So we have any info from the devs or from PTS?

I am hoping for an event that utilises blackwood and deadlands portals.

So in late January or early Feb we’ll get Whitestrake’s mayhem PvP event.

As far as normal event, I know Year of the Dragon (Elsweyr anniversary) was supposed to be this coming year, and was tested on PTS. That could be mid January.

With people already complaining about event fatique, I don't think they'll have 3 events in January alone (New Life ending on the 3rd, Elsweyr mid-January and Mayhem late January), so I'd assume there will be something at the end of the month or at the beginning of February, and the other event will likely be postponed until mid or late February. Only a guess, of course.

I'm a little burned out on events, I barely participated in New Life. I think we need an extended break from them, so we can focus on just playing the game instead of doing nonstop, repeat dailies.

[snip] You don't have to actually do the quests and especially don't have to do them repeatedly. Just do enough for the tickets and carry on with the game.
I mean I have barely done any of the new life festival, I have done my daily quest for event tickets missing one day so far and have gotten everything from the event just doing that. I mean crap is dumped in guild banks, shared via chat or zone chat or is sold cheap in stores and zone chat.
It was the same for witches festival too, I barely did anything and just dumped everything in guild bank anyway.

Admittedly though, I have obviously done these events before so I didn't have to grind for stuff like dremora, hollowjack or skinchanger motifs, but the same applies to them, they are dumped in stores or guild banks etc.

You don't have to grind constantly for the items in any event apart from the real crappy ones with horrible RNG drop rates, like the recent one where iceheart mask can drop from the boss in direfrost. Everything else you don't get passively can be easily traded or bought from others, hence why they are community events.

Yeah, at this point I'm happy to wait for Jesters and Jubilee. After New Life, those are my favorites.

Based on PTS, it seems that we'll be getting the Elsweyr Celebration then Midyear. That was the last event tested before it ended, so that implies that we have two more events before the Q1 DLC drops.

I'd assume Elsweyr event is at the end of January and MYM is the end of February.

Based on the time of year, that leaves the patch for early-mid March, and then Jester's at the end of March and Anniversary right after that in April, but we'll see those when the Q1 hits the PTS in January. Also we'll figure out what comes after that, but there is usually a bit of a break in events from mid April to late May.

All you need is a guild member from a different alliance and someone to handle the rez. Kill them 10 times then if they need the achievement them kill you 10 times.

in my understanding Q1 2023 will feature
    - Season of the Dragon
    - Whitestrake's Mayhem
    - Jester's Festival (in March)
not necessarily in this order, but only @ZOS can give the first-hands answer
watch for January Crown Store preview for hints.

Thanks. I guess I could cheese it like that. I rarely ever PvP so I was thinking of the one time I did PvP I think the first midyear mayhem and I sniped people from a far while the zerg was going on.

Ya but those two events are the easiest to burn out on jesters because you have a lot to do in a short time. And anniversary because you feel compelled to do as much as you possibly can each day.

I did that the first time they came around after I started playing. Not since though - I do one Jester's quest on my mains each day, fill up on tickets (and there's not going to be anything other than indriks I'll want this year - the Dibella morphables aren't likely to be stuff I want); New Life now I just craft on mains and whoever's getting close to 50 - though I will likely do more on my newest account, since it's the one with the least motifs known.

I'm just not up to spending all day in game swapping through gazoolas of alts any more. I'd rather quest on whichever alt strikes my fancy.

ESO has always had a number of festivals on a regular basis. I think what's killing interest is the lack of rewards that are worth spending time getting. Just compare the level of quality and effort put into the crown store item compared to what took a 3 event grind in 2022.

It’s not just the lack of rewards, it’s the content of the festivals themselves. There’s no replay value to them, and if you don’t enjoy questing, the content is a massive drag.

My guess is no midyear mayhem what with the crappy cyro performance. Which is sad, really.

I like that the events can either be go all out if you care, just get tix or ignore. I'm at the stage where there's very little I want so its mroe relaxing. I forget to check achievements, lol, which is bad because I want some of those dyes. But I have learned not to allow fomo and roll into the next festival with 10 0r 12 tix at the ready.

    The January 2023 Crown Store preview, under game news in this website, has the following statement;

"Single Event Tickets will be available in the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time during the Season of the Dragon Celebration. Stay tuned for event details! Event Tickets are also giftable to other players from within the Crown Store."

So in January there will be Season of the Dragon Celebration.

@Ragnork There is even more info there, with a date as well:

The Claw-Dance Acolyte Arms Pack will be available in the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time, from January 26 to February 9, 2023, at 10am EST. During the same time period, the style pages for the accompanying armor pack can be found in Elsweyr Coffers (both Glorious and Regular.).

So next event is Elsweyr Celebration from 26/01 till 09/02.

So, my friends and I agreed to meet up under a bridge in Cyrodill. Two of us came in under one alliance so we could revive. We all threw pies at each other and proceeded with cheerful murder. It didn't take long. I know it's not in the spirit of the achievement, but for someone who is wary of PVP, it's a good way to get the title.

Well, I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but I can't get it the normal way. I am still on 2 / 10 after all these years. Simple zerg spamming does not work. I guess you need to get a killing blow on the target? So it's either cheesing it with friends (I suspect that 90% of the players got this achievement in such a fashion) or solo ganking, I think...

A blackwood event would be cool. Deadlands is one of the few overland zones whose stickerbook is missing some entries, so I'd happy jump on that to get that completed.

I completely ignored New Life this year. Personally, I'm not seeing any incentive to do them. I'm fine with them happening, gives newer players a chance to catch up, but I'm largely ignoring them at this point.

Agreed. Thinking back to the High Isle event - they could've used that Ghost Ship as a MacGuffin for a unique event. There's an opportunity to make these events evolve every year, stacking up rewards and new experiences, and it's a shame they don't realize it. I like the double rewards - but only when my stickerbook needs them. The last few events had less-than-generous drop rates for the hot-ticket items like a new style, so I'm even less inclined to them.
