undaunted set changes

i use both undaunted sets on my sorc for heavy attack build. will this change to weap/mag damage stats rather than base damage increase my damage or decrease it?

well i tested it on PTS... on live i can do about 27-35k HA pulses (about 30k dps) running about 50k on an ice atro mob in craglorn, now my HA dps is 17k at the most on combat metrics and my overall dps on same mobs is about 45k or lower.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @zos anybody.... please do not do this change to the undaunted sets, they are perfect right now on live.

in my experience 60 weapon/spell dmg is equivalent to 1% increase in dmg of the attack

the amount that is being added from these sets is roughly a 35% dmg increase of the heavy attack, but its still only about 50% effective as the flat dmg bonus (so the current heavy attack buff sets are adding roughly +50-70% additional dmg)

if you were using both sets that would be a 70% dmg increase with the changes, or 120-140% increase pre-changes

this starts to become very noticeable dmg difference when you include crits into the mix

The Proplem is they where over performing in PvP. thats why the nerf was needed.

there are other verry ez options to do dmg now, even without LA-weaving you can achive 100k on the trila dummy.

then nerve them fpr pvp. they were not overperforming in pve.

its splash damage i like from lightning staff, that and endless resources. The other thread had a good idea making the undaunted sets base damage that only works on non players. that keeps it out of PVP and stays a top HA build set for PVE

Each set strike 3 times less than before.

You can try relequin + aether, to getboth the same dps as on live now in PVP and PVE.

Change is strange, sets as example like storm master and maelstorm staff was not effected for some reason.

So some strange no reasonable change.

For fans of this play style and sets it is nothing more than - mockery from developers.
