Do you feel empty, when events end?

I tend to avoid them. Even the lore-related holiday events seem to be heavily focused on doing something in return for ‘stuff’ and feel overly contrived to me. I’m becoming bored by all the ‘stuff’.

Sometimes when the events I look forward to are over it leaves me a little bit sad. The same feeling I get at the end of other cycles like summer, fall and the winter holiday season. I know they'll come back around, and there's always a "next" thing but I still don't like the end.

no. I took a 5 months break from ESO last december after all the heavy U35 changes. Played Fallout 76 instead.
As that game has less content, I returned to ESO. Now I play both, ESO for events, F76 for the equivalent Seasons.

The content I played before in ESO, thousands of daily worldbosses to farm rare furnishing mats, has become too tedious. I even had to solo them often on xbox NA now as people left or spread out, it sucks out the fun for me if you have to solo group content on nerfed characters as nobody is there to help.

"Spent" would be a better word to describe my feeling, especially after this Whitestrake’s Mayhem Event.

Without the fear of missing out on gear and tickets, I can return to advancing my crafting, scrying, adventuring and housing at my own leisure.

Even though I try not to burn myself out with events I normally just feel relieved that it's one less thing I have to make time for each day and I can go back to doing what interests me.

Although the last few events I've skipped entirely because I didn't want any of the ticket rewards.

Well, I did do some PvP which happened to be during one of the events, but that's because I wanted to do it anyway, I'd actually forgotten the event was still going.

I like events which actually offer unique things to do, when it's just additional rewards for the same stuff we can do all year round it's much less interesting to me. I did them regularly for a couple of years because I wanted all the indriks (well, I wanted some of the indriks then convinced myself I may as well complete the set), now I'm back to only doing them occasionally if there's something I want.

For the first time ever, i actually feel bit empty, now that the PvP event is over. I had my vacation during the event and we had awesome fights, lot of AP and lot of ranks and titles!

PvP is what makes me coming back to this game and my ultimate end game. But now that Cyrodiil is probably going to be empty again, i kinda feel sad. I really hope ZOS will add something (Patch 39 had some nice additions) to make people interested in pvp.

Be it pvp or pve event, how do you feel when events end?

Gonna miss the lowpop and score bonuses with the scroll. At least there are those monster masks coming to Cyrodiil in update 39. Let's hope that will bring some action.

When the PvP event ends it's always a sigh of relief. Doing it's never fun but the way the game's set up I kinda have to do it if I want to keep up with the seasonal rewards. Knowing I don't have to see Cyrodiil or worse Imperial City for another half-year at least is no small relief for someone who wishes PvP wasn't even a thing in this game.

When PvE events end, especially double exp ones I do feel a little empty though. But I also know if they just did them back to back with no breaks I would burn out really hard. Two whitestrake mayhems so close together has already put me off playing for a while. Need to recoup.

I wouldn't say empty, more grateful that I can go back to the normal routine. There are some events like Midyears Mayhem and New Life that you spend a lot of time on because the rewards are that good. Being in a trade guild there are 4 or 5 events that one can make really good gold on. I'm also in a PvP focused guild and while the extra AP during MM is great, it does mess up guild PvP nights with the que times.

While events are fun, it's nice to have downtime from them also.

I'm a bit disappointed when I haven't been paying attention to when it ends and I do a quest and turn it in and don't get a special reward, like I did yesterday.

Nah, I feel relieved that the event has ended. It means I can go back to leveling my character, farming gear, tweaking builds, and working on storyline. Events are a nice change of pace, but they're a distraction from what playing what I would ordinarily want to play.

    Depends on the event.

2017 Witches Festival IIRC was one of the best events I've ever taken part in. Gotta say it's lost a lot of it's allure since then but I was gutted when it ended. I remember camping plunder skulls and desperately trying to get the masks and recipes. They were SUPER rare drops and it was really fun playing with a horde of other people.

I don't think ZOS add enough to recurring events to keep them fresh and interesting for players that have been around for a long time.

PvP events aren't my thing so I log onto my nightblade, run quest objectives while hidden, get my tickets and leave. Takes about 10 minutes.

My favourite one recently (I can't remember the name) was the one that involved simply running any daily activity. But I was happy when that ended as I was going through about 7 zone dailies a day, writs on top etc.

Double exp events and double node drop events I'm always sad to see go, even if I don't actively participate in the event, as these perks are great to have for the duration.

I think some of them are super fun but I also think they run for just the right amount of time.

Most events were interesting the first and maybe the second time, but let's be honest: Except for a single new quest every few years, it's always the same. I'm only doing the minimum for event tickets now (and only if it's not too much of a hassle).

Only with Midyear Mayhem because it's a lot of fun, the atmosphere is livelier, the fights are epic, and even when it's mostly the usual players on that would play anyway, there is more spirit and rallying and it's really nice. For other events however, I feel relieved when they are over because I don't like to grind for all the collectibles available each time.

In my opinion events always last too long. They are heavy, leaving you no time to do many other things in the game. Of course, one might not participate, but this is not the spirit with which I approach the game. So I always participate, but when they finish... I'm happy to be able to dedicate myself to housing, fishing, questing... and so on...

I appreciate the feeling of having no pressure to do things but as someone who hasn't yet bought Necrom and no longer bothers with any daily quests or writs, most days I wonder why I log in at all.

Having said that, apart from double AP, I've done them all before and usually only do enough to get my daily tickets. I don't really chase the double XP because I'm 1900 CP and all of my characters are maxed out.

Nope... I generally don't take part in events.
Of course, I enjoy when I get double XPs, more resources and/or chests as reward that is a side effect for all during certain events (even if we don't participate), and I regret when it stops, but that's all of it for me.
