That would simply be the gold reward, which is the lowest bit of it. The mats, survey map mats, and master writs can be worth 3-5x that amount.

Not everyone sells that stuff though. For those people they make their money on the writs themselves, not on whatever they get from the boxes. If that person doesn't sell their drops, why would they include that in their profit?

Real life is for grinding real world money, especially if you have a garbage job. IMO games are for relaxing, especially after coming home from said job.
You need subscription for craft bag, to have enough space for writs materials.Gaeliannas wrote: »You have never made more than 5k an hour? Doing daily crafting writs on a single character makes you 5k in like 2 minutes.

I never grinded gold, as it looks useless to me. Gathered enough materials for 3 golden (purple jewels) armor sets just by picking materials alongside roads when i travel. Got tri-stat glyphs with free tel-vars from daily logins.
Once i looted monster mask style from random vet DLC dungeon, sold it for 2 mln and bought ice staff of powerful assault, the only expensive item i needed.
I play 1-2 hours per day, during which i get 2 random dungeon reward emails (sometimes contains purple jewelry) and all purple items i get in dungeons (to deconstruct and sell materials). I think its less than 5k / hour.

This is basically what I have to do. If I were to base my gold accrual rate off of actual in-game activities it would be around 25k or less, because I just don't have the time. I work 12 hours a day so my limited playtime in ESO is valuable to me. I don't have time to grind or farm because I just work too much irl, so, I do a 1000:1 gold-to-crown exchange and provide a service to people who don't have enough money irl to get the items they want from the crown store but who have plenty of time in the game to farm gold. I acquire in-game gold, my buyer gets something cool out of the store, and I purchase more crowns from ESO. Everyone wins. I've made as much as $42,000,000 in a single exchange before.
I have 3 armory setups (equipment has to be in bag) + do dungeons daily, so it leaves very little bag space, have to clear it every day. If i dedicated to writs - maybe i would have enough space, but dungeons are much more important for me.Gaeliannas wrote: »Actually you can do all 7 craft dailies without the craft bag, you just need to keep the right mats and get rid of the rest. I have numerous friends/guildmates that don't sub and do just that. Apparently it is less materials than you would think from what they tell me if all you do is the dailies, and they sell the extra stuff/mats for a decent chunk of change as well. Might be worth trying? But if you don't really have a use for gold, then probably not.
