    Two things I noticed:

1- OP it would be interesting to know what class/classes you play and setups. Nothing crazy, but are you stam or mag, etc. Using bow or daggers or what? Did you do all of your tests across a bunch of characters and found the same experience? It might be nice for the folks who are struggling with accessibility after the patch.

2- Every patch has people who like it and people who don't. What's interesting is that the OP, who likes this patch, has even said "constant changes are a burden." THAT was really the big theme of the detractors of U35. "Stop making such major changes, we are exhausted!!" The additional commentary about how many did not see better accessibility or a raised floor was added mainly because it emphasized the underlying theme of too much change. It felt like adding insult to injury to have to weather such drastic change and not even see the stated goals reached.

So really, everyone agrees. :D Everyone is weary of the constant changes but has their own freeze moment where they'd like to say "no more!"

Which is why it would be nice if we could see changes implemented that are more cautious, and don't decimate playstyles in sacrifice of others. I believe in many cases ZOS could make improvements without negatively impacting others but lack of perspective or testing or time or ... who knows ... causes us to get a different result. But I'm pretty sure that the OP's positive experience could have been accomplished without everyone else's negative experiences.

OP I'm glad that you and some others in this thread are happy with that changes. That fact doesn't change that many quit or had their fun greatly diminished by this patch. And I still think that's a shame.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

If you are a heavy-attack, one bar, oakensoul user, yes, you probably didn’t lose much, since oakensoul now buffs your heavy attacks. As for everyone else….. : (

First: nice to hear that, Tenthirty2!

Then... Peacenote, honestly I have not shared my build because like everyone I'm afraid it could be nerfed soon. But I've created this one on the basis that it can't be really nerfed imo, so...
Imperial, Warden, Frost staff, Oakensoul, Plague Doctor, Necropotence, Trainee. (Let me avoid mentioning skills and CP...)
They are all very basic sets, not META... And for the content I do I have no problems. It would be different in groups, Trials or Veteran, I'm sure.
    - a positive note is the price of this build: on Xbox EU you can get everything for less than 100K gold. Btw, why everytime I try to give money to new players they run away?!?!

Carlos424, yeah I agree that my enjoyment comes from spamming Empowered Heavy Attacks, which I hope won't change...
It's a playstyle I enjoy because of my damaged hands, but it's not for everyone, I know.

Edit: I want to add that in the past a lot of my builds got nerfed or destroyed by updates. I came up with this build with the mindset of "c'mon, try to nerf this!" XD
I used it before Oakensoul, being able to clear both WB in The Reach completely solo. Oakensoul was a marvelous add.

(That's my Main. I have another Warden Tank and a Templar Healer, but I don't use them much, so I can't speak on the update outside of my Main case, sorry for that. I understand others could have been hit harder by U35, no denying that).

WE FINALLY FOUND THE ONE PERSON THEY WERE AIMING FOR!!!

Something is something, at least OP gave a proper explenation what they found to be better than before instead of only schadenfreude.

I agree with your statement here. I like how OP admitted he was nerfed and did less damage in the content but found it easier because he wasn't looking at timers. It makes it clear what aspect worked and doesn't try to convince us that no nerfs occured. This is a very good write up as to the kind of player this update helps, so I'm glad OP shared their perspective. Good Job OP.

I'm one of those who actually really likes this update.

But I post rarely about it, because if something works the way you like, you play the game, and don't spend much time in the forum.
So if you see disappointed players here, this is not representative for the players in general.
As those who like it, don't complain here.

I like the new sweeps animation, as it gives me better sight to the opponent. What I don't like is the sound of the dual wield flurry, it sounds like scratching your fingernails on a chalkboard. Hurts my ears. Might even respec to 2H because of this.

My templars still do good damage for the content I play (worldboss dailies, normal dungeons).
The empower upgrade encourages me to rebuild some characters to heavy staff attack builds. I enjoy this, as I suffered since 2 years already from the slow decrease in heavy staff attack damage, so I'm glad they are no longer useless.

Concerning the damage loss of jabs: I main several templars (2 accounts, 2 servers), but think it is ok.
I play 68 characters of all classes, and templar always was overpowered.
    - simple (spam sweeps)
    - unkillable (sweeps heal you)
    - no extra skill required for AOE

What templar goes through atm, is the same that sorcerers went through when crystal blast was removed. They are brought in line with other classes. Sure that hurts, but it makes sense.

As a result, it now gets interesting again to play other classes, too. I see this as a enhancement.
I actually really love my mag-DKs, with molten armaments they get major sorcery AND empower, so they are my favourite class for heavy staff attacks now.
