Hey guys, if you already heard this in-game and don't care sorry I'm gonna ask again since guild chat wasn't working
Hi, I'm new to RP but would love to try a session some time, but right now I'm just gonna try writing a comedic series, Dragon's Cry, based on the guild and your RP characters that I'll try to make as entertaining as possible, although I'm not a professional writer I love writing stories especially about the player's lore instead of the game's, I'd love for this to be a regular thing I do but since this is about the guild I'll need a bunch of characters in the guild, if you just feel like getting your RP character out there send me their name/race/class/and if you want their backstory, some people's I'll just make up, thanks for reading this if you did and hopefully I'll be able to RP with you guys in-game
That's a good point. Maybe in the writer's section you could tell us a little more about it, like if it's a fun "alternate universe" type thing, or if you picture it following stricter guild story canon.
If I may offer a suggestion, instead of sending you name/race/story, you might want to consider RP'ing with members of the guild instead and getting to know those things that way. It'll give you a much bigger picture of their personality, history, behavior in certain situations.
I'm also really looking forward to the guild writers writing about the RP adventures and RPvP exploits that will happen. Kind of the writers FF account of what really went down. Definitely going to be a lot of good source material there!
Thank you so much for your helpful advise and support and yes I agree with Haxer, playing with the actual people would be a lot of a fun but the reason why that might not always be the case is since I'd have to meet them within the timeframe of 3-4 days a week, but I'm glad that you actually support a comedy about the guild (I was wondering how would work out), I'm still working on the First Episode and would love to share it as soon as I'm done
A record of the first Guild Meeting, as taken down by our scribe Rok (@Nytlite):
Date: Sunday, April 6th, 2014
Time: 6:00 PM
Officers Appointed: Rok'Nar as Event Coordinator
Nor as PvE Officer
Still Available: RPvP Officer, Small group Officers, Trade Officer
-The guild's views on the warring factions are as follows: While everyone may have their own reasons for fighting in the war, the guild's primary goal is to protect the grand knowledge that is the elder scrolls, and claim the enemies to further our understanding, and continue our quest to brighten Tamriel's future through our newfound knowledge.
-Our guild's voice chat will be officially hosted by Nor, in his Mumble server. Thank you to Nor for yet another great contribution.
-Though the website was not spoken of much, all members can be certain that something is coming. Something great. (www.dragontears.boards.net)
-Skullcrusher will be the guild's official home campaign. This is because it is the unofficial RPvP Campaign!
-The guild titles follow, from least to greatest. Apprentice, Tear, High Tear, Councilor, High Councilor.
-Our policy on character names has been updated(sort of): Any vulgar or non-RP worthy names will result in confrontation by an officer, and a request to change the name. Failure to comply will result in further disciplinary action from officers.
-As a general rule, we allow cursing in chat and on the forums. However, do not use the words as standard vocabulary. Everything is okay in moderation.
-From this point on, the structure of guild meetings have changed. There will be a time in the beginning for all members to attend and express their concerns and proposals for the Council. When this is finished, members will be asked to leave and the Council will have a time to discuss matters to themselves. This will be called a Council Meeting for RP purposes, while a general guild meeting shall be called a Guild Meeting. The Guild may, from time to time, have Guild Meetings for all members to attend for RP or OOC purposes. We hope this keeps the Guild Drama to a minimum for those folks who are not Officers who just want to log in and play/RP.

A Dragon's Tear has many mystical qualities... dragontears.boards.net
Had many laughs last night playing with Ronin, when he sacrificed me to the dark anchor. And by that I mean I fell through the map while we were waiting for it to spawn lol. Once I got back from Oblivion though (or wherever that was...), we promptly took it down.
Great Cyrodiil run tonight as a warm up to our Cyrodiil Guild Night on Sat at 6pm EST.
Too bad EP & AD teamed up on us at the end!
Also invited 4 new people to the Guild tonight... we are fast approaching 100 members!! Great job to everyone for making this guild one of the best & most desiresble RP Guilds for Daggerfall Covenant!

How dare the Vampire RP guild approach our number of views and comments on this Forum?!
The Nerve.
In, all seriousness... this is a reminder to all the we are having a Cyrodiil RPvP event on Saturday night, 6pm EST. We will be exploring parts of Cyrodiil as a group, including a group open world dungeon, and then descending into chaos fighting to regain back Keeps that have been STOLEN from the Covenant over the last few days.
Come one. Come ALL!

Well now, this sounds like an interesting guild. You've piqued my interest... though any RP guild that's both NA and DC and involves "explorers" is good in my book! I've never RP'd in a game before (for that matter, ESO is one of the few MMOs I've played), so I'm not exactly all that experienced, but this sounds more up my alley than some of the other RP guilds I've read or heard about.
The first thing that I'm balking at is the mutual pace thing. I've already cleared the main story section of the game and I'm about to finish Veteran Auridon, so I dunno how my character would sync up. The other thing I'm worried about is the fact that I live on a rock in the middle of the ocean (Hawaii), so I dunno how well timezones would sync up.
Greetings, thought I should finally pop in as one of the helpful voices of Dragon Tears.
We are happy to hear your interesting skypowerb, as for you worries about levels and members, our guild is filled will all player levels, the main way people met up for RP is in the many Taverns and Inns that scatter across the lands, as for roleplay in groups, its a habit to grouping up at any level just for the fun of it. There always things to loot no matter what level you are.
This comes with timezone sync up too, although as a fact with NA server, many of the residence of Dragon Tears are of that region, but in same breath we are a vary global guild. As myself being Australian I pleasantly surprised when I get on, there is at least a handful of others to talk to, and because of the diverse timezones of our wonderful little planet, just being on few hours different then what you normally do lets you meet a whole different group of people.
I hope you will consider us still, and anyone else who may stumble across my reply. Anyone can have no problem fitting in as long as you have a lot of heart, and a little bit of crazy.
