Hi,
I was running Endless Archive today and encountered a bug when fighting Zhaj'hassa the Forgotten, specifically involving the pillar mechanic being desynchronized. Below is some general information about when the bug occurred, followed by a description:
Account name: @Polska_1999Date: 06 November, 2023
Time: 9:00 PM CST (approximately)
Megaserver: PC-NA
Character: Erannar
Class: Necromancer
Location: Endless Archive
Run type: Solo (no companion)
Stage: 2-4-3
Boss: Zhaj'hassa the Forgotten
Description:
I had all three threads when I entered the encounter (2-4-3, solo run) against Zhaj'hassa the Forgotten. During my three attempts at defeating the boss, the spawning/despawning of pillars did not line up with the actual explosion mechanic. This caused for explosions to occur when no pillars were up on the map, forcing a wipe with an unavoidable one-shot.
At first, it looked like the pillars despawned after cleansing on a pad or after DPSing down the shield mechanic, but I also had pillars despawn suddenly when neither condition was met. I was able to successfully complete the mech once across the three attempts at defeating the boss (during the second run); however, the pillars failed to appear or despawned early every other time, resulting in a wipe. I also once attempted to go to the location where one of the pillars had been in case it was a visual bug, but that did not work either. Ultimately, all threads were lost and the Endless Archive run came to an end due to this bug.
I also noticed that, when pillars spawned, they often spawned at the edges of the arena, where it would be difficult to hide behind. However, I did not encounter any issues related to this directly, as the pillars were despawned and not-there before their placement could become a problem.
I submitted a bug report about this in-game immediately after it happened and can provide the reference # if needed. (If there is a different template the bug report should be submitted through, please let me know.) Also, please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide to help with debugging.
Thanks!
