Jee-Lar daily quest achievment after update 39 (PC)/ Feedback

I finally completed 150 Cyrodilic Collections daily quests a month ago (50 achievement points) and now you've reduced the number of quests by a factor of five (30 quests) and now it only gives 15 AP? This is disrespectful to those players who have come a long way to get this achievement earlier. I think such players deserve a compensation.

No. I got it earlier and I support this change. When the quest first launched, you could do all of them in one day. So you only needed 30 days of Jee Lar dailies on one character in order to receive the rewards. The Jee Lar quests are mostly simple and short, so timewise it wasn't crazy different to doing all of the town dailies for 30 days.

Then they changed it so that you couldn't do them all anymore, and the availability of their rewards and the reasonability of getting this achievement plummeted. People protested and wanted them to either revert the change or lower the number to 30, so it would actually be standardized again. Because that change actually broke the standardization.

Then AWA came and it made the quests a bit more reasonable to do again. Now they've finished the standardization and made this quest chain the same as other town dailies. Long overdue.

And yes, I already have the achievement.

did they also adjust the drop rate of Swamp Jelly fragments? if you aren't supposed to do 150, they better be much easier to get now.

I'm playing solo so it took five months in my case.
Also they haven't finished standardization yet. How about 100 daily quests from the Undaunted (each one)?

With Account Wide Achievements, the old Jee Lar 150 could be completed in 15 days with 10 toons. Of course that requires doing the prologue quests on ten toons, but feasibly any "do x things" is far easier now with AWA, I'm honestly shocked quest achievements didnt skyrocket. (all "30 Delve/WB" quests can be done in 2 days for people with eso+)

Happened to me too, I was 5 short of the amt needed.

So all in all today I was a total loser. 150 kill instead of 40. Lightning staff NERF to aoe. pvp chat, I cannot tell you how bad that was.

Having done both the Cyrodiilic Collections as well as the IC Sewer Scamps awhile back, I feel no need for any form of compensation. It's a game, I enjoyed the bit of grind, and now it's a nice option for those that didn't want to do the grind. Doesn't really affect me either way.

100 for undaunted is fine, though. Pledges is something you don't do for the achievements but for Undaunted Keys and you need basically an indefinite amount of them anyway.

Compensation... really? I wasted hours farming 200 scamps in IC (really over 300 since RNG in play) and now it's 20 needed.

This stuff happens, it's easier now and thats it. Hardly something to demand compensation for or get annoyed at tbh.

I just want to say that achievements are not something that really Zenimax needs to be changed in the game. There are so many old bugs, classes & builds imbalance, really bad PvP and poor server stability. And as a result, Zenimax nerfs this achievement instead of doing really important things.

I don't mind it beeing nerfed. Did those 150 quest, it was a challange. Got it, now let others have it too.
TBH this achievement felt kinda off from the start. All other dailies achivements require 30 quests.

    I didn’t even notice this changed, I was at 122 of 150!

Instead of feeling the progress I made was devalued, I’m just happy to not do any more. Now to unload my swamp jelly fragments.

i had gotten this done back in the day when you could do all of the quests each day without shares, and pre-AWA that was 25 days on 1 toon, so slightly faster than the other standard 30

i also had killed over 100 of each type of scamp before the change too

my thought on that is: meh, i already had the achievements anyway, but it will give others something more to work toward

i dont see why people feel they are "entitled" to compensation for a quality of life change or that the achievement was "devalued"

now you can have a story to tell, that you completed it back before the change when it was more of an accomplishment

i still look at my achievements and reminisce getting all of the vet dungeon hard modes back only a few months after the game launch (these would be all of the 2 dungeons now, excluding city of ash 2 since that dungeon didnt even exist 2-3 months after game launch)

I got the achievement by doing the 150 using one character (took a while) and I don't care that they've changed it to 30. I just wonder what took them so long. :)

I know that feeling. Jee-Lar stopped giving 6 quests a day when I was on 30. After that I spent fair 120 days to finish it. As many as for full speed+inventory for horse.
Anyway when I saw current changes in PTS patchnotes a few weeks ago, I was glad for people who don't have to spend so many days for it. Nobody have to struggle with grind too much even if we did.

Well, what compensation are we talking about if it could be possible? Money, exp of anything out of Jee-Lar quests theme are just offtopic things - really I can't imagine why I'm eligible for getting some money just because I did the achievement earlier. So do you want to get 10 more Jelly parts? Me neither :)

Also just a reminder that we didn't lose anything with that achievement update. We don't need to do anything after it. We have it already and that's all.
I remember arena updates, when all the weapons from vet arenas turned to normal ones. ZoS just made a sign to all the veteran players that day: "good puppies, now just farm it all again". Did anybody get any compensation? No, nobody.
So I doubt there is any chance here.

Just because it sucked for you doesn't mean it should suck for everyone else. I've done that achievement, and I've also farmed 100 + 100 scamps in Imperial sewers, which is now just 10 + 10. Sucked for me, but now it won't suck for someone else. Be happy for that instead of being jaundiced.

I'm not OP, so they are free to correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the original statement OP was making was to have compensation for the missing Achievement Points you get from completing an achievement?

They are saying in their post that it used to be 50 achievement points and is now 15 achievement points. I think that might be what they are upset about. (That's my interpretation of their post).

I don't really see any reason why ZOS can't change it back to 50 achievement points. It's not like the points themselves are a type of currency; they are mostly just a symbol of how much you did in the game. It wouldn't affect anything to increase it back.

Yeah, so now you need to run vMA again to recollect the perfected ones, while running vet prior to that update would have given you the non-perfected versions.

So not only do you lose your previous 'progression', you now have to do it all over again for some slightly better versions.

I think it still does that? didn't they make a change to trials and such a while ago where obtaining a perfected piece of equipment now also unlocks the regular one? I think it was alongside the change that you can already starting wearing perfected pieces while you still have non-perfected pieces equipped but without disrupting the set bonuses in the process.

It is a good point. Thank you. I missed it.
I support the idea to save the value of the achievement. Not that I care about this number much, but I know people who do. Saving its numeric value will be fair for all the people who achieved it including me.

    not sure tho

What currently drops from nMA used to be the Maelstrom weapons. When they made the change to add perfected and non-perfected versions, rather than change all existing Maelstrom weapons into perfected versions (the people who had them already had to run vMA for them), they forced everyone to run the harder content all over again if they didn't want to be stuck with the version that drops from the easier content.

People ran vMA dozens or sometimes hundreds of times trying to get specific weapons (stickerbook and curated drops didn't exist) and were rightfully pissed at the implementation.
