[Datamine] 2022 Chapter Details

I dont mind card game. If They put cards for doing content like daily quests, dungeons etc. that could be cool. But if they make it a grind and sell cards in crown store then.... also i dont like the fact that its the main system of this year... .

Its worse than that. The islands that were circled are NOT the Systres Archipelago. The tiny 3 islands NW of Summerset in that image are the Systres. You can barely make out the name there. Now I dont think the islands are going to be that small but Im not going to hold my breath for Vvardenfell/Summerset sized map.

The phrase "mastery of all nautical ..." is quite interesting - do we get to actually sail ships and have kind of naval engagement with pirate ships? Will they behave like actual sailing vessels or just be like in ubisoft games, where it doesn't matter from where the wind is coming from?- Just let's see if anything more interesting hides behind that phrase.

I guess they can’t place a giant mountain / volcano / glacier in the middle and block half of the island by unreachable terrain… right? Right…? What about a giant lake in the middle we can’t traverse? That would be new.

You people need to stop associating size on the map to size of a region in-game. ESO has never been scaled like that. For example all the starter islands and Bal Foyen are colossal zones in-game compared to what their world map size suggests.

For those complaining about "no mention of feature X that I wanted", keep in mind that these are Crown Store datamines from probably five months before the Chapter release. There could be tons of other features not mentioned, because they either won't be in the Crown Store, or because it is still months out before they get added to the Crown Store.

They have a good team and can fit, polish, and incentivize its play well enough, I just don't want it

Today is 5 months before release. Also these datamines are about the chapter advertising. There's nothing there about new mythics, for example, but you can be sure there will be some. New features on the level of stickerbook or curated RNG wouldn't be in this datamine either.

Because mythics are nothing you sell as an expansion feature. That's something as normal as new gear sets or new mounts at this point.

With this datamined stuff you're advertising the Chapter and exactly that. That's where you put the BIG features. All of the datamines have been true in the end, there is nothing more to expect. A class is a big feature, so is a new weapon, a new skill line or anything that's "new". Quality of life udaptes are no features you can sell either, so please don't mention something like armory or transmute.

I don't mind a cardgame, I spent many an hour playing the inn game in Might and Magic.

But no matter how elaborate, it would be a pretty poor main feature.

The only information mined today was information relevant to the new one page Chapter ad that will unlock today, and probably a few other new Crown Store cosmetics that will be in the store shortly. New skill lines wouldn't appear in the store for months still, so there's no reason for ZOS to have included them in today's patch. Those, or any other items that aren't included on that one-page Chapter ad today, will probably be data mined during the Chapter PTS, which won't be for at least three more months.

Granted, if ZOS planned to add any new exclusive features, they would "probably" appear in that one-page ad, but not necessarily. It really depends what text they think will sell the most Chapters. For example, I don't recall for sure, but I don't think Mythic items were in the Greymoor chapter ad text:


I'm pretty sure a new exclusive class would be in the text (I don't recall, but I'd be surprised if Morrowind and Elsweyr's ads didn't), but maybe not a new system, like Jewelry Crafting was with Summerset.

There's also a rule of thumb you under-promise and over deliver. So anything that might have to be culled to make launch date you don't announce early on, otherwise you have people disappointed or asking 2 years later where the 2 person mount went 8)
