I like the emote but I fully understand that those players that use it in crowded places to afk can be a bit of a nerve grind.
If you happen to find your undaunted enclave to be full or wannabe armstrongs, just use the incarnate illusion stone while standing right in front of them. With your back to them, btw. It will shove them a few inches forward and interrupt the emote.

...I like to use the same technique to push afk ore farmers back to reality.

I haven't used it yet, myself, and don't think I've heard anyone else using it. Must be a time-and-place thing. /shrug I probably just jinxed myself and will now be inundated with it everywhere I go.

The trumpet has kind of been our go to thing running trials when a player disconnects and we are waiting for them to get back. I'm sure we will move on to something else soon. If you get everybody lined up and the timing just right the animation is fun.

the esraj emote actually plays songs. the trumpet is one little short tune on repeat

It'd be nice to have emotes+mementos put on their own volume slider so I can mute them without losing my combat sound effects. It'd solve so much annoyance with going into crowds.

Come on, after beating a world boss, there's nothing more silly and fun than literally blowing your own trumpet.

At the end of the day, the game itself is silly and fun - good grief, we're imaginary people running around a fantasy landscape - so this fits perfectly. Maybe it's people still in denial that they're in a shared, MMO environment and taking it all a bit too seriously, who can't handle it? Who knows? The phrase, "don't sweat the small stuff" comes readily to mind here.

He's easily embarrassed by public displays. It's a problem we are working though.

i'm all in on the trumpet - it's replaced 'pop the cork' on my emote wheel...if you are not a part of my alliance, and you are hanging around dead on the ground - you are going to get the trumpet...

There's a dude that what feels like two whole days has been at the shrine in southern high rock on Xbox NA just playing it. Every time I hand in a kill quest he's there.

It's pretty annoying to be fair.

I don't see why regular players can't be allowed some fun, silly things like the Trumpet emote just because others are using it to troll.

Personally, I don't use it since it isn't really fitting for any of my characters, and I mostly play solo, so not a lot of opportunity to use it to goof off with friends. However, I think it's hilarious - both the random, bad blaring of the trumpet, and the awkward wiggly hips. It's very funny, and I'm glad it exists.

It's really easy to mute sounds if someone is around with it, or otherwise move away.
