Anticipation & Wishlist: ESO 10th Anniversary

It's almost certain ZOS are already planning the 10th anniversary year (2024) for ESO. Whether anything written here will have an effect is unknown, but they do read and pick up on things.

Either way, whether it is a new or redesigned game system, a location, an NPC, a story plot, an in-game item, a musical request, a physical item in the Bethesda store, a gathering in real life, etc. -- is there anything you would add to the 10th anniversary wish list?

I want them to balance pvp and pve separately.

I'd love to see them start moving away from the loot box system in favor of a more player-friendly and less toxic business model.

A new class maybe? Or skill line? Or even like... A new morph for every skill in the game, making three choices instead of 2 along with some skill reworks on skills that just aren't used.

The ability to buy any house with gold. I don't mind if they make the house prices rise and fall with in-game inflation, but I'd just like to buy some new houses; the ones that you can't buy are just too expensive with money. The alternative here would be a way to trade crowns with players, that way there's no scams but also it achieves the same purpose.

I wish they would finally fix that weird NPC behaviour in Gnisis homes, the one where they have eyes in the backs of their skulls and will literally catch you breaking into their homes and give you an instant bounty even though you crouched and snuck up behind them. Every time going there thieving feels like amateur hour. Am I literally entering their houses wearing clown shoes with tiny bulb horns attached to the soles or what is up with that.

I would love to see base game zones get some love, like graphical updates. Also as others have said, some kind of cool furnishing to commemorate the occasion.

Hm, it is tough question.
I'd like all year event with the possibility to get all bound rewards which are not available anymore,
maybe just a little changed, for example

-New version of Dragon’s Treasure Trove from Dragon Rise Event
-New Target Ogrim from Bounties of Blackwood Event
-New Keldora from Daily Rewards – Feb 2021

I think it is fair as experienced players could have original and new version as well,
Two Ogrims are always better then one

And I wish new rewards as well, including
-musical instruments, which are already in game but not available for homes (lute, harph, flute, people are asking for them for years ...)
-ships (bigger then existing ones)

I hope there IS going to be something special. Everybody likes Cadwell. I think an Anniversary Cadwell Houseguest would be fun.
For game mechanics, I'd like all of our houseguests to "posable" i.e., you can have them use ANY unlocked emote or momento. Maybe place a marker on the ground/ chair/ bed, etc., and assaign it an emote. Then whomever you path to it will use it. That would be fun.
Maybe make a max of 2 for a small, 5 for a medium house, 9 for a large house, and i don't know, like 15 for a huge house?

And Fish Furnishings and Frogs for our ponds.

i think it'd be appropriate to add a sequel to the original main questline, the one revolving around Molag Bal, the amulet of kings and the five companions. have it in the form of another year long chapter/series of dlc just as a big celebration of the original story of the game

• The painting could be a collage with the Prophet, Cadwell, Abner Tharn, Lyris, Sai Sahan and all the characters involved in the very first story quest chain. And Molag Bal in the background.
• A large statue with all of these characters standing as a group.
• Separate statues of the Prophet and Cadwell.
• A small plaque with the number 10 imposed over faded images of the past.

The painting and plaque could be gifts and the rest of the items could be purchased with tickets in an anniversary event.

Yes, please. Stuff the crown store with EVERYTHING, to give everyone a one-time chance to buy what they missed (and please run a crown sale at the same time, or run a discount on all items in the crown store). All the houses, the mounts, the wardrobe items, furniture, emotes, etc. EVERYTHING.

Also for the anniversary month (April, 2024 I believe):

Deliver an absolutely mind-blowing login rewards month with all sorts of special goodies - something great on every day. As already suggested, some special anniversary keepsakes would be nice.

Reward boxes for doing anything in game: quests, dungeons, writs, antiquities, killing a mud crab, whatever. If there's a reward or something to loot, add an anniversary box.

The 10th anniversary is ZOS's chance to thank players for supporting this fabulous game! (do the crown store thing right and ZOS should have a great anniversary month, too)

Do a 10th Anniversary Mega Quest (not repeatable)

1. Have 1 quest in each zone. Highlight whatever you want to highlight in each zone. Can be crafting quest, dungeon, undaunted, writs, public dungeons, trials, companion related, whatever...something different in each zone that shows everyone what the game has to offer
2. 40 total quests (counts High Aisle) plus whatever new content comes before 10th Anniv
3. Make it difficult enough that it could take at least 1 month to complete (allowing people to do their normal daily activities). make the event 6 months long to complete.
4. You get a # of "Credits" for each quest completed.
5. When you're ready to redeem the one-time award, award will be based on how many credits you accumulated. Or make the awards at end of event.
6. <<<<MOST IMPORTANT PART OF EVENT>>>>Make awards worthy of the overall quests. Ex, If you completed all the quests on all zones, grand prize is 10K crowns or mix of crowns, crown gems and seals of endeavor or Crowns, New 10th Anniv Notable Home (never to be rereleased), Special 10th Anniv Furnishing plans (never to be rereleased).. Something worthy of 10th Anniversary.

I understand not everyone will get grand prize, but I think it scales on what each person contributes to ESO - If you have ESO+, you should get max award since you're supporting the game. If you dont have ESO+, You can still get cool prizes for completing the general areas.

Have game free trial for a couple different weekends to entice people to play.
Randomly have free ESO+ days (maybe 2-3 through event) to give some a chance at zones they dont normally have access to.

Make it fun.....challenging.....rewarding

Im not sure i will still be playing then by then tbh, with the way the last 3 or 4 years have been, ive not really enjoyed or supported the direction the updates have been going.

What i will say though is that in order for me to still be here by then i would really hope to see some good changes in that time, consisting of...

pvp updates, performance rewards and bg maps etc some good content

events, real ones not like do a million dailies for some tickets for a naff mount.

Combat pet skins and more customisations such as barber / hair dye etc.

overland difficulty changes, quests are so boringly easy its depressing.

By 2024 at leased 1 new class and 1 new skill line.

An engaging new system that isnt like skrying or card games because no. something like a pet system where you can tame animals from the wild all over tamriel and have them as combat pet, instead of a companion say,
just something that will add more customisation and engaging play time.


I hope to be here for the 10th aniversarry but this is going to be a tough year for me to keep playing when all we're getting is a card game.

I think ZOS know what we want, i cant imagine for a second that they are this far out of touch, so whatever power is syphoning resouses away from them needs to start investing back into ESO and not into whatever else they are spending on.

- Performance is fixed on all platforms
- The lag and misfiring of abilities vanishes
- Long awaited refresh of the games code base

For me the rest are minor.

I'm game graphic designer. I think non DLC old game model of ESO is very terrible quality.
Especially horse model and old apparel. That should be remastered.

TBH , new content is not really important to me , I wanna enjoy every moment I play .
