I just wanna add to this that when they removed glyphs proccing sets, that they also removed fun builds (Ilambis). I hope they will add something to give ww some thematic/class flavour. Being able to change skills to do flame/shock/frost/magic damage will restore alot of build diversity.

I agree. We can already put glyphs on our weapons to deal elemental damage while in Werewolf form, and we can also use sets to proc elemental damage, so I don't see the harm in allowing Werewolf to have an in-kit source of some elemental damage, if such a Grimoire can be justified. An in-kit source of elemental damage would also allow Werewolf to use many more sets, as you've mentioned.

Honestly, I'd be happy even if we didn't get to use elemental damage types, as long as we get a Grimoire of some kind. It'd just help out our builds if we could, especially knowing that the status effects are being reworked this year, and some of them would be desirable to use with Werewolf.

So, Update 41 in 2024 has given a guaranteed proc of Hemorrhaging on the initial hit of Pounce and its morphs. It also fixed the Pursuit passive not being re-enabled after a transformation minigame in the Infinite Archive, and it fixed the Salvation set not granting the weapon and spell damage when the 5th piece is equipped while already in Werewolf form.

It's great that there's been some bug fixes and minor tweaks to the skill line/playstyle/subclass so far in 2024. While I don't expect Werewolf to get to participate in 2024's Chapter features (like Scribing and Skill Styling) this year, I do hope that this trend of adjustments and bug fixes continues throughout the year. I'm honestly really excited for the day that the Werewolf skill line gets to have Skill Styles and Grimoires of its own.

The list of Grimoires for 2024 was revealed, and it's confirmed that there are none for Werewolf. Without a Grimoire specifically for the Werewolf skill line, werewolves won't be able to use the Scribing system at all.

Instead, it seems like we're getting two Soul Magic Grimoires this year. That's cool, because it demonstrates how the system can support multiple Grimoires for the same skill line. Maybe some day we'll get one or more Grimoires for the Werewolf skill line?

Just check these threads to see how badly Werewolf is being nerfed in Update 42.

Yes, they have been severely underperforming for years, and the Update 42 nerfs may be the final nail in the coffin. Changing their primary damage to cleansable bleeds and status effects that proc cleanse, heal, and self defense sets, adding a required (and purgeable) "buff" that, by their admission, does absolutely nothing but is necessary to do damage, and removing spammable werewolf direct damage and placing it on a 15 second Off Balance cooldown means that the playstyle is not only more convoluted and conditional than before, but also more ineffective.

PTS testing has also demonstrated that werewolf DPS has gone down as well. It's essentially turned into strictly a role playing element, as no one will be handicapping themselves by using it in competitive PvE or PvP content. And people with disabilities will find the new hoops required to be jumped through to keep everything effectively maximized to be counterintuitive to simple one bar play. The new Update 42 werewolf leaves no room for error and requires precise rotations just to stay alive.

    @Erickson9610, yeah, I know.
I don’t even play a Werewolf but a friend of mine does so I’ve been advocating for him this whole cycle.

What they’ve done is move around the power budget rather than increase it, and that’s not what Werewolf needed.

I really believe ZOS does not understand the huge potential here. Vampires and werewolves are pretty much the only shapeshifting (from my understanding) abilities in the game, unless they add a druid class, but people argue that warden is "kind of like a druid."

I've always had this idea of when, eventually, the zone including Whiterun from TES:Skyrim becomes announced and released, ZOS could add a massive werewolf rework, visuals and combat, based around The Companions Guild, the group of warriors and mercenaries who were werewolves. If anything, call it a secret werewolf guild, where you can complete quests as a werewolf similar to dark brotherhood, "A Hunt Quest" sort of speak. A place where werewolves who have control of their gift come to commune, find work, etc.

Since scribing is coming, tie some of the werewolf abilities to The Companion's Guild. Complete X number of Hunt's and you get a grimoire that lets you.. I don't know, pounce and pin down an enemy to eat their heart out, kind of like an execute. Maybe jump onto a vertical surface and hang onto it for a few seconds before jumping down for an AOE slam.

Got a ton of ideas for it in my notes, could go on and on honestly

I love these ideas for Werewolf Grimoires. I've actually come up with a few, myself:
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/657732/ideas-for-werewolf-scribed-skills/

Also some ideas for Werewolf Skill Styles:
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/657694/please-give-us-skill-styles-for-werewolf-transformation/

I'd love to see some sort of Werewolf's Guild like The Companions the way House Ravenwatch could serve as some sort of Vampire's Guild. Would be a decent place to introduce some Grimoires and Skill Styles for the respective skill lines.
