I love companions... if you didn't already know.

I want to see more obtainable sets in the future that affects them, hopefully in next year's update.

Mythic, Light Armor, Glove. Handshake of Dichotomous Diplomacy: Allows you to summon up to 3 active companions, but reduces your experience gains from all sources by 100%.
1. While equipped you can only summon companions that have all their personal quests completed.
2. Unequipping the Mythic item unsummons all active companions and reduces their Rapport by 100.
3. If you summon an Assistant, unsummons all active companions and reduces their Rapport by 100.
4. Create/Join a party or group unsummons all active companions and reduces their Rapport by 100.
5. Cannot be used to summon companions who have a negative opinion of you. (orange to red)

Helm and Shoulders, Monster Set:
(1 item) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
(1 item) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(2 items) While you have a living Companion, increases their Max Health by 10%, reduces their damage taken by 10%, and increases their healing done by 10%. While you do not have a living Companion, increases your Health recovery by 300, Stamina recovery by 250, and Magicka recovery by 250.

i think the mythic would be too penalizing, considering theres quite a lot that can unsummon companions

personally i would rather actual companion gear have set bonuses than the "generic" stuff they have now (along with basic functionality such as being able to mark it as junk)
    plays PC/NA
    handle @Necrotech_Master
    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I think it would be cool to summon multiple Companions. It would be interesting if they would comment on one another and have some dialogue together, but that's going to be difficult to do if more and more Companions are added each year.

I don't mind the reduction to experience gains, but I really don't like the effects that give 100 Negative Rapport. I don't think that any item set should react and interact with a Companion's Rapport. Plus, the penalty is far too extreme for simply unequipping the mythic, pulling out an assistant to sell or deconstruct items (i.e., so Sharp doesn't get mad at you for trashing them), or just queuing for a dungeon or Battleground.

It takes a long time to build up positive Rapport, so I wouldn't use this item solely because it would mean I'd have to do their daily big Positive Rapport quests every day. But, I'd consider using it otherwise, since I'd love to have a party of Companions in the builds I've put them in tackle challenges without my assistance.

This seems like a fairly useful Monster Set. I'm a bit concerned that the buffs for the Companions aren't enough to justify using the set, but at least the recoveries for when you don't have a living Companion would make for a nice recovery set.

PC/NA — Lone Werewolf, the Templar Khajiit Werewolf

Werewolf Should be Allowed to Sneak
Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

Throw in the Telvanni Efficiency craftable set to further boost companions and have fun adventuring! I would love to have a full party of companions for "soloing" dungeons and such.

The reduced exp is to prevent people from using it to level up 3 companions at the same time, it's meant for those who already have them established in their arsenal. The Rapport loss is probably overkill and this is a rough draft, the exp loss penalty may really be enough. For someone like me who is 2200+ CP extra exp is just padding at this point.

The monster set numbers are arbitrary, I wanted to show the direction I want it to go about making the companions survive a bit longer. Could boost the Max Health bonus to 30%, Reduced damage taken by 15%, and Healing done by 15%.

I had also thought of an Arena Weapon set, but couldn't think of a proper secondary effect to go along with it. It would have been something like:

    Weapon Set:
(2 items) While you have a living Companion, increases their damage done by 10%, increases their critical strike chance by 15%, and increases their penetration by 2600. While you do not have a living Companion, grants you a 9000 damage absorption shield for 6 seconds whenever you take damage. This can occur once every 6 seconds.

With the introduction of the Endless Archive, this would be the perfect place to add these items.

The Mythic leads would drop from random EA bosses, the head and shoulders from the "final" boss Tho'at and the weapons would be random chest rewards. The only stipulation would be that you have to run it with a companion to get any of the gear.
I would like to see your ideas for theses sets made real.

    Make it happen ZOS!
    Please.

Yeah going by the thread title I was for a second thinking op is speaking of actuall sets for companions, not just player equipped sets that happens to affect companions.

    Mildly disappointed now ;)

That being said I would love ZOS to touch on the companion gear - make it craftable/researchable, introduce actual sets for them, these sort of things.

I feel like some version of this is inevitable, but after they fix how pets, summons, and companions like to all stand in the same place.

A mythic to increase the number of companions has an in-built balance, in that you choose the extra-companion-mythic instead of another mythic, and if you take more companions into group content you loose real human players.

The only place this mythic could be OP is in overland, where everyone is already OP!

It would be tonnes of fun for those that like companions, and irrelevant to those who don't.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

I for one would like the games API to include the companions combat statistics as a beginning, which is not the case ATM AFAIK.

Tracking our companions performance in an add-on like Combat Metrics would be epically awesome to say the least.

Then perhaps it would be possible to compare Companions skills load-outs and gear traits and perhaps fine-tune our trusty friends to our specific needs?

I like creating out-of-meta alt builds for fun and tweaking my companions builds is part of that hobby.

Actually I was thinking since its companion specific that it would come from companion activities and loot bags. The first lead comes from Bastian and Mirri, second lead comes from Ember and Isobel, third lead from Azandar and Sharp-as-Night, and fourth lead from whoever we get next year. Doing their personal quests has a 8% chance to acquire their respective lead while repeatable favored daily quest has a 4% chance to acquire their lead. The 5th lead is a 2% chance to come out of any companion's special treasure containers be it Mirri's hidden bags or Ember's stolen wallet for example.
