What Future Classes Would You Like To See?

Just out of curiosity. They should, of course, be lore friendly.

For me?
1. A Battle-Alchemist; Someone who mixes potions and bombs and throws them at enemies for debuffs/damage and allies for healing/buffs.
2. A Bard; Using music and poems to attack foes and buff allies.
3. A Monk; using hand-to-hand, gauntlets, and staffs for combat. Maybe give him skills that apply Off Balance and Knockdown?

What is some of y'alls ideas?

Only one I have any interest in at this point is bard. I really dislike unarmed classes, and honestly have no interest at all in "battle alchemist".

Other than bard, I just don't need other classes. I wouldn't touch necro with a hundred foot pole, and arcanist is fun - but warden is my main love, and about the only thing I need for that is pet skins.

I’ve seen mention of a “Witchhunter” class in a similar thread, last year, and seems likely if we land another Expansion in Skyrim.

Also, the class name fits the current naming theme, and would allow for a more D&D styled “Hunter,” whereas Warden feels more like a “Ranger/Warden.”

Actually, warden feels to me like a druid - without the "quasi-religous" component. Which may be why it fits me.

Vampire Lord class. where we can transform into a vampire lord but it will act similar to the Vampire Lord in ES5 so it doesn't fly up into the sky. we also get some of the ability as the NPC vampire lord and we are also able to stay in that form for as long as we want. it will also be a unique class that is affected by the time of day.

artificer that has dwemer or clockwork combat pets would be nice.
but that and bard i would prefer to be a skill line so all my characters can use it.

i already see my main character as a bard and use the music emotes to express that.

a bard skill line could just be for support with one skill that does a channeled attack which could use the animation of an instrument emote.

those are entirely different creatures so no. how would that be a reskin?

it can be fabricant creatures too or a factotum.

dwemer scarabs could be used as well, there are more dwemer creatures than the ones you mentioned.

Most of those “different creatures” tend to act the same.

A dwemer spider nipping at someone and radiating shock damage when you activate it, a sphere shooting it’s target with it’s crossbow while increasing it’s damage when activated or glowing green and healing something, the only one that I would find difficulty in creating parity for would be the Centurion and the atronach’s lightning tether, because the centurion could spin it’s blades to emulate the lightning storms morph.

For liquid lightning you could throw a device that creates a spinning blade trap, Encase could throw traps that root… etc…

We have classes with annoying pets and annoying visuals but how about a class with annoying sound effects. Like a bard who sinks enemies in bog by singing and whose screeching ultimate "Red Diamond" incapacites and applies bleed to ears.

There’s an NPC class I’ve come across on the Telvanni Peninsula — Sword Dancer, I think it’s called. They have some cool looking sword moves and for variety, it would be nice to have some classes that weren’t so overtly magical.

I do wish that warden had been split into at least two classes: warden/ranger with more ways to use plant and animal summons and hopefully options on animal companions, with the other class cryomancer. Instead I feel warden tries to be all things without really succeeding at any of them.

Made an educated guess on Warden feeling like a cross between the two, as it fails to identify as either but has similarities.

100% agree we need a class with an actual skill line dedicated to frost damage.

A class with the themes of Clockwork City, Sotha Sil, Dwemer, etc. I suppose the class could be called "Artificer" or "Clockwork Mage", or perhaps even "Inventor", and it would be cool.

My second class idea would be a "Greybeard" or "Dragon Priest" - like class that uses Thu'um as class spells and abilities. In fact, i would like to have Thu'um as a skill line too. Either way works for me.

Aside from that, i really like the battle alchemist class idea, a class that could use the hazardous alchemy style.

I would prefer new skill lines over classes. I already have the two characters I want to play. New skill lines would give them a chance to enjoy new themes and abilities to aid in their development.

Some useful skills or abilities not entirely focused on combat would be welcome, albeit unlikely in this combat focused game. Unarmed spellcasting appeals to me.

I'd like a Dwemer-themed class of some kind be it an artificer/tinkerer, a tonal architect/bard, or a automata wrangler (or some combination of the three). I think there's a lot of potential there. Plus, we see plenty of NPCs in ESO exploring Dwemer ruins and studying or looting them. I think I could easily come up with several lore-friendly characters who have co-opted Dwemer techniques and gear.

As a side note, I agree that they threw the kitchen sink at the Warden and should have stuck to a more traditional nature theme, saving ice for a separate class. Really, I think many of the earlier classes could have been more cohesively themed instead of basically having a separate theme for each skill line.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I'd also be on board with a water-themed class.

I’d like a necromancer. Not the watered down, dollar store brand one with have now, but a real one centered around controlling the undead. With proper summons, (zombies, sword and shield skeleton warriors), with the ability to buff/enhance them, and have curses/dots/poisons to assist our minions in dealing damage.

Admittedly this is strikingly similar to pet sorcerers at the moment, but that’s the true class I really wanted.

Other than that a bard or a class centered around a Dwemer-theme would be nice.

Unarmed is the dumbest idea in games with heavy armor and big weapons.

I'd like a class similar to Rift's Dominator class. It basically debuffs enemies causing them to cause damage when they take actions. I'll copy-paste some of their abilities:

    - Debuffs the enemy for 20 seconds, causing any healing or beneficial abilities they attempt to use to have a 60% chance to interrupt casting and Silence them for 3 seconds. This can occur up to 5 times.

    - Projects the Mage's presence onto the target, protecting their allies within 10 meters of the target, causing hostile spells cast on affected allies to have a 60% chance to be reflected.

    - Causes the enemy, and up to 5 additional enemies within 10 meters, to suffer 70 Death damage and lose 20 Power or Energy, or Mana equal to 5% of the Mage's maximum Mana each time they use a damaging or healing ability. This can occur up to 5 times over the next 15 seconds.

    - Roots the enemy for 3 seconds and surrounds them with constrained storm energy for 10 seconds. If the enemy moves the storm explodes, dealing 163 Air damage to up to 8 enemies within 7 meters and reducing their movement speed by 50% for 5 seconds.

I loved the abilities that did AOE damage whenever the target used an ability or moved. They would run and you'd see damage numbers fly as they damaged their teammates around them. I feel like Cyrodiil desperately needs those kinds of skills to help counter the immortal ball groups running around.

I’d love to see Werewolves and Vampires be classes rather than just guild skill lines. OR simply have both but much more expansive for classes obviously.

Outside of that, I’d love to see:
    - Monk/unarmed class
    - Witch Hunter
    - A Hunter of sorts - warden is essentially a mix of Druid and Hunter from WoW but you cannot tame animals, which id absolutely LOVE
    - Dwarven mechanist

I saw months ago someone write up an almost whole class kit for a ''Barbarian.'' I wish I could remember their username.

I really liked what they came up with. IIRC it was a bruiser-y class with a lot of emphasis on bleeds. I can't remember if it was foundationally stamina-focused instead of magicka like the other classes are, but I think an class like that would be cool.

It's also a traditional TES class archetype like nightblade, sorcerer, necromancer, which I like.
