Love the setting and the vibe. Hate everything else. A card game would be a very nice addition NEXT TO something related to combat. But main feature for 40 bucks? No honey, no.

I don't think I even need to comment, this is somehow more underwhelming than last year. ZOS' incompetence and lack of touch never ceases to amaze me. Like what did they even do this entire year? Hope the playerbase goes down HARD this year tbh.

No. It's been years since ESO released something new that genuinely interested me. Scrying is a snooze. I couldn't care less about companions. I didn't even play Gwent in Witcher 3. I am so underwhelmed that it's almost painful.

Really enjoyed the location, the medieval look, etc.

But a card game instead of a new weapon or skill line? Haha. Okay. A card game should be a free base game update and a fun side activity. I'm glad it will be in the game, but the yearly cycle is starting to feel a bit stale without some new combat systems. A card game just doesn't feel like a "big" feature... hoping I am proved wrong though.

No new class is a dealbreaker for me. I have 6 alts for all classes one of them and I have nothing to do with them anymore. 3 yrs without new class is pure lazyness. And 2 new companions feels more like punishment then welcome addition with all that grind that acompanies them. Oh and card game means nothing to me, to be honest. Dont care. So for me its one year pause from the game. Maybe next year there will be new class. At least I'll save some money, or I'll try ff14, who knows :-)

I like the idea of the location. But the card game pisses me off, and not because it's a card game... It's because their company owns a very competent card game that they stopped supporting, and rather than folding that into ESO and saving tons of time developing a card game, they went the dumb route and are going to risk it with knock-off Fluxx.

No! Something like a card game would be fun for a DLC, or a free addition to the base game. Not a full priced chapter! There's nothing new for the same price as the other chapters that gave us classes, skill lines, pvp expansions, and big improvments to the game.

I like the sound of it all, and although I have no interest in card games I'm delighted for those that do enjoy them (so long as card game challenges can be disabled like duel invitations). The companions sound interesting. Doubtless there will be complaints especially from those that aren't really happy with the game that it's more of the same, but I suspect that's what most players who are happy with the game are looking for.

This announcement just reaffirms my belief that any new "major" system added to ESO MUST be able to be monetized long term via the crown store.

We will see if ESO live reveals any more system changes that may appeal to long term players, which everyone by should know, these announcement events for every new chapter is geared entirely toward fostering and attracting new players and ZOS will not squander any mainstream air time wasting said time on in depth discussions about the game for long time players.
