I hate tails, they're so intrusive when playing in 3rd person view. It's the only reason I don't have Argonian and Khajiit characters.

Given how they've made cat-like hats in the past, a body costume with a tail wouldn't be amiss, but I think it should be a very obvious costume, otherwise it would seem out of place in the game.

One of this game's strengths was the relative "realism" of armor, costumes and mounts. Some might be silly like a bath towel but none of it is the ridiculous anime style you see in other MMORPGs like wings, huge weapons, massive shoulders etc.

I like playing distinctly non-human characters in games when I have the option, but I don't see the appeal of tacking on extra features like ears and tails to an otherwise human (or elven) character, especially in a game which already has actual other races as an option.

Well, I'd definitely be anhedonic about seeing fake tails on other characters in the game.... As far as "conservative" - eh, I'm playing an RPG in an unreal world, so I can't be that conservative - though I suppose I'm somewhat conservative about suggestions that don't fit the world itself.

Not sure why there’s so many “it’d break lore” arguments. People can wear fake tails all they want. Either by costume or by illusion. It’d break lore if the tails were real, except in the case of Ohmes-Raht but I understand there’s like… MAYBE 10 people with an Ohmes-Raht haha.

Other than that sort of thing, though, I fail to see how fake tails would fit with adventuring and other sorts of violent endeavors. To.... a belt.... to avoid this issue it'd probably have to be something included in a chestplate. That would be cute in my opinion, especially if its something that screams "I'm a hunter".

I feel like the "fair" arguments have been getting more and more out there since AwA.

Part of the reason I have multiple characters is so I can enjoy all the looks of the different races. They don't all need to have all the cosmetic options. When I want to have a tail, I play a race with a tail.

Next people will be saying it's not fair that people can't enjoy Argonian passives on an Orc (and other similar comparisons) and suggesting that we should be able to fully look like one race while playing another, to be "fair." And then passives will be meaningless.

Slippery slope, not necessary, and why I feel ZOS needs to make an official statement about still being supportive of the multiple character playstyle.

I was observing argonian tails and noticed they have no butts, because tail is too large. It seems unfair for only 1 race to be buttless.

Tail is the only good thing about argonians in this game. Don't give it to other races. They have tails others have racial passives.
