Son of a batch of cookies, I have to wait two more days. The agony!...Well I'm going to play Skyrim for the next 48 hours and grind my teeth in anticipation. See you guys around.

I bought it straight from the ESO website digitally (standard edition that is) in January and apparently I have 3 days early access, whereas I thought digital copies got 5-days early access so this is just confusing :/

I shopped around for the product and didn't find one that offered more than the 3 day early access for the std ed. It was clearly stated everywhere.

    Check your emails. Mine reads:

"The servers for early access (PC/Mac) will open Tuesday, April 1 (12:00 GMT) and will let you explore the world of Tamriel before the release on April 4, 2014."

    Hi guys,

If you're getting in troubles with the error 103, we would like to invite you to run the game as Admin.

Feel free to come back if the issue still occurs.

Also, if you're receiving the error 103 code, we recommend waiting for a period of 10 minutes and then attempting to login again. This error can occur in moments of extraordinarily high login volumes.

This does seem a little unfair. Particularly when you follow the link from the ESO website to their recommended retailers, you pre order after reading the 5 day access, only to find it is 3 days. I guess it is my own fault for not reading all the details fully. Oh well.
Not all Pre-orders are equal :(

Check billing history on account if youll see there 3days early only your retailer is ... and youll need to wait until Tuesday because no refunds there

Bought my Imperial Edition PC download at Gamestop, which advertised 5 day early access, NOT 3 day.

I don't really care where the disconnect of info came from, Gamestop or ESO. I'm going to blame ESO, because ESO can flip the switch to let me play today, while Gamestop cannot.

I only paid the extra money for the Imperial edition to get access today. I am not a happy customer at this moment. A word of advice. I play WoW, with two accounts, paid twice a year; I know I will keep playing, so I have no problem paying in advance.

I likewise have no problem with a subscription to ESO. Unless I get crap service. Please don't make the mistake of telling me "Caveat Emptor" on Day 1 minus 5 of your new game, which needs a certain number of paid subscribers to be successful. There was no way of my knowing that Gamestop or ESO or both got their signals crossed, I shouldn't be paying the extra $20. for someone else's screwup.

You can fix this, so fix it please.

it seems the version i bought isn't even on their list
i went back to eb games, and it seems the version i bought/preordered was called a physical map edition, when i clicked on the link from this page and prepaid it wasn't called that it was called physical limited edition, seems eb games has pulled a shifty, wonder if any other people have been ripped off

    Well f*ck, eh?
Ok well, I am going crazy. I'm going to be one very unhappy panda if I miss the early release.

I bought my Imperial edition though EB games, and they gave me a key which is supposed to get me on, but I keep getting that stupid message that says I don't have permission and I"m not authorized to log into the server.

Zenimax, you guys are really dropping the ball on this one. Not smart to *** off a very large chunk of your player base before the game even launches.

Hey come on people, I know it sucks, but it's only two days. Watch some Game of Thrones, play some Facebook games, or go outside to frolick and poke something dead with a stick.

They've always been up front about it. Physical edition gets 3 day early access, digital gets 5 day early access. If I've known this since February, then the problem is not on ZOS's end.

that's not true, I have the digital regular and the site has said 5 days for it since after 3/14 and I'm stuck on the 3 day list and was already billed. Contacted CS about it and am on a call waiting list. Check your full facts, But hey I still have south Park to play or even World Of Warcraft. So I can wait for an hour for the call and such.

Frankly, if folks didn't expect issues like this on launch day, they're a bit naive.

It's one of the reasons I purchased only the three-day early start version, and for a good deal too - at $45.

For those sucking wind right now, recommend contacting customer support and seeing if they'll knock off part of your first month's subscription fee - its probably the best you're gonna do.

Ok, I just saw a fix in another thread, it worked for me.

Go to the game file, go under 'properties' and check 'run program as administrator'.
    Is this thing on?

    DUUUUUUUUDE!!!!

I have been going apsalutly mental waiting for this game. I loved playing in the beta, despite its astounding amount of bugged quests, and bugs in general.

I was going so crazy, that I had to buy myself Dark Souls 2, because the act of dying more times than I can count, and losing all my souls over and over to a giant firkin spider with 2 heads with far less teeth grinding, than waiting for ESO to finally come out, only to get hit with this.

Wow... This was quite a blow...

Sure, it's only 2 more days, but I wasn't promised 3 days, I was promised 5, and waiting this long was painful, I want to kill the damn elves! FOR THE KING!

We're currently looking into why you all are receiving this error. To reiterate what some others have said in this thread already, please keep in mind that there are two different types of Early Access: 5-day and 3-day.

5-Day Early Access is included with:
    • Digital Standard Edition (through the ESO store)
    • Digital Imperial Edition (through the ESO store)
    • Physical Imperial Edition (through a retailer)

3-Day Early Access is included with:
    • Digital Standard Edition (through a retailer)
    • Physical Standard Edition (through a retailer)

Please also ensure that if you pre-ordered ESO from a retailer, that you have indeed redeemed the Early Access key you received. To ensure you have Early Access applied to your account, log in at account.elderscrollsonline.com, and check that "Early Access" indeed listed under Purchased Games --> Account Status.

But ElderScrolls store says both are 5 days for digital.

This was a stupid decision and has quite a few people ****** off. Why should you get preference for purchasing from the ESO store? Creates confusion and more launch day drama and anger. So my group of friends, who all purchased Stardard, some are currently playing and some of us are stuck waiting.

Will pre-purchasing or pre-ordering give me early access to the game?
If players pre-purchase the Digital Standard or Digital Imperial Edition for PC/Mac from The Elder Scrolls Online Store (https://store.elderscrollsonline.com), they'll receive five days of early access to the game. Additional PC/Mac early access programs are available through participating retailers. We have not announced plans for early access on console formats.

    This is what confused me:

    1. I believed the Explorers Pack was the early access, which it isn't.
    2. This line from the above vFAQ on the website
Additional PC/Mac early access programs are available through participating retailers
which doesn't mention any difference in early access times.

It is a shame there are two tiers of early access, particularly when people have paid the same amount of money, for the same product. I am now both happy and sad that I opted for the standard version.

but, as a bonus, at least I have had a chance to enjoy the credits, and if you haven't yet played them, do so, the music alone is worth it ;)

Once the update is done, I'll do so.

... but sitting at 139 kB/s with just under 3GB to go, it may be some time yet before I can do so. ;)

I agree it was, but none the less it was a decision made by Bethseda/ESO and they made it. So instead of owning up to a fragged mistake they went ahead an bait and swapped people making matters worse. I mean as long i'm not paying for the extra missed days i'd be happy with a consolation prize of a horse on Tuesday for the wait...What I can hope the folks there are nicer than the Blizzard folks.
