Launcher version is 1.3.5.953486
Game version says 1.0.0956792

If you're attempting to log into The Elder Scrolls Online beta client and receiving the error "Login Error: Login Timeout", you should first check the version of the client. The client version should be 1.0.0.953227.
The client version is located in the bottom-left corner of the login screen.
If your client is not in the Version 1.0.0.953227 should perform the following steps:
- Close both the game and the launcher
- Open the game installation directory
- Open the folder named "Launcher"
- Inside the "Launcher" folder, there is a folder named "ProgramData"
- Rename the "ProgramData" folder to "ProgramDataBackup"
- Open the launcher and download update
- Click "Play"
We wish you the best of adventures in Tamriel!

After I registered I had to wait until Bethesda updated my account. They sent an email congratulating me. Then I tried to use the Beta client and it was still dead, so I reinstalled the client from the ESO update page.

We would like to invite you to declare the Client and the Launcher as authorized for your antivirus; As well for your Firewall. You also need to set your Launcher "Run as Administrator".
Feel free to let us know if you're still having issue.
We appreciate your patience.
Learn from Blizzard next time. It's called stress testing and not releasing a product until it is ready.
The Europe megaserver is located in the US currently. They are moving it to a european datacenter sometime after launch. Hence that.Disabling the antivirus & giving the launcher admin rights had no effect.
According to wireshark the PC is constantly spamming a US server while "requesting character load". (EU server chosen)
^This pretty much loops.
No traffic is coming from the EU?
