The problem is that past performance has frustrated many players, whatever is said now. It would take substantial indications that they listened to concerns to change that.
I would NEVER want @ZOS_Kevin 's job!
That's true. But given the time table they have established, the next best step is to make sure they have put in the fix by the next MYM. So bring this topic back up around the time this hits because 1 year from now would definitely not be acceptable. Luckily, this event runs again in June/July.
Oh wait they outright removed the scroll? Amazing. So we're two for two on events with a critical failure in it somewhere that has caused a feature to be removed or in this case, out right not work. The quality control is really showing to be lacking already, and we're in the second month of the year. Not looking good for the rest of it, I will say.
At this rate I'm going to need new trousers, just when I thought I couldn't keep my wallet further away from ZoS, it turns out I've ended up making a hole and now it's even further away

Just like then, I ask again, is that there one person at ZOS that should have realized these things before they go live? Did they lose or lay off BOTH of their quality control staff members or something?

I'm pretty sure you didn't have to use the whistle for last years witches festival either. I'm gonna assume that you won't have to eat the Jubilee Cake either this year to get the buff. I know it's a minor thing but it's a detail that makes the event feel more like a event and less like the standard game. Feels like in a year you won't have to select any buff snd it'll be automatic.

I suggest for the future, if you want to make sure things such as this work and are fixed before an event goes live, you participate in the relevant pts.
Which would have been in October.
Right now they are working on the jesters and anniversary events, and I assume that and Gold Road are where most of their QA staff are focused.

I guess @Gopher waiting another year?
Well, apparently for some oddball reason, they decided they didn't want us "saving up" the 100% 2 hour buffs on alts. I find that petty, if true, but otherwise why would they have done it?

It does kind of stink that these things aren't able to get fixed in a hotfix type of way to allow people to get a chance at getting these right away versus having to wait so long.
