Wrong Gold Plunder skull

Is it just me or is it a bug. Earlier I did one of the mini Dolmens almost by reflex, you know the two waves of Dedra that can spawn anywhere. When I looted the corpses. I got a gold skull, The Public and Sweeper version. I thought nothing of it at the time, but when I went to kill a public dungeon, boss, all I got was a purple skull. I figured I'd already been flagged for that type. Later, I tried a couple of different activities, that should reward Incursion plunder skulls (dragons and Volcanic vents I think), and just got Purple skulls again. So I'm guessing, for some reason I got flagged for both types but rewarded for one.
I searched the forums and came up with nothing useful. So was this just a one off or a known bug involving the mini incursions.

are you sure you haven't already done an incursion, which, to my knowledge, are the dragons/harrowstorms/volcanic vents/dolments?
Because that does sound like a bug, I believe I got both of those skulls on the same day before and I don't do public dungeons, and I know at least once was because of the dark fissure, but I still got an incursion skull that day.0 -

Huh?! These are great, not something to be avoided. You just got the daily PD skull without having the endure the load screen into and out of a PD.
Just to be clear, these don't put you on cooldown for the big Incursions, so you are able to get the same number of gold skulls. There is absolutely zero downside whatsoever to getting them.

✭✭✭✭✭I'll test this later tonight after PC EU resets-- I'll look for a mini-incursion to do before I do anything else, which should reward me with 2 event tickets plus a Dremora plunder skull, then I'll do both a dolmen and a public dungeon to see whether I get a Dremora plunder skull from one of those as I should or just two purple plunder skulls.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I was able to test this on PC NA in Glenumbra.
Shutting down a mini-incursion before killing any other types of bosses awarded me the Dremora plunder skull for public and sweeper bosses, plus my 2 event tickets for the day.
Shutting down a dolmen after that did in fact award me the Dremora plunder skull for incursions, so the mini-incursion didn't erroneously count as both types as the OP feared.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!2 -

As far as I could tell from my own test, they count as Public/Sweeper but do NOT prevent the Incursions plunder skull from dropping from the various incursion events.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I went inside an Oblivion portal today, and the loading screen said: "Atoll of Immolation - Public Dungeon." But guess what? I didn't get a gold Public Dungeon Plunder Skull. I only got a purple Plunder Skull from the final boss. So I went to a real Public Dungeon (Labyrinthian) and got a proper gold drop.

Ya, I did the mini incursion, and got flagged for completing two different categories of Plunder skulls, but only rewarded for one. Its worth checking that this was a one off, and as I said yesterday, avoiding the mini incursions for now as a precaution.
