Maintenance for the week of March 10:
• [COMPLETE] PC/Mac: NA and EU megaservers for patch maintenance – March 10, 4:00AM EDT (8:00 UTC) - 10:00AM EDT (14:00 UTC)
Nah.
You can stand right next to a Herald Seeker and they will ignore you, as long as you don't go hostile on them.
They, and any innocent bystanders in the vicinity, are not the problem in the scenario you describe.
Level 2 arcanist. Doing a public dungeon with my wife. My wife pulls a train of enemies on top of me. I don't have any AOE attacks yet so I die. Easy as that.
Slipped from the edge from a hill with my mount. It's like ice skating sometimes. They are so unprecise, especially at faster speeds.
Are you playing on a Mac, by any chance? I've experienced this on the PC as well to an extent, but it's much less pronounced. On my MacBook Air it's extremely pronounced, especially when sprinting or riding at higher speeds.
I was quite surprised I died at a dolmen in Malabal Tor. Logged on to a level 34 stamina Dragonknight I hadn't used for a week or so - had no heals slotted. And no potions ready.
Did some dragon grind with a <50 char (with CP and crafted gear, not totally useless). Typical was DOT at beginning before the fellow with purge got there. Also some failed dodges (ping 100ish but few sec server lag at times). Got aggro, chomp + bleed from seemingly impossibly far away.
Did a random vet into Scrivener’s Hall. We had a fake healer, so we died on the first boss. A lot. Made a comment about how I was doing most of the healing (~60% with just the AoE arcanist heal), and I was immediately booted from the group after we cleared the dungeon cuz the fake healer had crown. Still got the chest loot from the vault, jerk fake healer.
TLDR: Last time I died was due to a fake healer in a vet dungeon
Sorcerer's pretty much been the same for years. Nerf Rush of Agony and Saints&Seducer's
I once again lost against the slaughterfish armada, but one day I'll find a path between them
Never get between a cat and it's candy!

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.
Desync, desync, desync, desync, desync, bar swap bug, bar swap bug, bar swap bug, desync, etc...
The amount of times desync and skills not registering is the highest its ever been with this game. Ive spent a full 2 minute fight trying to drop my ultimate while dodging and running around the terrain and it never going off in a 1v3.
Underestimated the Vaermina fight, killed her on the second attempt.
Me, too. I think that is crazy hard for a below level 50 toon. The timing of the prompts also needs adjusting!
I have a whole thread on it, talking about how I started a new character with the chapter - I think loads of people would have been excited to start an Arcanist? - and I blew through the content pretty easily... until that fight. Just utter madness to let someone progress the story to that point, then your whole momentum falls in a heap because of that one boss fight. Dumb.
