Will you play the new class, the Arcanist

Yes, but only if they allow class change tokens.
If they provide a Class Change Token, 100% I will buy and change Day-1. And I'd pay a HIGH amount for a Class Change token. Gladly.

Unfortunately without one, it's a no-go from me. Not starting over on all my quest progressions all over again. I get I'm the minority in only having one, main character, but I am invested in my character and his journeys, it's been almost a 10 year long ride, not throwing that away to start over.

Which is a real shame too because the Arcanist class looks absolutely incredible.

    No, to much hassle.
    I will buy the chapter.
    Regular.
Just because of a few moments with Naryu.

IDK. I don't care about grind, just not sure I'm even interested in getting this chapter ATM.

    No clue.

These days I can't even be bothered to play more than my main character, and while the new class sounds cool it does nothing for my main. It will probably come down to if Arcanist is fun to play or not. I thought I might like playing Necromancer when I got that but I eventually grew to dislike it.

Only if it's a true hybrid class with both stamina and magic morphs for all abilities. Sick of the one-focused classes in ESO.

Honestly the time to give us class change tokens. I love sorc, but this seems too good for the daedra-based magic stuff.

Probably not. Barely interested in buying the expansion in the first place. I still have necromancers I've barely touched from 2019.

That's where I'm at. I have a Necromancer partially leveled and with riding partially leveled. It was a grind to get it to the point where I could give it a fair try and I decided I really didn't like the way it played. So today it just sits there doing nothing. If I could swap classes and not have to go through the grind I might consider trying out an Arcanist but that doesn't appear to be in the cards.

I will play it but its not my main so once it hits Level 50 and all skill lines are levelled I'm done, just like I do for Companions.

What I want ZOS to do is provide all class skill lines with the one character so we can pick and choose skills/morphs how we want with our character. That would provide maximum build diversity and the mantra of, play how you want.

With the free character slot they give us, for sure I will try the new class. And if there's something like class change tokens some day and the class functions the way i expect it to do, I could even imagine changing one of my older characters. Not sure yet, but I'm potentially open to it. I already have a concept for the new character, too (still needs a bit of polishing, though).

Very dependent on my progress with Grand Overlord. If I can earn 30M AP on my main by June. Maybe I could see myself spinning up the class after I have completed all of the new chapter content on my main. But even then, likely wouldn't even be until August or so. And I doubt I clear 30M AP by then, so I doubt I will be able to justify spending time on another character.

It's something new so sure I will level at least one up. Whether I use the other character slot on another one or a different class will depend on how much I enjoy levelling up the first one.

At this time I don't plan on getting the Chapter so I don't intend to have one.

If for some reason I change my mind and get it I probably would make one because making alts isn't really much of a hassle for me as long as they don't need the Mage's Guild or Psijic ranked up and for group activities/pvp it's useful to have played a class so you know what the oppositions/your allies are capable of doing.

You and I are in the same boat. There are a lot of us. The entire population of the game is made up of minorities.

Hardcore Dungeon & Trial players are a tiny minority, PvPers are a minority, Housing focused players are a minority, Economic focused Merchants are a minority. But that doesn't mean that their needs are unimportant or invalid. Same with us. People who prefer to play with a single character and play ESO like a Multiplayer RPG are a minority.

I had actually hoped that this might have been the new feature. 🙂

I’ll create a new Arcanist character. It will be my 11th character. But after reading posts in the announcement asking for feedback about the new class, I have to say I wish these 3 new skill lines had been more along the lines that any existing characters could have used, like a new guild or something, so all characters could also be Arcanists like all characters can be Psijics.

no i have a lot of alts but none that have done all the quests over i get them to 50 and then they kind of just stop and i craft with them.
    My main does everything. I

try to do the quests again with different classes but almost all the classes are alike or do enough that is alike that there really isnt a reason to play another class

.I wish they would have just let people learn what ever skill lines they wanted but no like almost every boring MMO they go down this stupid class route that is so limiting.

I'm not worried about the leveling-up part, because I would take it slow rather than grind. I have a lot of Crown riding lessons and instant research scrolls saved up for exactly this purpose, so that should help. And I actually enjoy playing through the zones on a new character, since I haven't already done it umpteen times before on a dozen-and-a-half characters per server.

Yes, but only if they allow class change tokens.
Hermaeus Mora is one of my favorite Daedric Princes, it is a shame that if you made a HM themed character before you would be pretty much doomed to scrap them now seeing as any true themed HM character would have to be this class and we do not have class change tokens.

It would be like if you made a Beastmaster character before they announced the Warden class, I feel it is shameful that Class Change tokens are not a thing, ZOS needs to sell them even if they are 5k crowns each, if you like the new class and want to main it changing your main is not easy especially if you have years worth of content completed on them.
