Wrong, this is an issue between the megaserver and some ISP's, Zenimax blame the ISP and the ISP blame Zenimax, funny thing is we don't get this horrendous lag while playing any other game except ESO, at least for me that's the case, so we can't really blame the ISP and a lot of people are playing lag free so we can't blame Zenimax, pretty much a lose-lose situation.Clotholachesisatropos666b14_ESO wrote: »This isn't a server issue, this is a problem on your end, I know you won't accept that fact but the faster you do, the faster you can remedy the problem. If you haven't already try opening your ports.
Here are the numbers to ZOS servers according to this thread http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/63197/fix-for-some-of-you-an-unknown-error-has-occurred-a-problem-for-many-college-students#latest%
ports: 24100 through 24500 as well as 24131 through 24507 for both TCP and UDP
Oh... for the record: if there is some "issue" between Zenimax and some other ISPs. Why didn't the problem manifest itself sooner?
I personally didn't have that issue before yesterday. When they (ZOS) had the morning downtime. Only after that did I start having this problem. And I was hoping they would "fix" some of my other issues, that don't seem nearly as bad now.
the only other observation that I'll make is that even if it is some issue with traffic being routed through certain ISPs. That is still Zenimax's problem. I can't do anything about it. And I don't see why I should be penalized for no reason, and through no fault of my own.
the bottom line is that if Zenimax wants me as a subscriber then they better figure out a way to resolve the situation. What I do know with absolute certainty is that I never had issues like this with other MMOs.
