    Even if you lose half your telvar you still have half your telvar. Why would anyone want to have that half removed as well? Player kills will still happen, heck I have so much telvar banked up I that the only reason I go into IC anymore is for fights.

    Yeah... I wasn't really that surprised you know but... I suppose its one of those things where seeing makes a believer kind of.

    Its just leaving the server was the code word on the street back in the day right... we did it as absolutely necessary not the first move made on the board. Abusing things like that gets them patched like from back in the day when the way shrines actually worked in Cyrodiil and I could go home real quick.

    During the previous Mayhem I was in IC doing the district dailies for event coffers. In one district I got killed by 2 or 3 enemy players who got only a small bit of TV from me because I'd only just started working on the objectives. I rezzed and returned to complete the daily, turned it in, and banked all of my TV afterward as usual. In the next district I got killed again by 1 of the same enemy players as before. I had just arrived so I think he got 0 TV from me.

    Then he whispered me, "If you're just doing the quests and aren't here farming TV then I'll leave you alone."

    I laughed and whispered back, "I'm just here for the event ticket and event coffers right now, but it's a PvP zone so it's okay, I know I'm a target. Don't worry about it."

    I rarely farm TV in the IC districts, anyway, because it's too easy to encounter enemy players and get killed. If I want to farm TV then I'll do a run through my faction's section of the sewers and farm the mobs and mini bosses. That's especially true during Mayhem, since the mini bosses can drop outfit style pages. With the doubled TV drops during Mayhem, I can easily farm anywhere from 5000 to 9000 TV in each run through the sewers before I get too paranoid and queue for Cyrodiil and back so I can bank what I've accumulated.

    Sorry if this has been mentioned already, as I skimmed the thread, but isn't this essentially already in the game? Bank your telvar, then no one can loot it cuz it's in the bank :)

    When depositing currency, there's a button for a drop-down to select the currency type

    Each time you're asking for a no PvP mode in a PvP zone just keep in mind that you're asking for a space in a heavily limited player count zones for someone who isn't even having any intention to play the zone's objective. Obviously you can't care less about those pvpers it seems but it's not going to happen at the very least for this reason.

    I am asking to be able to CHOOSE to not being the victim of gang robbery in IC. Why can't you see that this is a problematic player behavior incited by this telvar mechanism? I even don't ask it to be removed. I asked for a way out off this as an OPTION that comes at a cost for the player who selects that option. It does NOT take up a slot, it does NOT mean not to be killed. It does NOT mean that players who chose not to have telvars don't work for any objective (which there isn't any other than killing other players or questing btw).

    How is it problematic player behaviour? It is a PVP zone, you ARE going to encounter PVP...

    People don't kill other players in IC for Tel Var, espcially weaker ones. If they're weaker than you enough that you can kill them easily, they probably assume you have very little Tel Var.

    If someone's ganking you at a boss, yes they might be looking for a few thousand Tel Var. But that's still less than they would get by just soloing bosses.

    So you "paying" them Tel Var, luckily, isn't incentivizing them to kill you. Just deposit often and you'll be giving them a trifle anyway.

    How is having 0 Tel Var on my person when I get killed in Imperial City "deny[ing] other players their just rewards"? If I've just banked all of my Tel Var back at the base, then jumped down into a district to do a quest-- or, for that matter, to farm the mobs and bosses for Tel Var-- are you saying that I've done something horribly bad because I'm somehow obliged to carry all of my Tel Var around with me so other players who kill me can reap "their just rewards"? Uh, no.

    Edit: Also, if running around IC without TV on ones character were somehow deemed to be "wrong" because it goes against what "is very much the point" of that zone, then I would argue that ZOS needs to remove the ability to put ones TV in ones bank, because that is the only way to ensure that players can't run around with 0 TV on them and thereby "deny other players their just rewards."

    It's a pvp zone, I don't go there expecting mercy, and I plan accordingly.

    But my point is more, rather than whine about how annoying it is that pve people don't want to be relentlessly farmed when they are outclassed and leave, you could help prevent that from happening!

    As a pvper AND a pver, I think poorly of people who repeatedly farm questers. Has a "pick on someone your own size" feel to it. Kill them once, then go find someone closer to your own skill level to fight.

    Sounds more like a petty attempt at revenge to me, as in 'you might have killed me, but I stopped you getting any telvar, nah, nah, nah'.

    I'd really be surprised if most people who hunt you down really care about the telvar, or that you'd have that much on you anyway. Either way, you're still going to be killed.

    The players targeting others that are obviously there for the quests are for the most part not part of the regular PvP crowd. They are PvE'rs taking advantage of the event to try and get some kills they can't get any other time of the year. They want the kills and that is why they sit at drop down points. They know the players are just zoning in, probably won't have any stones on them and can be easily jumped.
    The PvP crowd can be found around the flags or out in the open fighting other groups of PvP'rs. They aren't looking for you and good chance if they see you they leave you alone.

    It cracks me up when a ganker or two tries to jump me when I have a PvP build on. They fail to knock me down much then run away and hide. If I am on a PvE build I usually just stand there and die. I like to think my not fighting back takes a little of the thrill away from them. Probably not though as they are just happy they can kill anybody.

    Last event there was a ganker jumping people in the sewers as they dropped down at the base. I watched him a couple of times then whispered that he was doing it wrong. He should be jumping players coming back because they will have stones. He whispered back, good point. He died shortly after that. If you hang out by the door eventually someone is going to post it in zone chat and a player or two that has the skills will come thump them.

