U37 Bloodmist

The animation of the U37 bloodmist is horrendous, After the dash, you will have a blood pool while you are in beneath the ground for x amount of seconds that sucks dry the enemies around you. I understand that you are trying to create another useful tool for vampires, and this can be used for tanking.

How about if after the dash animation, all enemies that hit by bloodmist will have a debuff for x seconds and you steal life from them? and removing the annoying blood pool effect. It just doesn't seem right..

    Maybe you like cheap stuff then with little amount of effort made? Its just vampire NPCs effects are far more better than playable characters. Not only for the vampires, but everything in general.. IMO, we are paying for the content it is logical to just share opinions and thoughts or else what's the sense of the forums.. We just wanted to see ESO to its right direction to be more competitive in other MMOs.

    I'll just put it here and quote what is the feedback of XomRhok:

    "Animation of casting Mist form need to be changed, in my opinion. It must be instant witout any scream and movement from the character, because now it looks more like a jump forward with scream, not a elusive movement.
    Elusive mist skill seems ok at the moment in terms how it looks and feel.
    Blood mist, in the other hand, looks and feel bad, in my opinion. Animation of ground effect is bad, it's just a red puddle, looks very cheap and not atmospheric, with mist on top of that puddle it looks acceptable, but without mist, just under the character model it looks bad. DOT last for long 20 seconds, it take away this cool feeling of constant transforming in and out of Mist form. Better make it similar to bat swarm streak that NPC vampires have with cool animation and instant AoE damage, or if you want to keep DOT damage make it last for 4-10 seconds, just to keep reasons to use this skill more often.

    I don't think you specifically being upset with an animation and sound effect is indicative of the game going in a worse direction. But ok. It's fine that you don't like it.

    I think the new Blood Mist is great well implemented and am looking forward to using my vampire character once again. They really did a fantastic job with this rework big thanks….

    We have been asking for more blood magic effects that arent flashy for a while, we get them, and now people are against those? :/

    I am very excited for the new Blood Mist. It's going to be super useful on my StamPlar.. it fits her offensive style perfectly, while also giving her some extra mobility + offensive healing. I think they nailed it with this change.

    LoL same here. It's a great fit for what I'm doing now.

    Odd how vampire over the years has synergized with what you'd think would be the anti-vamp class. But we have the spear model now. Might as well go with it.

    take a look at this, NPC effects are far more better than playable character effects. If they can do it on an NPC vampire from greymoor, why all player vampire skills looks so lame and like bare minimum work.

    Yep that animation looks way better. The current animation does make sense for the live version of blood mist, but for the PTS version it just looks and feels SUPER cheap.

    It would make more sense that blood mist is changed into bat swarm.

    Same effect/damage as of right now just make it that you teleport like in that video and then have the pre-greymoor aoe of bats rather than a meh mist, they literally have the assets of the animation to do so. I'm totally okay with it not doing an AOE path attack like streak, have the same damage effect just a different visual effect.

    The other mist form actually works well as you can use 'mist' to escape (which fits the evasion theme)

    The animation should have been a bloody swarm of bats similar to the video, the current one feels clunky and honestly placeholder. I highly doubt they'll ever change it though, be happy they even tweaked this, I mean, look at the animation for our spammable lol

    I agree, I like the rework of how the ability functions, but the actual appearance of the skill just looks bad. I'm not asking for something flashy, just something that doesn't look goofy and flat.

    As others have mentioned, the vampire NPCs in the game already have a perfect version for how this skill should look. But maybe Zos wants all the player Vampire skills to look bad? That might explain the blindingly bright green/orange vampire Drain skill.

    I agree.. animation affects the gameplay, and how you play the game.

    All chars have spammable, and that is the way how ZoS created ESO.. and, the only problem i see in eviscerate animation is when you have weapon equipped it looks bad that the weapon swings along with the claw mark it looks so bad..

    Maybe adjust like casting spells using left hand, that would be better..

    Someone finally gets it, it looks silly and clunky, they really need to do something with the spammable.

    I mean if you want to be an npc with no ultis, sure. But again, we have bats with the ulti, I really dont want the same thing for everything.

    Ah yes, reminds me of Oblivion and Morrowind of the sunlight damage during the day. My Oblivion vampire became a very good healer due to that, but also if I didn't wanna deal with it they made sure to drink blood as being stage 1 in Oblivion turned off the sunlight damage.

    Also at least on the PTS mist should NOT say that it's instant. It takes one second for the animation to be completed so it should have that it's a 1s ability, not instant.

    It's more of a channeled ability. You could then argue that jabs are instant because they start doing damage the moment you press it. It takes one second for it to complete, ergo it is a 1s channeled ability

    Agreed, the ground effect does not look good at all. It's blurry & unpolished. If you have it active and mount it just hovers in the air around you! Either some kind of debuff, bats or something less obnoxious would look so much better. Please consider this Zos as it just makes the ability so irritating to use.

    Someone wasn't a Vampire Lord in Skyrim, they had an ability that was exactly that also NPC Vampires get surrounded in Bats.
