No children in Tamriel?

WoW has them since day 1. Never was a problem there, never seen one killed or digitally abused. Even has an annual weekly event; Children's Week.

I don't see why they couldn't be in ESO.

Not seeing it doesn't mean it didn't or wouldn't happen. It's a can of worms best left unopened.

Children in WoW can't be killed, can't be attacked or interacted with. They are just there for immersive reasons.
    It's that simple.

I’m perfectly fine with just thinking they are all just somewhere else other than where my char may be at the time. In school, at home, hiding in a basement - it doesn’t matter to me where they are.

On a slightly related note, today I was privileged to get to watch what must have been the worst child’s tantrum I have ever seen. I was at Disney Springs and this little child was crying and screaming at the top of his lungs. Like anyone, I wondered what could be the matter until I heard the child growl “I want it NOW!” in a very deep and guttural voice that made me consider the possibility of demonic possession. That experience, along with all the babies I’ve ever heard crying in restaurants and theaters, makes me very glad we don’t get to experience that in any form in Tamriel. I mean, can you imagine a quest where a baby is crying and we’re tasked to go find their lost toy?

The kids are all safely locked behind the doors of the houses and building we can't open.

Have you seen the number of cults in Tamriel? You practically trip over cultists every hundred meters in many zones, I can't blame the parents for not letting their kids wander around freely in a world like that.

Lies! Everyone knows there are no kids visible because they are hiding away and are the ONES who secretly run all these cults! They are the true evil of this world, please do not add any MORE of em!

Do children even exist in the ES universe? There are the Skyrim ones sure but every single one of them is human and light-skinned and there's no beast or elven counterparts.

There was a vampire girl in Oblivion I think it was, she even made it into The legends Card game. She was hundreds of years old as a vampire tho, obviously. I think she might have been a Breton or Imperial.

There are children. They just have adult models.

Take the prince and princess of Bangkorai. Their parents were married no earlier than in 566, which is clearly stated during the quests. The game starts 582 and when you get to Bangkorai, Akaviri invasion of 572 is still said to have been ten years earlier. At most we are at 583. The prince and princess are not twins apparently, so let's say they were born in 567 and 568.

They would be then, depending whether we are in 582 or 583, aged from 14-16.

It was a deliberate design decision so that there was no risk of murder or other questionable things done to them.

It was discussed on one of Slashlurks streams, cant remember which one

That's just stupid. People found ways to murder children in WoW all the time. And noone has cared, people just call out and hate the peson that found the bug and some really bad offenses got a ban as a reward.

ESO should do the same. Kids NEED to be in ESO. It would improve immersion and feel of the world. Just be smart about it, set them as essential and don't put their pathing/spawns near anything that would put them at risk of dying if it's that disturbing.

I never understood how this can even be a valid argument considering there are numerous child deaths depicted daily on TV/Netflix etc. And somehow NOBODY finds it THAT disturbing, cause "it's part of the story".

I do not need or want kids in this game. They add nothing to its playability.

I do apologise but I don't get this whole immersion thing, I just don't understand it. I play the game, I do what I want but am I immersed in it? No not at all, maybe in the odd quest line but even that probably not.

If I want immersion I'll watch a film, read a book or write. ESO is just a game

Considering some of the people online it is a blessing that there are no children in it

I see children in the game all the time. You can usually spot them as they scamper willy nilly all over the place, getting in the way....

    ...oh wait, you mean NPCs....

    Nevermind.

Scamps and children are difficult to tell apart.