    I like the big fights that happen in Imperial City during these events. I try to stay away from solo people. They do get caught up in the fights sometimes though. Not much can be done about that. Either way losing telvar when you get jumped is part of what makes the area fun. That shouldn't be taken away.

    I agree. They are probably farming kill achievements they can't get against PvPers, so they target their fellow PvEers during the event. For anyone who enjoys PvP it's neither fun nor rewarding to kill a practically helpless enemy. I do PvP only ocassional and don't attack them for example, and they are easy to identify by their movement. The only exception are players using a lightning staff, they are "kill on sight" for me.

    Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

    You would look at someone crazy if they went into a veteran trial solo and activated HM without a build. Pvp is the same way. People need to stop going into pvp areas without pvp builds and expecting good results.

    Closest thing to PvP builds from PvE, are solo arena builds. In fact they are so close, I often use my pvp builds for weekly leaderboards. PvP is all about burst, sustain, self healing, and movement speed. Some of my pvp builds pull 100k+ dps. My entire Arcanist pvp vs pve build differs by 1 or 2 skills and swapping out well-fitted / crit reist gear or divines.

    Get rid of it. Halve the telvar farmed and multiply the what you can buy by 10 and put a cap on how much you can carry. Let people farm it without being the cattle to supply the few.

    Imperial City is unique to the game as it is the only zone that has some risk involved with dying. It is what makes Imperial City fun. Only bad thing about Imperial City is that it is almost dead outside of events. ZoS should find a way to entice players to visit year round.
    When Imperial City and the sewers were still seeing a player population it was fun to grab 10k telvar stones, drop down in the sewers as far from home base as possible then try and bop your way home with all your stones. That shouldn't be taken away even as an opt out option.

If I want to farm TV then I'll do a run through my faction's section of the sewers and farm the mobs and mini bosses. That's especially true during Mayhem, since the mini bosses can drop outfit style pages. With the doubled TV drops during Mayhem, I can easily farm anywhere from 5000 to 9000 TV in each run through the sewers before I get too paranoid and queue for Cyrodiil and back so I can bank what I've accumulated.

    Hi im new to pvp can I ask how to get a quest in your alliance district ?

    Go to the room with all the ladders, go up each one and get the daily quest from the NPC with an arrow over their head. Go back down using the trap door, and repeat until you get all six quests in your log. Also, talk to the General in your sewer base and then to the Drake of Blades to get the zone quest. Once you have all seven quests, go up one ladder (Arena district is the easiest daily because it can be completed from the (relative) safety of your platform base) and drop down into the city itself. It is then possible (but unlikely if you don't PvP well) to do all the quests at once before returning to your sewer base to turn them in.

    To get back to base, use one of the round sewer entrances near the back wall in each district. But an easier way is to queue for a Cyrodiil campaign, port out, and then port back directly to your sewer base using the Alliance war menu ("L" key for PC.)

    I know some people really like to criticize IC, but I enjoy IC a lot, although generally not for PvP since I mostly stink at PvP.

    I like to run through the district dailies as a quick way to use up all of my Enlightenment and earn a bit of TV from the reward coffers (this is outside of the events, so each coffer contains only 200 TV). Once you've done each daily several times, you start to develop strategies and best routes for getting each quest done quickly, even when there are enemy players about.

    And doing a run through the sewers can be a great way to farm TV, since it seems like you're generally less likely to encounter enemy players than up in the districts. That's partly due to the larger size of the sewers, but also the maze-like layout. It's easy to get lost if you're new to the sewers, but after a while you can learn your way around if you spend a little time and effort at exploring how it's all laid out.

    As with so much else in life and in the game, persistence pays off, so you just have to give it a try and stick with it.

    It can happen that a player carries no Tel Var, but that isn't the point. The OP wants to not collect Tel Var with the express purpose of denying their opponents from getting any reward for killing them. An activity that is not just legitimate, but actually (part of ) the design of the zone. It is baked into the game that you gain Tel Var by killing things, including players. With this proposal they gain nothing for themselves except the satisfaction of thwarting other players. How is that not spiteful?
    Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

    I don't like the idea in the OP. But I think IC would be better if more people actually played it. And that requires addressing some of the most cited pain points imo.

    Improve the ability to move around the zone (too many loading screens upon death means ability to stay fighting is annoying) and perhaps tweak the telvar loss percentage. It could also use some more pvp objectives that draw crowds and keeps them there.

    No, the OP just doesn't want them to get any TV, and the OP wouldn't be getting any, either. The players would still get other rewards as usual-- I guess that would be XP and AP? So "any reward" is clearly a blatant exaggeration, since it's only the one specific reward out of several that's being "denied."

    I did read it and I know what they said and how they said it. And if you read my earlier comments, you'll see that I don't think the OP's idea is a good one-- not because I think it would be "spiteful," but because it would be pointless.

    As far as the OP's motivation, whether or not it's out of spite isn't what I have an issue with, it's that your comments about it seem to be harsh edit:broad enough to include anyone who's just banked all of their Tel Var, or who has already bedn killed so many times that they no longer have any Tel Var to lose. It just seems to me that you're making more out of it than it warrants.

    And anyway, the OP's request would never make it into the game, so it seems kind of pointless to argue over it.
