Trumpet Solo is the most annoying emote ever

I haven't tried it yet, and I didn't even know there was one from Tales of Tribute. I'll have to try both of them-- in the privacy of my player housing-- before expressing an opinion about either.

I'll probably spend the next week on my healer, maybe group up with some to go around town spamming regen to pull them out of the emote.

I was standing in Vivec talking to a friend. She wanted opinions on cosmetics. While she was cycling through things people came up and started blowing trumpets in our ears. It was actually very amusing. I appreciate a little chaos.

Yes, but there's a cooldown before they can be interrupted again, not sure how long. I noticed when I get pulled out the first time, when I do an emote again, I go uninterrupted for some time if I'm hit with regen multiple times after.

Awesome picture! Seems like people are having a lot of fun using it

I personally have little to no use for this emote, it's just not my preferred style.

But there are enough people around which seem to really like this one. Well done, zos!

And I learned there is a trumpet earned by Tot. It's time to finally start playing cards, I guess...

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

I had avoided hearing it for some reason so I when I was lonely waiting a WB to spawn, I tried /trumpetsolo myself. It's just bad. Not even funny. (I was also surprised how many emotes I have my collection. Maybe I should check that more than once in 5 years.)

Why? I can't see a single flappysorc on the picture

Not really any reason to ask for it to be removed, imo. (Not that I believe you, personally, asked for it to be - unless I missed a post somewhere!)

It is easy to move to a different area, if it causes too much of an issue for someone. Muting the sound also will work.

I admit I do not really understand the point of this thread, other than to gripe over something others clearly enjoy (or, unfortunately, may use for less innocent purposes). And, apparently call people who do enjoy it "childish" or some such (noticed that while on mobile, before things got properly moderated). Which... I will say, is honestly more unfriendly than most people I've seen using the trumpet emote because they find joy or amusement in it.

This is a video game - isn't the point to have fun? Not everyone's definition of 'fun' will match up, but given there are tools to deal with coming across things you find unpleasant, it just seems meanspirited to call others childish or preschoolers just because they manage to find joy in silly little things even as adults.

I must say I like the trumpet a lot. Once I play it, it don´t take long and some other players do the same.

    It grows on you....

Should definitely have more trumpets not less. Everyone enjoys different things . As , a multi player people have can just avoid area or mute without taking away others fun.

Using a skill to interrupt an emote isn't so different from throwing a mudball for the same purpose. Unlike mudballs, the trumpet isn't targeted, so it's hard to tell if it's being used to troll except in extreme cases. Of course it's uncivilized to play the emote close to someone just to annoy them, but I doubt the majority of players who use the trumpet do so with disruption in mind.

On the morning I got the emote I played it near Leyawiin's wayshrine. Soon, two more people joined. It was very funny. I do wish it played an actual song, though.

Not at all bothered by it. Lots of people were doing it recently in apocrypha, but I think that was just owing to some giddiness on release day & general appreciation for the zone and new content (which is awesome & i absolutely love btw!).

I don’t begrudge people their silly moments & I’m a grumpy *** at the best of times.

I like the emote, I use it sparingly. Like just before a server maintenance or when my team captures a scroll. I still have to come across a trumpet concert with multiple people though!
