Do you feel empty, when events end?

For the first time ever, i actually feel bit empty, now that the PvP event is over. I had my vacation during the event and we had awesome fights, lot of AP and lot of ranks and titles!

PvP is what makes me coming back to this game and my ultimate end game. But now that Cyrodiil is probably going to be empty again, i kinda feel sad. I really hope ZOS will add something (Patch 39 had some nice additions) to make people interested in pvp.

Be it pvp or pve event, how do you feel when events end?

I feel the end of event blues when the double nodes end.

The Whitestrakes gave me an easy ride to Assault 10 and free skillpoints from AR increases, was a great time to grind out Warhorn and Barrier 😁

I will miss the faster Battleground pops now for sure.

I primarily pvp in this game, and while I appreciate getting tickets and bonus loot for my normal gameplay, I’m always relieved when the event ends.

I’m glad to have the queues back to normal. I’m glad to have the forums stop being filled with people who take pride in hating pvp and wanting the experience diminished for those who do enjoy it. I’m happy to be rid of the toxic element in zone chat from people who are openly resentful about having to participate in pvp to get their rewards, bringing negativity to those of us who would be there without the event.

I’ll miss the higher IC population, but I’m never sad to see the Mayhem event go.

As for other events, I feel like they go on exactly long enough for my interest in them to fade, and I often stop participating in them before the event ends. Endlessly repetitive pve tasks don’t hold my interest long, so I don’t feel any emptiness when they end. I fully support that they are a source of joy for many people, and so I’m glad there are so many events.

To that end, rejoice, because there is always another event right around the corner!

Absolutely feel this... I often log in after an event and stand around for a while and realize there's nothing much to do and log out to play something else.

Doesn't help that a lot of people these days seem to only log in for events, and the game can get very quiet in-between them.

In the last years there has been a lot of events, sometimes only 2 weeks apart from each other.
What once was kind of special now it's pretty common.

So, no I don't feel empty at all.

Not really. I usually feel relieved when events end. Although it was less bad this time I feel pressure to get those tickets and try to get those style pages drops everyday. I missed out on the last day because the server had real bad case of lag spikes and I was rubber banding all over the place. It's almost a mini burn out. I did get everything I wanted tho. I spend all my tickets on bags of veteran's glory and I'm almost complete now. It was a good event. Good while it lasted but I'm also glad that it's over now.

No, I'm usually happy when an event is over (it sometimes feels like real stress), but I'm melancholic when I've played a chapter to the end - then the great emptiness follows and this time it will be particularly long, since nothing new will come for an entire year...

I'm always happy when events end... as that allows me to play the game without feeling I'm missing out on anything(AP/exp/gold/etc), or am obligated to jump through the get-event-tickets hoops.

Especially glad we have these PvP events done, hope they never do a PvP event ever again! (Sorry to all the PvPers, I just really dislike PvP)

Edit: Surprised to see how many players are actually glad when events are over.

I enjoyed the double AP during the event, but like others I'm looking forward to the Cyrodiil queue going back to normal. I got just enough tickets to buy all the Bags of Veterans Glory I needed to get style pages I missed from previous mayhems, and finish with 11/12 tickets, plus got enough AP to get Warlord rank. Now I just need 6 more years of events to get Grand Overlord

(Not specific to this event or the last one - I don't pvp.)

I miss the double xp when it's one of those events. I miss the style pages from Jubilee boxes. Otherwise, nope - I'm usually really happy to "non-event" when they're over.

No, I don't do many events as there are too many of them and only a few appeal to me and have rewards that I consider worthwhile/of interest. I rarely bother to use the double experience, the base levelling pace is fine for me.

I feel a sense of relief that I can go back to doing what I usually do in the game-- namely, a few "must-do" daily activities and then whatever I feel like doing that day, which is often influenced by what the daily and weekly endeavors happen to be.

When an event is on, it usually adds extra "must-do" daily activities to my regular "must-dos," so it leaves less time for stuff I like to do just because I enjoy it.

For me, the PvP events are usually worse than the PvE events in that respect, because daily "must-do" event activities are the type that can go on and on for hours, such as grinding AP and event coffers in Cyrodiil, or grinding TV and style pages in the Imperial City. I do really enjoy both of those things, but I don't particularly enjoy feeling like I've got to do them day after day for nearly two weeks straight.

No specific feelings about the end of events, as I don't participate much in them anyways. Most of them are simply too overcrowded for my taste and my interest in farming outfits and mementos I don't intend to use is rather limited.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

I wish they did more unique events, honestly. It's the one thing I miss from Maplestory; coin capping each day to buy stuff in an event shop. It's usually a bunch of stuff that's usually in the event shop; 2x or 1.5 exp coupons, gear progression stuff (cubes, scrolls, unique stuff to that game), but it would have other stuff too, like cosmetics coupons (hair styles usually), chairs (kinda like over the top emotes, but as a chair?), mounts, and sometimes even surprise style boxes (usually exclusive to the cash shop, kinda like Crown Crates).

I'd love, more than anything else when it comes to events, for them to be more like that. An event coin store (not event tickets) with exp coupons, mounts, Crown Crates from crates that aren't even available at the time, stuff like that. You get coins by killing monsters, doing bosses, or doing quests, and you can only get a certain number of coins each day, with no cap on the coins you can get.

I felt guilty playing the game when it was Whitestrake because I didn't feel like doing PVP. I did PVE a bit, and eventually succumbed to the PVP magnetic pull. I feel relieved it's over so I can play PVE without feeling like I'm missing out on something lots of other people enjoy.

I played more in the first Whitestrake.

I didn't need anything from the ticket sellers.

Mayhem is the most enjoyable time to PVP for me because the percentage of people who are gankers, bombers, ball-group members, or debased enough to actually us Dark Convergence goes way down. I enjoy myself during Mayhem and resolve to PVP more often, but then after the event, the dominance of playstyles I find repugnant goes way up, and I eventually lose interest.

But I guess I haven't learned my lesson, cause I plan on going back in tonight.

    shoot is it over already?

i have 19 toons now (across both platform servers), and i like to get them to tier 3 each campaign, not really for the transmute geodes, my inventories are clogged with them - i just like to play a lot of different types of builds...

with the pelinal's buff it makes getting AP really easy...that allows me more time to focus more on toons that i like playing more...

that definitely changes every few patches...

it funny, whenever it's the wardens or dragonknights turn to go out there and play - it's like my skill has magically improved :p

It depends of course on the event, but this one does sometimes, yes. This one feels the same after some of the main Khajiit quest lines, such as the one in Elsweyr with Khamira, once that wrapped up this one felt empty.

I miss the extra loot\rewards and double XP for the events that have it.

But mostly I feel relief? Many of the ones I like also get pretty exhausting and repetitive after the second day.
So when they do end I can come back down from grinding speed and just chill :)

I was too busy to notice much about the event. I just went to Cyrodiil daily to do 1 daily quest and get the event tickets, then spent them on the previous rewards box (forget what its name is), except for the last 6 days, where I just kept the tickets. I had no particular purchase in mind, so I just decided to leave the event with 12/12 tickets, in case something nice appears at the next event.

The reason I was too busy is that I created 7 crafting alts recently, and I've been very busy leveling them up in the crafts, so it's been a daily routine of writs, decons, hunt for more skyshards, spend skill points on craft skills, and repeat.

It’s usually kinda of a relief because you don’t have to get tickets anymore, but I do miss the double AP.

However, PS NA Gray Host Mayhem this time did not have many players or a queue a lot of the time. Too many players gone for good I guess. I didn’t get nearly as much AP as previous years.
