They have the item. I suspect you need the 3 parts in your inventory to see it, if you don't. But I got the Firepot spider assembled last event.

    Oh!
Thanks for that info. I already have the spider, myself, but my girlfriend missed the recipe during the event, and we have stacks of all of the parts in our guild bank, so I've checked the vendor occasionally, and haven't seen it.
I'll try it again while having the parts in my character inventory.
(edit: Oy, that might not work for me, either, since I already have the pet assembled...)

    Thank you!

It's not really about coding but more of how exactly models were made and if they still have the old files to do the work. Coding side you'd just marker them and set to new "hide", but that would require those parts to be actually separate.

We had (and still have?) both hide tassets and loincloth as a hidden settings that sadly did nothing for a time, but probably it shows they're working on something or at least considered it as a feature lately.

I would not put any examples here to how you can do such stuff so it won't get patches out but you already can get rid of couple "glued" pieces that is making me think that most of it is already separated for different reasons like movement and compatibility but need a proper system built around.

I won't presume to know how the tassets and other "floaties" (knee and elbow caps, for example) are bound in the mesh system, but I suspect it's easier to create an "Invisible" costume piece than a menu option. Largely because I have a few pieces of "Mystery Gear" that are Level 0 and have no defined motif, and those are invisible when worn. Kinda wish I'd found a Restoration Staff with that bug back when those items were dropping...

Now we just need hide flaps and belt.

@NotaDaedraWorshipper I don’t know what chest style you’re going with, but for belt I’ve used Xivkyn on my Star-Gazer (read: Imperial motif) outfit and it clips under the chest piece making it effectively invisible.

Can’t help with the hip flaps.

Sadly it and other belt styles like orc and malacath doesn't work on all styles.

ZOS can remove them just fine for npcs, though. Also before so were the "wings" of some styles part of the shoulders but got later changed to be part of the chest piece.

People have also found in the files there is a hidden "Hide Tassets" setting.

This is very good news! I'm curious about how it will be obtained and how it'll work once you've got it, I hope it's not something you have to buy each time or whatever. But however it works I'm interested, because I have several characters where none of the shoulders look good, the best I can do is settle for ones which aren't absurdly over-sized.
It was most exciting news from whole stream, but it's weird that Gina talked about some item - it will be more complicated than it has to be only for some event reward?

From my understanding we will need some item sold by the impressario assistant wich is avaiable year long and sell his stuff for gold. I will apear on the test server with the jester festival.
Not sure if its some kind of consumable or not tough

Personnaly it seem to be a weird way to go about it but at least some of my character wont have to deal with aweful shoulder anymore!

Why not just add it to settings like hide helmet.
      Seems strange.

I wonder if it's a similar situation to the invisible boots in Guild Wars 2. Apparently one of the developers really wanted the option to hide shoes, (the game already has check boxes to hide your helmet, shoulders, gloves and backpack) but for whatever reason the people who decide on those types of options (not sure of the job title) wouldn't allow it.

One of the people who make new items agreed it should be an option, so they made invisible boots as a work-around and because a new item goes through a different approval process to a new setting that got approved and added to the game. They're a stupidly rare drop and therefore expensive to buy from other players, but it's there.

I absolutely think it's a similar situation for ESO. It's obvious that the developers at one point wanted to have the ability to hide any slot as they created icons for them, but for some reason they didn't go through with it.

While it's possible they became concerned with people abusing the Outfit system to have all their characters in their underwear 24/7, ZOS is also bound by restrictions as to what they can do, and it's possible that they were specifically not allowed to easily provide the option to hide slots other than head.

The ability to hide shoulders through an item could be as far as they've been allowed to go so far. In my opinion, it doesn't really bode well for other slots if they are doing hidden shoulders in this way. If they are only doing hidden shoulders for now, it may mean that hidden shoulders in this way is as far as they can go for more hidden slot options, at least for the time being.

It should be noted that it could be ZOS themselves being reluctant to allow much in the way of hiding slots in the Outfit system, too. We have no way of knowing for sure one way or the other, at least not at this time.

You get whatever enables you to hide them from the impresario or their assistant, I cannot recall which.

I am ELATED this is finally going to be around. Now I would just like some designers that don't think every top needs a giant crotch flap and hip waders and even better if we can get some nice clean styles rather than most of them being completely overworked and busy.

I yearned for this option for a long time but I've been making do with Honor Guard epaulets for ages so this is now no longer as exciting as it would have been a few years ago. I think invisible outfit styles (or hide options) for every slot would be neat. Yes, you'd have a lot of people running around in dingy underwear, but if the Nordic Bather's Towel is a thing then why can't I make my own kilt?

Also why are all our aftermarket cosmetics not available at character creation? I choose white hair, create character, then apply the Seafarer's Crowning Trim and find it's the colour of a dirty mop. No bueno.
PC NA, CP2200+. Character creation is the true endgame.

my guess is that it will be some kind of token thats just to unlock the hide shoulder by adding it to our outfit collection menu

it doesnt make a lot of sense than just adding it by default like the hide helmet outfit option though

i also know people who would be interested in this option though and glad they have something planned for it

Could be a shoulder "motif" that is basically invisible on the character, that can be added like any shoulder slot in the outfit station.

I’m guessing they did it this way too so it would be something that could also be used on companion outfits. If it was just an option and a menu like hide helmets, it would only work for player characters.

They actually did something similar not too long after Orsinium released. The "wing" parts of the Trinimac light chest pieces used to be attached to the light shoulders, but was changed (much to my disappointment). They could just move flaps to the waist piece and give us a hide waist option.

Edit: Disappointed that it was removed from the shoulders that is. Never really cared for the Trinimac robe/jerkin, but the shoulders with the "wings" gave me what I was looking for when worn with the Aldmeri Dominion jerkin.

If they are going to do it, rip the Band-Aid off. Give every armor piece the ability to hide it in game at the outfit station. We already have naked Nords in bath towels on every corner, so I am not too worried about people getting carried away.

I would like to be able to hide my chest piece for example, so many cool skins that nobody can see....

I could see a bosmer or beast race wanted to hide their shoes.

I could see a magic user or perhaps an assassin type wanting to hide bulking gloves.

The list goes on. Let's go all in here.
