Now that I've tried a bit of cyrodiil PvP, you REALLY need to boost the Runeblades spammable to 28m or more. 22m isn't enough for pvp.

PC Players! It's been a week since Necrom launched! Still shocked by how fast time flies. What has everyone been up to so far? Have you been playing through the main quest? Grouping up for some Sanity's Edge runs? Running around Cyrodiil as an Arcanist? Upping your fashion game?

Just trying to get a gauge on where everyone is to relay to teams.

I created a new character so I could try Arcanist, and played through the main quest flawlessly until I got to, 'An Unhealthy Fate'. The boss fight at the end of that just seems so out of place, given the content that comes before it. A complete showstopper for me, literally, which has cruelled the enjoyment of following the main storyline. Some people on this forum reckon it went buggy during testing; others say they struggle with fully tooled up endgame characters, so my new character has no chance. I'm inclined to believe them. I've slunk off to do other quests and run dolmens to level up, but it seems such a shame that the storyline goes from 'completely doable' to 'completely impossible' in the space of one quest. Crazy.

Man, I love Telvanni Penninsula/Apocrypha, the Arcanist class and skills.
Created a stamina based one right on the very first day, I like how playing the class feels, the visual cues and how it sounds.
Jumped to Cyrodiil as soon as he was level 10 and was glad to see there were more.
Now only to get him back to my favourite, but alliance locked campaign, an important toggle I overlooked at creation...

Collected both companions, finished the main storyline, did worldbosses and went with a friend and our fledgling Arcanists/companions in Bastion Nymic for the first run. Nice to have a challenge and discuss tactics before encounters, though the last boss was our Nemesis, I enjoyed it very much.

I finished all of the main quests, and I believe all of the side quests yesterday. Just have to still do the daily delve and world boss quests, and find all of the colored books, grave markers, and antiquities. Not, touching the Bastion Nymic stuff unless something changes to make me consider trying it again, but it's a mess right now that I don't care for. I also need to go back and level up the two new companions, because I did the intro quests to unlock them, but ran through the whole chapter with Izzy and Ember because I was still trying to max level them. I've still got about 25% left to go with Ember before she's maxed and I can start working on the new guys.

I've finished the Necrom main quests, dungeons, skyshards, etc. Finished the game main quests, and now working on the final few levels to get my new Arcanist to champ level. I really love the new areas and especially the new fungal furnishings!

I've not started Necrom area or main quest yet, since i only came back playing ESO since i left in 2015.

So far im' just tracking back all the way back to finish up previous expansion zones before i go to Necrom, i know that in ESO it doesn't matter which zone you do in order, but i just like to do it that way.

I hope by the time i reach Necrom like in few months time, it will still be populated and still easy to get a group for the wb

I started Necrom like I always start new zone. Explore the whole area, un-lock all the wayshrines and get the new craft tables for our Guild Hall and start main quest line. Then explore the dungeons and side quests associated with them, alternating between Main Quest, searching everywhere for high end sell items and side quests.

It was fun at first. Pros: Great art and atmosphere. Great story lines and dialog from random NPC's was really good.
Cons: Digging antiquities and being kicked out of UI due to tentacles randomly spawning under my dig site.
Just trying to travel the roads, and being aggroed by 1.7mill seekers everywhere! (Yes I can solo them but SO much time wasted!).
WB's are much harder than other DLC's, but the amount of ppl in zone to help seems way low for as new as this is.
The "Nymic" quest is just horrible. Why make this a daily and to do it 30 times?? No Thank you.
Gold Leads drop like candy from EVERYWHERE! Spend a whole day, RL, doing them because of random aggros kicking you out of UI.
Redundant dialogs with quest givers that make my character have the IQ of a turnip.
Leveling up companions takes SO long that I have unlocked them but not sure when I will actually use them as Im still leveling my last ones.
Starting a new alt as Arcanist? Maybe, but ZoS ruined doing alts with AwA. Yes still ***hurt over that.
Arcanist overly bright abilities make it SO hard to see any action when doing bosses and SO hard on the eyes.

Glad lots of folks LOVE new DLC. I was really excited for it, cuz after almost 13k hrs in game since launch was wanting to be excited again, but find a lot of it more frustrating than enjoyable.
(Note: due to health reasons and RL issues, I don't get to play as much, and I love ESO and all TES games, have played them all. I WANT to enjoy myself in Tamriel, I want to be a good GM as I love our guild, but I found more down side to Necrom than plus.)

