. You can discover even more amazing ways to celebrate (and be rewarded for doing so) a decade of ESO with us in April, when we kick off the 10th Anniversary Celebration in earnest.

    Sounds good!

They are giving Scions for free also, which is amazing. At least to Plus members. A great deal even if you only sub for a month: all the Plus benefits + the newest DLC free. A shame for those who aren't able to due to their location, though.

i would accept any for free, my problem is i bought all of the DLC as soon as it came out so nothing can really be given except collectors editions (which i havent been buying lol)

i believe they are giving the scions of ithelia dlc away for free for a period though, which is new that nobody has (as its not out on PC until monday)

i also got the deadlands dlc for free with that event bonus

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

    Orsinium
I’ve already bought the DLCs I want, including Orsinium. I’m still glad it was a login reward even though I personally didn’t benefit from it. It was from year one, and appropriate to give away as a 10th anniversary reward.

Only two of these orignat3d as dlcs, the rest are chapters turned dlcs...

And honestly, I likely would have chosen dungeon dlcs thst have gear I need.

I then would have bought a fresh copy of the gold coast to obtain "free" copies of the chapter dlcs.

Crap, somehow missed that Orisinium was one of the answers.

Since I literally own outright all of the other options, that would have been my top choice. Followed by any of the Autumn DLC that weren't already offered as a reward at some point.

Lucky for you, they already announced that Scions will be free. Well, almost free, you need to have eso+ active to claim it. (source)

Now if I could have picked, I'd have gone for Dragonhold. I'm not sure why they'd give the actual expansions away, but I love everything Khajiiti so that'd have been my pick, personally.

Still though, even though I own all the DLCs anyways and gain nothing from this giveaway, it's still nice that ZoS are even doing it anyways. Let's loads of players try it out for the first time, and anyone to own it even if they've it through ESO+ anyways

You don't own any of them you rent them with your sub. As soon as your sub drops you lose access.

Essentially the correct answer here is one of the DLC's which has endgame content that you want to do locked behind it.

Historically in ESO Imperial City and Nerfmire have both been given away before so giving away them again wouldn't be helpful. Orsinum was a story related choice so it makes sense to give away this time because of access to Maelstrom Arena. Markarth would be the next best because of Vate arena.

Let's look at it in order of what was released and how it is grouped up in the Crown store... The Guilds and Glory pack includes Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood.... Imperial city was added to base game awhile back, now anyone that claimed Orsinium will have that part of it, now it just leaves the other 2 to complete it. Logically ZOS would include the other 2 and drop them from the Crown Store

While true, I never allow my subs to drop. 3 subs is cheaper than dinner and drinks once a month - and doesn't include a drive of 80 - 140 miles round trip....

Orsinium is a chapter in all but name, being the first big dlc to drop.

It shares many of the features a chapter would otherwise include, and is a similar sized zone.
Museum quest, 2 public dungeons, new arena, etc.

It's assumed ZoS changed the model after orsinium, making future "big dlcs" chapters instead.

Orsinium doesn‘t have a Trial, a new class or system(juwelry crafting, antiquies/scrying, companions, tales of tribute) and the territory is bigger than some other territories but not as big as a chapters territory. Orsinium is a big dlc, but not big enaugh for a chapter even if the idea of chapter existed by then.

This now leaves Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood as the only non-free DLC that predate Morrowind, which is now free.

To be honest, Thieves and DB should always have been base-game *anyway*. There's even a CP star in the base game that refers to the Blade of Woe, which you can't get without the DB DLC.

There was also Elder Scrolls Online:Gold Edition that included the base game and first 4 DLCs Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood. Now that IC and Orsinium are given away for free, Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild are the last extra content Gold Edition gives and when they are also given for free there is nothing left except base game, which is also included if you buy all chapters.

Orsinium provided a new system tho: The very first solo arena, including leaderboards.

The current structure of daily quests (including the motif farm) was also implemented with this DLC/proto-chapter.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.
