You CANNOT get all of the new gold style pages without spending tickets / buying on traders *edited

@ZOS_Kevin Can you please pass this on to the event team that this kind of restriction on event drops decreases my engagement time spent in ESO. If I were able to get multiple drops a day, even if it were rare, I would be inclined to play many hours each day. As it is now, I log in, get my drop, and I'm off to greener pastures in other games as the incentive has been removed.

Well that sucks. I don't get why they made the armor motif and the weapon motifs have separate drop sources like they did with Midyear Mayhem. That's the ideal solution. I could go into cyro and do dailies there to get my weapon drop and then head into the sewers to farm for a armor motif drop. Any doubles that I got I could trade. It was perfect.

Seems like quite the oversight not to do that again.

It wasn't an oversight. This is not the first event they have made it impossible to get all the motifs naturally. It's been a growing trend most likely to drive crown ticket sales. It not only gives me less incentive to play during an event, which should be the best reason to play more, but it also sours my view on the company as it comes off as very greedy.

Honestly this is the attitude to have. Same thing happened to me, I used to care a ton about collecting them all, but after ZOS started to make it impossible to collect all, I stopped caring... and I am so much happier.

There are two new styles. Kwama miner and ashen Militia. You got both of those?

Generally speaking when they put a cool down on drops it is not all new drops but instead all of the same page. So, once you get the Kwama miner, you wouldn't be able to get another Kwama miner. But, you would be able to get Ashen Militia or Highrock Spellsword. It would be unusual for Kwama miner's CD to apply to Ashen Militia.

This is how the zone daily coffers work.

More than likely the good drops are on a 20 hour cool down but each CD is separate, just like the zone coffers.

It is possible. I got all (I think) Sancre Tor pages by only opening boxes til I get a page. The don't open again til tomorrow. Got the last couple I needed during the days after the MyM event. Still getting the pages from the unopened boxes I had hoarded.

I've experienced only getting High Rock Spellsword after getting one of the two styles as well, but I don't know if that's simply because of bad RNG or if they share a cool down. I've seen some people state they got a page of each in a day after extensive farming, but I haven't experienced it myself. I would expect the others who got 1 of each to be accurate because I've experienced that with daily coffers, but who knows.

This whole stupid [snip] with new Event-Styles/new Event-Fragment-Items only droping *once per day, per account* ZOS introduced last year needs to be removed again ... OR ... if it will be kept, we need to get a GUARANTEED drop from the *Golden* Event-Boxes once per day, during Events which do offer them .

Also in addition to that the drop-counters (once per day counter) needs to separated for *Armor* and *Weapon* Style-Pages, as it was during the last Mayhem-Event and if Fragments do drop in addition to Styles, they also need their own counter!!!

Yeah, I stopped caring about this a few events ago.

I'm incompletely a completionist; I care about completing certain things but not about completing all things. And as far as the things I do care about, I'm in no rush to complete them because I intend to keep playing this game until they shut it down.

With regard to the outfit style pages, I started out not caring about them at all, since I don't use outfits. But I try to collect the ones I can, in case I decide to start using outfits. And if it's possible for me to collect all of the event-related outfit style pages then I'm happy to get them. But if I can't get the full set during an event, I figure they'll probably come back eventually, so I'll get the ones I'm missing then.

I'm just not going to get stressed out about stuff like this, because I'd rather be having fun. So I'm not going to grind for event coffers unless the activity involved is something I enjoy doing anyway, and I'm not going to spend huge amounts of gold at guild traders on stuff I don't absolutely need, since I don't grind for gold and don't have the incredible amounts of gold that a lot of players apparently do.

I have 6 or 7 duplicate style pages. How is that possible? I'm confused. I haven't bought any with gold or tickets.

It's not just about people avoiding interaction or trading.
Having a large number of event style pages dropping, with a very low cap on how many drop per day per player, and a relatively low drop rate, means that there aren't going to be that many excess pages out there. Prices are more likely to stay high. People who would want to collect them will not be able or willing to do so due to the higher cost and difficulty of farming. So far in 3 days of about 10 boxes a day, I have 2 Ashen Militia pages, and 0 Kwama miner. I definitely won't get close to 16 at that rate, and I won't have a lot of leftover pages at the end of the event to sell to others like I might have in the past.

Style pages being rare isnt bad for everyone, it's great for people who would be getting a lot of boxes anyways and don't want the event style pages and will sell them. But it's not great for the people who want to collect.

Are the ones you have duplicates of "High Rock Spellsword" pages? Those first dropped last year and seem to be dropping pretty easily this year.

You can continue to open boxes after the event ends...but yes it's a pain in the ass and sometimes it takes 10 boxes to get the stupid motif.

They never confirm this stuff but I can tell you that farming boxes and opening hundreds, I have not gotten more than 1 in a day.

Was that one each of Kwama Miner and Ashen militia, or one amongst both of those style sets?

Okay. I think I might have figured out the varying reports.

I just recently got 2 pages in one play session, about 6 hours apart. However, one of them was after the server reset. Prior to that I was getting High Rock Spellsword. They were the same style, Ashem Militia.

Perhaps it was a bug or extreme RNG. But, how I now suspect it works is you get 1 per day of either style. And the CD resets with the servers. I can't be sure but it would explain why I cannot seem to get anything but High Rock Spellsword after I get my first impression page while others report getting multiple. I've opened a lot of boxes at this point.

Meanwhile old pages has no cap and will continue to drop. After daily reset your next page will be your once per day new style page.

YES YOU CAN!

Here is a tip:

Gather some boxes before the event ends. Open those boxes AFTER the event. The CD is still one day, but you can open the boxes when the event is long gone and still get the rewards.

Every day, after the event, open couple of boxes until you get the style page. Usually it drops from the first three boxes you open that day. When you get the style page, stop opening boxes till the next day comes. Repeat this until your boxes end. You will get more pages for sure.
I do that for every event. Still had some pelinal boxes yesterday.

I still don't understand how killing WBs with a guildie group isn't 'spamming' boxes but doing master writs last year was out of line with team expectations. 🙄

Exactly my thoughts. I'm raking in 4 boxes approximately every 5 minutes by farming a world boss loop. Farming bosses costs me zero mats and I can casually do it while listening to music or with a movie on in the background. Grinding out a couple of hundred master writs is time consuming, tedious, costs gobs of mats, and you generally have to pay attention unless you want to make a plethora of mistakes in the process.