Just my opinion. I do thank the ZoS staff and writers for all the hard work they do and ESO IS the best MMO out there and a truly epic game!! Thank You and a 1,000 huzzahs to you at ZoS!

Also, a late minute shout out to @ZOS_Kevin for being a so awesome a addition to forums and Gina and Jess for all they do!
    Huzzah!

Falling madly in love with Sharp-as-Night. Whoever wrote his quests, set his personality, and picked his VA deserves ALL OF THE RAISES. Seriously, his questline strikes me as very personal, and by the end, it felt very much like I was really helping a best friend/adoptive family/lover work through a traumatic past. By contrast, I still feel rather distant from Azandar even after doing his questline, because he's...not really standoffish, but just not the sort to open up to another person the way Sharp gradually does. Azandar stayed his arrogant, enthusiastic, so-smart-he's-a-little-stupid self the whole way through. Not that he's bad (especially given how he kicks butt in job lots in combat), just that I didn't connect with him as much as with Sharp.

Also, falling in love with the visual design all over again. Ever since Elsweyr, the zones have looked better and better--more detail, more variation, more everything. High Isle and Galen were GORGEOUS. While I loathe mushrooms on a personal level and feel like I can SMELL a damp-basement stink through the screen in the main zone, the city of Necrom itself is jaw-droppingly beautiful. (Pity about the place being infested by Telvanni, but that's what the Blade of Woe is for.) Apocrypha is a little too...greenish for me (it makes my eyes ache a little, which is probably right in line with its nature as the abode of Tamriel's very own Lovecraftian abomination), but the ambience of the place is amazing.

Aside from some issues with dialogue options that make the player character sound like all of the head trauma has knocked their IQ down to room temperature, the writing is actually pretty interesting. There are a couple of quests that made me have to stop and think, like the quest for the Fathoms Drift delve. Overall, I'm really enjoying it!

Hermaeus Mora is well written. He's so upset about not knowing everything!
The detail work on the landscape, vegetation, and buildings is high quality, as it was in High Isle. The dialog and quests are interesting, unlike High Isle, which was a crashing bore. Many more of the containers are searchable than was the case in High Isle, thank goodness.
Some of the new armor sets are good innovations, such as Telvanni Efficiency, which boosts your companion. It wouldn't be amiss to see a few other sets like that in the future.
The Telvanni Peninsula is OK. I am in a definite minority in strongly disliking TES III Morrowind, but I must admit that both the ESO Morrowind DLC and this one make the ridiculous place seem almost interesting. The Telvanni furniture is too over the top, but then they're a bunch of jerks in any case. I comfort myself with the fact that the future will see them wiped out by the Argonians.
Both the new companions are fine; Sharp-As-Night is better. I still prefer Ember, but that's just me.
Apocrypha is dismal, but then it's supposed to be. I didn't have too much trouble with the higher end Seekers once I learned not to attack them without being in a group. They were annoying, but not unreasonably aggressive. Many of the overland enemies in Apocrypha were surprisingly easy to put down, not that I'm complaining....
Some of the new Necrom furniture is a treasure. The Necrom lamps are going to be seen in a lot of places far from their native home. But why is it so damn difficult to get Glass Eye of Mora style material? Only by deconning armor picked up in ONE dungeon? Give me a break. ZOS hasn't even put the Scribes of Mora style on sale in the Crown Store yet. This is a major block to making some of the new furniture and a damned nuisance. In fact, the entire style material system as it works with furniture is stupidity on stilts. Why can't we use mimic stones with furniture the way we do with armor? ZOS should consider throwing the style material system onto the junk heap; it is quickly going from the ridiculous to the absurd. What are we going to have next? Orc boogers? Goblin toenail clippings? It's an unnecessary, ridiculous, immersion-breaking pain in the rear and a major obstacle to people furnishing their properties.
One or two of the achievements demands use of the Antiquities system now. This is a mistake. Secondary systems should be kept strictly away from anything on the main line. Antiquities is a promising concept in abstract, but it was developed with extreme clumsiness -- interface and mechanics resemble a cheap Chinese cell phone game. I won't touch it. It is INSTANT de-immersion.
About Tales of Tribute, the less said the better. It was a diversion that was probably one of the major reasons for the boring mess High Isle became. If I wanted a card game, I'd play a card game. Its sole virtue is how avoidable it is. You shouldn't have bothered with it, but you Gwent there anyway and now I guess you're stuck with it. Don't compete with the Witcher. You should be above that.
I've had only one major crash, where all my keys went dead during a boss battle. It was probably something random, since I have not been able to reproduce it. I haven't had any problem with smaller bugs.
All in all, Necrom has been a pleasant surprise so far (I'm about half way through). When I saw you were going back to Morrowind, frankly I groaned... dog returning to its vomit and all that. But the One Who Knows makes up for a lot and both characters and story are much superior to the deadly dull beauty of High Isle. I hope the improvement continues, but don't get sidetracked by toys like Antiquities and ToT. The story's the thing. The rest is fluff.

