I think that what is sometimes seen in zone chat is other people's suffering, all spilling over and mixing together into a toxic mess.

That's about all we can do.I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
3) Difficulty slider.
4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.1 -
drschplatt✭✭✭✭Haha, this thread cracks me up. ESO has one of the worst in-game communities I've seen. You wouldn't know it wasn't f2p with all the 12 year olds who seem to spend time in zone chat.

Sendarya✭✭✭I agree this is a problem, and not all of us can just turn off zone chat. I enjoy selling my provisioner goods, and since Guild AH functionality is pretty poor, I find best results selling (NOT spamming) in zone chat. I also watch for people selling things I might be interested in. I try and filter out the crazy stuff, but it can be hard.

Rotherhans✭✭✭Odd, maybe it´s an EU - NA thing, but I never notice anything untoward at all in (EU)zone chat.
And with X4D´s nifty chat filter addon the goldspam is usually invisible too.
What does begin to annoy me though is the Trade spam from actual players.
