Am I losing my mind?

I decided to install the PTS in order to look around High Isle and I'm running into something odd. I play on a PC but the PTS is being displayed as if I were playing on a console. Anyone have an idea as to why this is occurring?

Never mind, the game defaulted to gamepad mode for some reason.

They're testing a new Accessibility Mode on PTS, there will have been a popup about "turn on accessibility mode" during the initial loading, people have been allowing it without reading. It looks very much like the basic TOS script, just with less text.
You're not the only one caught by it

You need to turn Accessibility mode off and then separately turn Gamepad Mode off, probably in that order. The accessibility mode turns on gamepad mode, but they have to be turned off separately.

And please consider writing them a /feedback report about it so it can maybe get fixed before the patch goes live.

I actually did read it and declined, so I was rather confused by the "new" interface, and had no clue that was accessibility mode, until I came here and read about the issue. Kind of weird that is accessibility mode too for that matter, it made everything harder to do, which one would think is the exact opposite of accessible.

I really hope this bug gets fixed before it goes live. "Accessibility" does not mean all things to all people, and forcing gamepad use for it is not a good idea.

This has been confusing and inconvenient for people who aren't handicapped. For those who are, it could be far, far worse.

My husband is handicapped. He plays mostly with a gaming mouse and a foot controller, because he has one hand that doesn't work any more. (I'm just glad that he can play, and enjoy the game.) If he got stuck in gamepad UI mode unintentionally, it would be a lot harder for him to get back out of it.

Please, please, fix this!
