A "race condition" is a technical term. It does not mean an ESO race. A race condition is a flaw in a system or process where the result is unexpected and dependent upon a sequence or timing of other events; thus resulting in a failure or bug.

This is true although in the context of a game with many different races i's perfectly understandable how most read that as races of Tamriel.

...which is EXACTLY why I posted; to help folks who do not understand technology to clear up the confusion. I was not trying to insult anyone's intelligence or poke fun at anyone. I was simply trying to clarify what the words meant in the context of the post from PTS. That's all.

There's a note in one of the PTS patch notes for update 35. It mentioned that they found the issue, as seen about in this thread. It should be achievable when the patch comes out.

The only somewhat opaque reference that might be related I could find in the patch notes was:

8.1.3 > Combat & Gameplay > Companions > Achievements

'Fixed an issue where the Isobel's Favor achievement might not increment due to a race condition.'

I will see if I can coax someone to test this with me tonight.

EDIT: Still haven't been able to confirm this, sorry. For obvious reasons 'could you jump on the PTS with me to test something please?' is currently a tough sale.

As of today not fixed yet?? Hopefully in this next release? I am an achievement hog, so I need this fixed.

Only just tried to get this achievement now didn't realise that it was still bugged. Will it definitely be fixed in U35 does anyone know, or is that just a guess?

I wasn't aware of this bug when I tried to get the achievement tonight. Didn't work so hopefully fixed with update.

Just had this bug affect me. Did two duels for endeavours, and not once did I get the achievement. Had Isobel summoned both times.

Update fixed it for me. Finally got it as soon as I accepted a duel request before the duel even started.

Just be aware you need to ACCEPT someone else's request. It doesn't work if you do the requesting yourself.

What device did you try this on? Was this on PTS? Just tried again on Xbox EU and it still didn't work.

Bug is fixed for me. I am glad I could get Isobel final achievements, by accepting a duel (just to lose the duel and die pitifully thereafter ).

PC. The fix is part of update 35 and you don't have that yet on consoles.

Hey, I still don't get that achievement when accepting a duel with Isobel out. Submitted a bug report quite a while ago, but no ZOS response. @ZOS_Kevin, or anyone, is there help?

it is a multi-part achievement, i think there are 3-5 total tasks you have to do to gain rapport with isobel in order for the achievement to be completed

most people (due to the bug) were only missing the line for "accept a duel"

I know, i am just missing that line and accepted duels after the fix, did not work :-(

well i know it was working at one point on PC, but i have no idea if one of the recent patches also re-broke this too lol

I can confirm this was fixed on update 35 on Xbox EU as it popped for me after doing a duel. Has it broken again with the latest update?
