41 new achievements, shown: 6. For real??

I logged my old main char then I logged my actual main char. On screen appeared "41 new achievements earned" but I can only see the last 6.
And the other 35? How can I know whitch achievements I've earned?

This new feature seems a bit too hasty

It means your actual main character had already completed 41 achievements which your old main had not before this update and those have now been added to the account-wide achievements. Brand new ones completed because you had partial progress on one character and the other part on another get a separate notification like before.

If you want to know which ones those are you'll need to look through the list for ones with your actual main's name next to them. An easy way to narrow it down would be to think about the things they've done which your old main didn't get to.

I assume you mean the summary, which has only ever displayed the last six. It has nothing to do with the new system being hasty and is more a limitation of the achievement system in general, for displaying all achievements in chronological order, since the very first iteration of achievements. It's not unprecedented that you get new achievements when you log in, as happened with the Undaunted, Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Vampire, Werewolf, etc. achievements ages ago which were granted immediately on login.

Which isn't to say the new system isn't hastily implemented or that it's somehow perfect, it's far from perfect (the bit I personally dislike the most is the "Earned By" text in the tooltip, which only tracks the oldest-earned by character, not the character you're on and not all characters, which I worked around by using a similar method to Honestly-Earned Achievements, but I made the removal apply to everything), but the summary isn't specific to the new system. If you know your characters well enough, you'll have a good idea what achievements they do or do not have, even as an approximate, and you can look through each category to see the newest added to the top.

While it has always been like this, we wouldn't have noticed before because never was it possible to "earn" so many achievements at once.

I agree with you. An added view that let you see all of them would have been really nice. I myself wanted to see if the order I chose for my alts was effective but got frustrated when I realized how hard they were to find besides the recent six.

It was possible to get multiple achievements at once, but only under specific circumstances.

If you had at least 450 champion points you could get 11 achievements in quick succession by getting a new character to level 50 (which gives an achievement) and spending 150 champion points in each constellation which gives 1 achievement for the first point spent and 9 for spending 50, 100 and 150 points in each constellation. Technically the achievements would unlock gradually as you did that but you wouldn't see the notifications until you left the menu so they'd all appear together.

You could also get at least 4 achievements from one action under the right circumstances. For example learning the last of the Hollowjack motifs could get you:
    • Happy work for Hollow Jack
    • An unsparing harvest (if it's the last of the Witches Festival achievements you do)
    • True style master (if it's your 50th motif)
    • Grandmaster Crafter (if true style master was the last requirement)

You could do that immediately after obtaining the last type of plunder skull and it being the 100th one you opened to bring it up to 6 achievements within a few seconds (but technically 3 separate actions).

There's other combinations which are possible too, but again unlikely. But it wasn't uncommon for 1 character to get more than 6 achievements in a short space of time.

(In another MMO I played significant achievements would be announced to everyone on your server and players would often try to stack up as many as they could to get the announcements all in one go.)

But normally, if you waited long enough, the game would at least display all the achievement names on the screen right? One by one?

I know I definitely have had those moments in easy dungeons where I take in an alt, and I get speed mode, hard mode, no death, completion, and vet completion achievements all in a row. Plus maybe an achievement for the last boss, too. It was so fun. And they always showed, one by one. I think I've seen this in housing too, when an alt happens to go into a fully decorated home for the first time... lots of decorator achievements if I recall although that experience wasn't as fun or memorable because it just involved stepping foot inside a home.

Now for AwA we have zero indication of which achievements, where, have been altered beyond the first six. It just shows the number of achievements but didn't show the names of them.

I actually found it a little misleading, too, because I think it is counting overwritten achievements the same as truly new ones that were firing because of the aggregation. But I'm not 100% sure because they were tough to track down.

    This is what I'm saying

es: before if you went to fully decorated house with a new char you could see in the center of the screen all the achievents earned, one by one.
Yesterday I just saw "you earned 41 new achievements", I waited to see one by one all the announcements but... nothing. I searched for a list or something that tells me what are those achievements but... nothing again.
I know that I can look into all the sub categories, but come on........

Yesterday by the end of logging in my 10 characters, I had earned an additional 121 achievements. A few flashed up on the screen for each character. Each time it said the number of achievements I earned I noted it down because I wanted to know the total. I think I could go back and see them all individually now by just looking at achievements that have yesterday’s date. I’m not sure that I would’ve wanted to sit there reading 121 individual achievement notices as they flashed up on the screen because I wanted to get the logins done and move on to something else, but if that’s the way it had happened I would have probably done it. 🙂

I had this issue after logging into my 14 characters including ones I used to main a long time ago but have since moved on, but not deleted.

I sorted my achievements by "earned" and sorted through looking for ones with todays date.

I wanted to know if I unlocked any new colors since progress for achievements got combined. I did, I unlocked 5 new colors for outfitting stations.

I know that when I would deconstruct multiple pieces of armour from a set I didn't have a lot of (pre-update) it would tell me that x pieces have been added, without going into detail like it does when it's one or two. Maybe it's the same thing?

A maximum of individual announcements before getting lumped together?

You wouldn't have needed to sit there reading them flash up on screen if you didn't want to, you could have just relogged - the flashing up on screen is just a display thing that would have been useful for those who wanted to see them all, but you wouldn't have had to - relogging during would not have affected the award of those achievements for you.

I was disappointed that I did not get the on screen ping for each.
