The only thing that keeps this game feeling apart from the other games is the combat. This game other wise feels like Daggerfall for the modern age it has all the things Daggerfall aspired too save for the combat (which in consider bad in this game ).

So no i think they did a lot to make this game feel like an elder scrolls game. So it’s not beside the point it is the point.

ESO was never intended to be just like previous Elder Scrolls game. ESO is an MMO first, and the combat IS what makes the game great. ESO is just Elder Scrolls THEMED. It was never intended to be just like the other 5 Elder Scrolls games. If you want original Elder Scrolls gaming, you have 5 other titles you can play.

I don't think you and I remember the same version of the game. Or did you forget the handful of players that ground out to cp 3600 and were effectively unkillable in pvp as a result?

Or the cp caps they had to implement as a result of that, which in hindsight made what would have been decent content near impossible to most players?

One Tamriel, or even Tamriel unlimited were not perfect systems.

    What did Pre-One Tamriel have.

    - Veteran Ranks instead of Champion Points making it take an extremely long time to level a character

Are you really sure you would want to play that again?

Vet ranks were better IMO, though today they'd be a lot easier to level anyway.

Just getting to 50, cp 160 is too easy.
Even Vet 1 took more work back in the day.

I for one preferred the level based zones too, lower level zones were useful for getting lower level mats at least.
Now every zone is just the same, boringly easy slog.

174 characters and counting over 13 accounts.

120 writ certified. 73 at CP rank.

I think what is really needed is the original dev team and leads back who still had enthusiasm for what they were doing.
In defense of the current team it is hard to keep the enthusiasm up on an older game that was someone else's creation.

they considered 1 veteran rank level was 10cp .
so the maximum was veteran 16, it has been transformed into 160cp level. That's why we have all sets cp160 as a max.

But the leveling was by character, as it is for lvl1-50.

I remember when I had to go to craglorn to grind xp to levelup to rank vet 14 then v16, good old times

I think that most of the players that would prefer pre one tamriel eso already left the game for mmos that are more similar to it. One tamriel deeply changed eso and a lot of changes made since transformed the game in a direction opposite to what pre one tamriel was and the player base changed with it. Let’s also not forget that one tamriel had to be done to fix a lot of stuff that people didn’t like about eso.
