How long did it take you to become Grand Overlord? (PvP)

When I quitted playing 2 years ago, I was very close to my 5th GO, what a waste of time it was.

when you're rank 39 you only earned 50% of all you need to get grand overlord.

It has taken just over one year to reach Grand Overlord Grade 2.

Started at level 10 in Icereach and currently level 49, playing most days.

64,680,000 AP to reach Grade 2, lots of patience and millions of gold - I do not want to work out how much gold I've spent!



I'm not the first Grand Overlord at level 49, but after I saw it could be done, I started it out last year as a one off personal challenge. I'm certainly not going to repeat this - so boring and expensive. There is a lot of juggling to match AP and XP gains so your level goes up the same as your rank. If you want to repeat this let me know.

Stuff like this gets ruined with account titles.

Something around 2 years. Never cheated with the score, never farmed AP just played the game.

I enjoyed pvp, but only ever played super casually until I saw that last star on the horizon then I went hell-for-leather.

Interesting (scary) thing to think about: I play Breton. I have a 1% AP gain bonus. How much of my 6 years did I save by committing to Breton?

No. This has nothing to do with global achievements.

Given how little I PvP, I doubt I'll ever get it. I'm not chasing that achievement.

If you play solo or regularly rotate between different toons it can take a long long time. If you run around in a ball group farming AP and stick with one character it can be done relatively quick, like a couple of months time.

Hi, I was in exactly that situation before this MYM and it only took four days after the festival started, technically 3 1/2 days given the start time. I used war torte but not the delve buff (missed too many ticks waiting for bosses to spawn), and was in the quiet campaigns purely to max out AP gains. I also moved campaigns when the additional AP buffs were up. Was far easier than I expected to get those last few levels.

I don't really PvP, but I did participate in the recent Whitestrake's Mayhem and had a lot more fun than I expected. Got to a measly rank 11 I suspect I'll never get to Grand Overlord, though I do want the dyes... Maybe one day I'll try to learn how to PvP.