Feeling miserable because my playtime has been seriously reduced thanks to migraines and nausea caused by Arcanist effects implementation. And then increasingly angry because we aren't hearing anything about it, even a recognition of how serious it is. It's not feedback, it's a game-breaker and a health issue for a lot of the ZoS player base. Just being honest.
Just wanted to note here, we have passed on multiple examples of how the Arcanist VFX are impacting some players to the dev team. We have also noted this in several threads on the forum. The team is working to address this and when we have more info to share, we’ll post an update. We also have it tagged on the dev tracker.

@ZOS_Kevin I appreciate you looking out for the small amount of people who have issues with the visual effects, but can we get a client side toggle and adjustable settings so we can speed the crux back up to where it was at Arcanist launch on our end and make them as bright as they were on PTS? I really liked the initial vision for Arcanist and am not particularly happy that my Arcanist is being visually neutered to please a small segment of the player base. A client side toggle for speed and brightness would please everyone in this respect.

On a related note we Templar mains are still very unhappy with the spear model and animation changes last year but have received zero response from the devs on that issue despite some people in various threads claiming over the past year that that the new animation gave them motion sickness. Can we get a response on that VFX topic as well?

Keep up the good work Kevin, we appreciate you interaction here on the forums.

To be honest I really enjoyed Necrom's story line; it was interesting allying with a Daedric Prince. The new companions are really awesome with nice personalities and the zones are both well crafted. The new trial is fun, I cleared it on veteran the first nigh and am now progging the final boss' hard mode. I think there's a lack of impactful new sets in the trial but it's nice not having to gold out a new armor set.

How are you supposed to survive Unmitigated Outburst in Runemaster WB fight?

Is that the big burst, his flame-shaper AOE, or the big pulsing crystals in the back?

There's three main mechanics in that fight. One, at about 70/60 and 40/30% health, he spawns those three crystals that pulse and hit faster and faster. Take out the little ones to kill the big one.

Second, he will put his hand/a book in the air, and throw projectiles. You need to bash/interrupt him.

Third, and I think this is the one you are talking about, is whenever he teleports, he has a timed yellow/greenish circle next to him that pops, sometimes two. You need one person (only one, two or more is too many) to stand in it and block when the circle pops.

That mechanic was introduced in the Scrivener's Hall dungeon as one of the first boss's mechanic, so anyone who hasn't been in there might not know about it.

The key thing about it is to watch when he teleports, as that is when it'll pop up, and always right next to him.

Having any/all three of these mechs happen at the same time can be a bit overwhelming.

Hope this clarifies the issue you are having.

Honestly the reward system still feels lacking. It doesnt help they nerfed the mythics and the new trial gear are all niche options. Obviously once everyone figures out their builds for arcanists on their specific roles, there's not much of a goal for this chapter. (Get deadly strike, coral riptide, Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet....now what? Farm for niche sets on the new content? lol) As an end game player, playing the new pve zones doesn't really excite me as much as before since it does get repetitive. I dont know, add a battle pass system for cosmetics and make the last reward a limited radiant apex mount? I've seen these type of reward systems in Dota 2, Call of Duty, Dead by Daylight and etc which works for me. Maybe new ways to PVP? The only updates for PVP is just making the servers more responsive which is a good thing but it doesn't solve the problem of anything new. And of course make selectable overland difficulty with perfected overland sets or something. Having end game gear to use for the same vet dungeons/trials gets boring, wouldnt mind using our expensive sets against other hard content. Or maybe jump on the bandwagon and make hardcore servers for ESO? That would change how we play overland to be honest and have special rewards for getting to a certain CP level without dying or something. Literally to make a game less stale is obviously to turn away from the usual "formula" ESO always uses.

TLDR: We need better rewards or have like a battle pass cosmetic reward system, most new sets are all underwhelming except for the mythic necklace which makes farming for new sets not necessary, need new PVP systems, introduce all together new systems to play the game like hardcore mode.

I'm enjoying Necrom very much. I've been leveling up the two companions, questing and doing a lot of fishing. I did complete enough quests to buy the new house with in-game cash so that was nice.
