Stop speedrunning in dungeons!

@tincanman Yeah but the speedrunners would die because of the increased difficulty

I was talking about pledges. Why would i ever queue up for a Random Veteran Dungeon? The transmute reward is exactly the same (the whole point of this thread).

lol, ok - thanks for that. :)

Let me rephrase, then: "Or re-queue, maybe, if the queue doesn't work immediately for a random pledge vet dungeon with your tank? - I have heard that the solo queue is glitchy and re-queuing sometimes fixes the issue of long wait times. "

But still no thanks on changing the current rewards: I like that they're the same.

I think I have written some pretty solid reasons for ZOS to create a difference in transmute rewards. You "liking" that it's exactly the same doesn't really add anything to the discussion...

They just need to add more variety in ways to access transmutes. Like doing the daily IA quest could reward some. Add them to the boss chests in small quantities like dragons adventurers packs. Personally I get more geodes than I need with lvl1 Cyrodiil geodes and just convert them into nirncrux.

These threads will keep proliferating for the life of the game as long as random normal dungeons have such a big reward. The community is not going to listen to the complaints of frustrated players who dislike the speed running. Their time is their time, and your enjoyment doesn't play a role in theirs. I'd change random normal to award 1 crystal and add a 1 crystal reward to many daily activities so there is a variety of things a PvE player can choose from. The bigger rewards should remain with PvP. If you are in need of great amounts of them, you're probably not a stranger to PvP gameplay either.

Well thank you very much for adding an ironic non-post that perfectly illustrates that non-point.

The vet queue is pretty decent as is with regards to role adherence/respect; shifting the transmute reward upwards would result in all the issues currently complained about with fakers, low dps etc etc ad nauseum regarding the normal queue.

As it is, any one queueing for veteran is doing so because they are choosing veteran content and usually are competent or willing to learn. I like this and, don't want it to change because I would dislike finding a higher probability, on the odd occasion I need to backfill a group, of some individual that queued for a 'carry for better rewards'.

Anyone soloing for such content is welcome to backfill occasional groups but if you don't want to wait in any queue then preform your groups. Pledges are trivial if you are a decent tank and in pretty much any guild that runs such content casually or even 'socially'.

Also, don't think the random reward should be changed for veteran dungeons as it would dilute the pool of decent players available to back-fill groups.

A more useful proposal would be to shift the transmute crystal reward on a dlc/main game dungeon basis and/or with undaunted pledges, if at all.

Yep, several pages later, still have same conclusion. If any changes should be made, this is it.

I don't think giving more rewards for vet dungeons is the right thing to do : why on earth would anyone choose to do it in normal when they could get more transmutes on vet ? Ok, maybe the 0.002% of people who actually want to take their time and don't care about rewards will still do normal runs. The problem is that a lot of inexperienced players will queue for a vet run expecting to get carried.

If you have ever tried vet trials with pugs, you know this is exactly what would happen : queue for a rvd>get a dlc dungeon>DDs are underlevelled and not prepared>DDs ignore the mechs and barely know how to deal damage>wipe for 1h
